What you can automate

What can the Zoho Inventory Make integration do?

The Zoho Inventory Make integration links your inventory account to Make, a no-code tool where you chain modules into a scenario (the automation you build). Make can watch your contacts, items, orders, packages and invoices, then create, update or delete records in Zoho Inventory without you opening it.

Packing that starts on its own. Watch Sales Orders picks up each new or edited order, and Create a Package prepares the matching package in Zoho Inventory. The warehouse sees work waiting instead of an email to read.

Supplier orders that follow stock. When Watch Item Adjustments sees a stock correction, Get an Item reads the item and Create a Purchase Order can prepare the reorder for your buyer to review.

A cleaner customer base. A new signup in your CRM or form tool becomes a customer through Create a Contact, and Create a Contact Person adds the right person at that company, so sales orders land on a complete record.

Know the boundaries before you start. Invoices only have a watch trigger here, with no module to create or edit them; for anything the listed modules skip, Make an API Call reaches the Zoho Inventory API with the same connection. The documentation gives no numeric limit for this app. If you still hesitate between tools, read n8n vs Make, check Make pricing for plan details, or learn the editor step by step with Make training.

Connect

How do you connect Zoho Inventory to Make?

  1. 01

    Copy your Organization ID

Log in to Zoho Inventory and click your profile icon in the upper-right corner. Your Organization ID sits at the top of that menu. Copy it and keep it at hand, Make will ask for it in a moment.

  2. 02

    Create the connection in Make

Add any Zoho Inventory module to your scenario and click Create a connection. A connection is your Zoho Inventory account linked to Make once, then reused by every module. In Connection type, choose Zoho Inventory OAuth2 and give it a name if you want.

  3. 03

    Paste the ID and authorize

Paste the ID into the Organization field and click Save. If Zoho asks you to sign in and confirm access, do it. The connection now appears in the module, ready for the next field.

First scenario

Your first scenario: a package for every new sales order

GoalWhen a sales order is created or updated in Zoho Inventory, Make creates the matching package.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to add the first module. Type Zoho Inventory in the search box.

  2. 02

    Add Watch Sales Orders

Pick Watch Sales Orders and select the connection you made earlier, or click Create a connection now. This trigger is scheduled: Make checks Zoho Inventory on the scenario's schedule.

  3. 03

    Add Create a Package

Click the + on the right of the trigger and choose Create a Package. Map the sales order the trigger returned into the module, so each package belongs to the right order.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once, then create or edit a test order in Zoho Inventory. Open the bubbles above each module to read the bundles (the items passed along) and check the new package.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Open the clock on the first module. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan cannot go below that. Adjust it, then switch the scenario on.

Triggers

What starts a Zoho Inventory scenario

8 modules start a scenario when something happens in Zoho Inventory. A scheduled trigger is checked by Make on the scenario's schedule; an instant one is called by Zoho Inventory as soon as it happens.

Zoho Inventory1Watch Contacts

Watch Contacts

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new contact is created or updated.

You get every new or edited Zoho Inventory contact delivered to your scenario, one bundle per contact, ready to be copied to a CRM, a mailing tool or a spreadsheet.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks the app on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan cannot check more often than that.
When to use it
pick it when customers or vendors are created in Zoho Inventory first and your sales team works in another tool that must stay in step.
Watch out
an edit counts as well as a creation, so the same contact can come back later. Plan the next module to update a record, not only to create one.
Zoho Inventory2Watch Item Groups

Watch Item Groups

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new item group is created or updated.

This trigger hands your scenario each item group that someone creates or edits, which is the natural place to catch a new product family before it reaches other tools.

How it fires
scheduled. Make polls Zoho Inventory on the scenario's schedule, with 15 minutes as the default and as the floor on the Free plan.
When to use it
a catalog team builds product families in Zoho Inventory and your online store or product sheet needs the same families without retyping them.
Watch out
it tracks the group, not every item inside it. If single items change on their own, Watch Items is the trigger that sees those edits.
Zoho Inventory3Watch Items

Watch Items

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new item is created or updated.

Each item that is added or changed in Zoho Inventory reaches the scenario as its own bundle, so the change can travel to every tool that depends on your catalog.

How it fires
scheduled. Make asks Zoho Inventory for changes on the scenario's schedule; a new scenario does it every 15 minutes, the minimum on the Free plan.
When to use it
keep a storefront, a price list or a purchasing sheet aligned with the items your stock team maintains in Zoho Inventory.
Watch out
a busy catalog produces many bundles, and each module run on each bundle costs an operation, the unit Make counts on your plan.
Zoho Inventory4Watch Item Adjustments

Watch Item Adjustments

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new item adjustment is created or updated.

Stock corrections become events you can act on: every item adjustment created or modified in Zoho Inventory starts the scenario with the details of that adjustment.

How it fires
scheduled. Make looks for new and edited adjustments on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes unless you change it on a paid plan.
When to use it
alert a manager when stock is written off after a count, or log every correction in a shared sheet so finance can see it.
Watch out
an adjustment that someone edits after saving comes back through the trigger, so a log should update its line rather than add a second one.
Zoho Inventory5Watch Sales Orders

Watch Sales Orders

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new sales order is created or updated.

Your scenario receives each sales order that Make finds new or updated in Zoho Inventory, which makes it the usual starting point for fulfillment automations.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks the app on the scenario's schedule, 15 minutes by default, and never faster than that on the Free plan.
When to use it
create the package, notify the warehouse channel or copy the order to accounting as soon as a salesperson confirms a deal.
Watch out
an order edited after creation fires again. If the next step creates a package, check first with Search Packages that the order does not already have one.
Zoho Inventory6Watch Packages

Watch Packages

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new package is created or updated.

Packing work turns into a signal for the rest of your stack: new and updated packages from Zoho Inventory each start the scenario with their own bundle.

How it fires
scheduled. On the scenario's schedule, Make asks Zoho Inventory what changed; the default and Free plan minimum is 15 minutes.
When to use it
tell the customer service team that an order is packed, or open a shipment order right after packing ends.
Watch out
since edits fire too, a package changed several times reaches the scenario several times. Keep the following steps safe to repeat, or read its state with Get a Package.
Zoho Inventory7Watch Purchase Orders

Watch Purchase Orders

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new purchase order is created or updated.

Every purchase order raised or edited in Zoho Inventory reaches the scenario, so buying decisions can reach approvers, suppliers and budget sheets without a manual export.

How it fires
scheduled. Make polls Zoho Inventory on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes out of the box; paid plans can go down to 1 minute.
When to use it
send each new purchase order to a manager for review, or add it to the cash planning sheet your finance team follows.
Watch out
updates count as triggers, so a purchase order corrected twice arrives twice. Make the destination update an existing line instead of stacking duplicates.
Zoho Inventory8Watch Invoices

Watch Invoices

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new invoice is created or updated.

Invoices issued or modified in Zoho Inventory flow into the scenario one by one, the only way this integration gives you to act on invoices with a listed module.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks for new and edited invoices on the scenario's schedule, 15 minutes by default and at minimum on the Free plan.
When to use it
copy each invoice to your accounting tool, or warn the account manager when one of their customers is billed.
Watch out
no listed module creates or edits invoices. If your scenario must change an invoice, Make an API Call is the route, using the same connection.
Modules

Everything Zoho Inventory can do in a scenario

Zoho Inventory gives you 46 modules in 10 groups. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Contacts

6 modules
Zoho Inventory1

Search Contacts

Search

In MakeSearches for a contact.

Find the contacts that match what another app tells you about a customer, and get back zero, one or several bundles to work with.

When to use it
before creating a customer from a web form, look them up so an existing record gets reused instead of doubled.
Watch out
a search can return nothing. Plan what the scenario does in that case, usually Create a Contact.
Zoho Inventory2

Get a Contact

Action

In MakeGets details of a contact.

Pull the full record of one contact you already know, so later modules can use its details instead of the few fields a trigger passed on.

When to use it
a sales order arrives with a customer reference and you need the complete customer before writing to your CRM.
Watch out
it needs an exact contact, not a name. Pair it with Search Contacts when you only have a name or an email.
Zoho Inventory3

Create a Contact

Action

In MakeCreates a contact with given information.

Add a new customer or vendor to Zoho Inventory straight from another tool, so orders and invoices have a record to attach to from day one.

When to use it
a lead signs a quote in your CRM and becomes a customer who will soon place orders.
Watch out
the module does not check for duplicates on its own. Run Search Contacts first if the same person may already exist.
Zoho Inventory4

Update a Contact

Action

In MakeUpdates an existing contact.

Change an existing contact in Zoho Inventory with fresh details from elsewhere, and keep a single source of truth for addresses and names.

When to use it
a customer edits their billing address in your client portal and the change must reach the inventory side too.
Watch out
you must point it at a precise contact. Find it with Search Contacts, then map what it returned into this module.
Zoho Inventory5

Delete a Contact

Action

In MakeDeletes an existing contact.

Remove a contact from Zoho Inventory as part of a cleanup, for example when a duplicate has been merged or a test record is no longer needed.

When to use it
your CRM marks a record as a duplicate and the inventory copy should disappear with it.
Watch out
test it with Run once on a throwaway contact first. If you want to keep the history, Mark a Contact Active/Inactive is the gentler option.
Zoho Inventory6

Mark a Contact Active/Inactive

Action

In MakeMarks a contact as active or inactive.

Switch a contact's status between active and inactive without deleting it, so a customer you stopped serving leaves your working lists while the record stays in place.

When to use it
a contract ends in your CRM, or a returning customer signs again and must come back to active.
Watch out
the module changes the status only. Any other edit to the contact still goes through Update a Contact.

Contact Person

6 modules
Zoho Inventory7

List Contact Persons

Search

In MakeLists all contact persons with pagination.

Retrieve the people attached to your contacts, page by page, and pass each one along the scenario as a separate bundle.

When to use it
you want every buyer and accountant at your client companies copied into a mailing tool or a sheet.
Watch out
each person returned is a bundle, and every later module runs once per bundle, which adds up in operations on your plan.
Zoho Inventory8

Get a Contact Person

Action

In MakeGets the details of a contact person.

Read the details of one specific person at a customer or vendor, useful when a later step needs their name or email to address a message.

When to use it
a purchase order is ready and you want to email the supplier's contact person rather than a generic inbox.
Watch out
it reads one person you already identified. To browse the people you do not know yet, use List Contact Persons.
Zoho Inventory9

Create a Contact Person

Action

In MakeCreates a contact person for contact.

Attach a new person to an existing contact in Zoho Inventory, so the company record carries the real people you deal with.

When to use it
a new buyer at a client company fills in your onboarding form and should appear under that client.
Watch out
a contact person belongs to a contact. Find or create the company first, then map it here.
Zoho Inventory10

Update a Contact Person

Action

In MakeUpdates details of an existing contact person.

Keep a person's details current in Zoho Inventory when they change job, phone or email in the system where your team first hears about it.

When to use it
your support tool records a new phone number for a client buyer and your inventory records should follow.
Watch out
it edits one known person. If several people share a name, identify the right one with List Contact Persons first.
Zoho Inventory11

Delete a Contact Person

Action

In MakeDeletes an existing contact person.

Take a person off a customer or vendor record once they no longer work there, so nobody sends orders or reminders to an outdated name.

When to use it
HR or your CRM flags that a client-side buyer has left the company.
Watch out
run it once on a test person before switching the scenario on, and double-check the mapping points to the person, not to the company.
Zoho Inventory12

Mark a Contact Person Primary

Action

In MakeMarks a contact person as primary for contact.

Set which person is the main contact for a customer or vendor, so the right name is the default one on that record.

When to use it
the account owner in your CRM changes at a client, and Zoho Inventory should point to the new main contact.
Watch out
the person must already exist under that contact. Chain it after Create a Contact Person when the new main contact is brand new.

Item Groups

5 modules
Zoho Inventory13

List Item Groups

Search

In MakeLists all the item groups that are present in the Zoho Inventory organization.

Pull every item group in your Zoho Inventory organization into the scenario, one bundle per group, to review or copy your product families.

When to use it
build a first export of your catalog families into a sheet, or compare them with the categories of your online store.
Watch out
a large catalog means many bundles. Every module placed after it runs once per group and counts operations.
Zoho Inventory14

Get an Item Group

Action

In MakeGets the details of an item group.

Read one product family in full, with what Zoho Inventory stores about it, when a trigger or a list only gave you a reference.

When to use it
Watch Item Groups signals a change and your store needs the full family before updating its page.
Watch out
it fetches a group you already point to. It does not search by name.
Zoho Inventory15

Create an Item Group

Action

In MakeCreates an item group.

Open a new product family in Zoho Inventory from another tool, so a launch planned elsewhere shows up in stock management without manual entry.

When to use it
your product team approves a new range in a project board or a sheet and the family should exist in inventory right after.
Watch out
nothing stops a second group with the same name. Check with List Item Groups when the same launch may be processed twice.
Zoho Inventory16

Update an Item Group

Action

In MakeUpdates the details of an existing item group.

Edit an existing product family in Zoho Inventory when its details change in the tool where your product team works.

When to use it
a range gets renamed or reworded in your product sheet and inventory must show the same wording.
Watch out
it changes the group, not each item under it. Use Update an Item for item-level edits.
Zoho Inventory17

Delete an Item Group

Action

In MakeDeletes an item group.

Remove a product family from Zoho Inventory when it has been dropped, and keep your catalog free of ranges nobody sells anymore.

When to use it
a range is marked as discontinued in your product sheet and should leave inventory too.
Watch out
test it with Run once on a dummy group, and map the group carefully, since the scenario deletes whatever it receives.

Items

4 modules
Zoho Inventory18

List Items

Search

In MakeLists all the items present in Zoho Inventory.

Get all the items in Zoho Inventory as separate bundles, a handy base for a stock report, a price review or a catalog sync.

When to use it
refresh a shared sheet of products and stock for a team that has no Zoho Inventory access.
Watch out
one bundle per item adds up quickly in operations. Place only the modules you truly need after it.
Zoho Inventory19

Get an Item

Action

In MakeGets the details of an item.

Look up one item in full, for instance to read its current details right after a trigger told you that something moved.

When to use it
Watch Item Adjustments reports a stock change and your alert should include the item's own details.
Watch out
it expects an item you can already identify. For a broader lookup, start from List Items.
Zoho Inventory20

Create an Item

Action

In MakeCreates a new item.

Add a new product to Zoho Inventory from the place where it is first defined, so it is ready to sell and stock without double entry.

When to use it
a supplier sends a new reference in a spreadsheet and your team approves it for sale.
Watch out
the module creates what it receives, duplicates included. Look the item up with List Items first when the same row may be read twice.
Zoho Inventory21

Update an Item

Action

In MakeUpdates an item.

Push changes to an existing product from the tool where your team decides them, so both sides describe it the same way.

When to use it
your pricing sheet gets a new selling price and Zoho Inventory should carry it for the next sales order.
Watch out
map the right item. A wrong mapping edits another product, so run it once on a test item first.

Item Adjustments

5 modules
Zoho Inventory22

List Item Adjustments

Search

In MakeLists all the item adjustments present in Zoho Inventory.

Collect the stock corrections recorded in Zoho Inventory, each as its own bundle, to audit them or feed a report.

When to use it
your controller wants every write-off and recount gathered in one sheet for a review.
Watch out
this is a one-off pull. To react to each new correction as it comes, Watch Item Adjustments fits better.
Zoho Inventory23

Get an Item Adjustment

Action

In MakeGets the details of an item adjustment.

Open one stock correction in detail, so a message or a log line can show exactly what changed and why it was recorded.

When to use it
a manager approves corrections in a chat tool and needs the full adjustment in front of them.
Watch out
it reads one adjustment you already point to, usually taken from a trigger or from List Item Adjustments.
Zoho Inventory24

Create an Item Adjustment

Action

In MakeCreates a new item adjustment.

Record a stock correction in Zoho Inventory from outside, so counts done on a phone form or in a sheet end up in your inventory figures.

When to use it
a warehouse worker submits a damaged goods report and the stock should drop accordingly.
Watch out
each run writes a new adjustment. A form submitted twice would correct stock twice, so guard the entry point.
Zoho Inventory25

Delete an Item Adjustment

Action

In MakeDeletes an item adjustment.

Cancel a stock correction that was recorded by mistake, to bring the adjustment history back to what really happened.

When to use it
a reviewer rejects a correction in your approval tool and the entry must leave Zoho Inventory.
Watch out
run it once on a test adjustment before going live, and make sure the mapping carries the exact adjustment rejected.
Zoho Inventory26

Mark an Item Active/Inactive

Action

In MakeMarks an item status as active or inactive.

Turn a product on or off in Zoho Inventory without deleting it, so a paused product disappears from daily work while its record remains.

When to use it
a product goes out of season in your store, or a supplier stops a reference for a while.
Watch out
only the status changes. Price or name updates still go through Update an Item.

Sales Order

5 modules
Zoho Inventory27

List Sales Orders

Search

In MakeLists all the available Sales Orders in Zoho Inventory.

Bring the sales orders of your Zoho Inventory account into the scenario, each as a bundle, for reporting or a batch follow-up.

When to use it
build a sheet of open orders for a sales meeting, or check which orders still lack a package.
Watch out
it returns what exists now. For a scenario that reacts to each new order, use Watch Sales Orders.
Zoho Inventory28

Get a Sales Order

Action

In MakeGets the details of a sales order.

Fetch one sales order in full when the next step needs more than a reference to do its job.

When to use it
your shipping or invoicing tool needs the complete order before it can prepare a label or a document.
Watch out
point it at a known order, often the one a trigger returned. It is not a search.
Zoho Inventory29

Create a Sales Order

Action

In MakeCreates a new sales order in Zoho Inventory.

Turn a sale made elsewhere into a Zoho Inventory sales order, so stock and fulfillment follow without anyone retyping it.

When to use it
an order paid on your online store or a deal won in your CRM must reach the warehouse.
Watch out
the customer must exist. Chain Search Contacts and, if needed, Create a Contact before this module.
Zoho Inventory30

Update a Sales Order

Action

In MakeUpdates a sales order.

Change an existing sales order when the customer adjusts quantities or details in the tool where the sale was made.

When to use it
a client edits their cart in your B2B portal after ordering, and Zoho Inventory must match before packing.
Watch out
an edit also fires Watch Sales Orders. If both sit in your account, avoid a loop where one scenario keeps feeding the other.
Zoho Inventory31

Delete a Sales Order

Action

In MakeDeletes a sales order.

Remove a sales order from Zoho Inventory when the sale falls through, so the warehouse never prepares a cancelled order.

When to use it
a payment fails or a customer cancels in your store before anything is packed.
Watch out
try it with Run once on a test order first, and map the order precisely, since the module deletes what it receives.

Packages

5 modules
Zoho Inventory32

Search Packages

Search

In MakeSearches for a package.

Look for packages in Zoho Inventory and get back zero, one or several of them, to check what is already packed.

When to use it
before creating a package for an order, make sure one does not exist yet.
Watch out
plan for the empty result. A search that finds nothing returns no bundle, and the following modules will not run.
Zoho Inventory33

Get a Package

Action

In MakeGets the details of a package.

Read one package in detail, useful to tell a customer or a carrier what was packed for their order.

When to use it
Watch Packages flags a change and your support tool needs the package's current details.
Watch out
it works on a known package, typically handed over by a trigger or by Search Packages.
Zoho Inventory34

Create a Package

Action

In MakeCreates a new package.

Prepare the package for a sales order automatically, so the packing team sees the job waiting in Zoho Inventory as soon as the order exists.

When to use it
right after Watch Sales Orders, for every confirmed order that ships from your warehouse.
Watch out
an edited order fires the trigger again. Check with Search Packages first to avoid a second package for the same order.
Zoho Inventory35

Update a Package

Action

In MakeUpdates a package.

Correct an existing package when what goes in the box changes after packing has been planned.

When to use it
a customer swaps a product on their order and the planned package must follow before shipping.
Watch out
map the right package. Search Packages helps you find it when you only have the order.
Zoho Inventory36

Delete a Package

Action

In MakeDeletes a package.

Drop a package that should not exist, for example after an order was cancelled or a package was created twice.

When to use it
a cancellation in your store should also clear the package planned in Zoho Inventory.
Watch out
test it once on a dummy package before activation, and keep the mapping tied to the cancelled order.

Shipment Orders

4 modules
Zoho Inventory37

Get a Shipment Order

Action

In MakeGets the details of a shipment order.

Retrieve one shipment order to know where a parcel stands, and pass its details to the tools that talk to your customers.

When to use it
a customer asks your support desk about their delivery and the ticket should show the shipment.
Watch out
there is no list or search module for shipments in this group, so keep the shipment reference from the step that created it.
Zoho Inventory38

Create a Shipment Order

Action

In MakeCreates a new shipment order.

Open the shipment for a packed order without leaving your flow, so shipping starts as soon as packing is done.

When to use it
after Watch Packages, when a finished package should move straight to shipping.
Watch out
a package edited after packing fires the trigger again. Store the shipment you created so the scenario does not open a second one.
Zoho Inventory39

Mark a Shipment Order as Delivered

Action

In MakeMarks a shipment order as delivered.

Close the loop on a shipment by setting it to delivered, so Zoho Inventory reflects what the carrier or the customer confirmed.

When to use it
a delivery confirmation arrives by email or from a carrier tool, and the order history should say it arrived.
Watch out
map the shipment order itself, kept from Create a Shipment Order or read with Get a Shipment Order.
Zoho Inventory40

Delete a Shipment Order

Action

In MakeDeletes a shipment otder.

Remove a shipment order that was opened by mistake, so your delivery tracking only shows parcels that really left.

When to use it
a shipment was created for the wrong package, or an order was stopped at the last moment.
Watch out
check the mapping twice and run it once on a test shipment, because the module removes the shipment it receives.

Purchase Orders

5 modules
Zoho Inventory41

List Purchase Orders

Search

In MakeLists all the available purchase orders in Zoho Inventory.

Pull the purchase orders stored in Zoho Inventory, each one handed to the next module as its own bundle (one item that moves through the scenario). Handy when a later step has to review or copy several orders at once.

When to use it
a buyer wants every open order copied into a shared sheet so the warehouse can see what is coming.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles, and every following module runs once per bundle, which adds operations to your plan.
Zoho Inventory42

Get a Purchase Order

Action

In MakeGets the details of a purchase order.

Read the full details of a single purchase order you already know, so later modules can read its content. Pick it instead of List Purchase Orders when an earlier step, such as the Watch Purchase Orders trigger, already gave you the order.

When to use it
an order changes and you want its full content before posting a summary to your purchasing team.
Watch out
map the order from a previous module rather than typing it by hand, or the scenario always fetches the same one.
Zoho Inventory43

Create a Purchase Order

Action

In MakeCreates a new purchase order.

Write a new purchase order into Zoho Inventory, ready for your supplier, without anyone retyping it. The data comes from whatever module sits before it: a form, a sheet row, a low stock alert from another tool.

When to use it
a restock request approved in your team chat should turn straight into an order.
Watch out
click Run once on a test case first and check the order in Zoho Inventory before switching the scenario on, since each run creates a real order.
Zoho Inventory44

Update a Purchase Order

Action

In MakeUpdates a purchase order.

Bring an existing purchase order in line with what the supplier confirmed, instead of creating a second one. The module needs to know which order to touch, usually mapped from a trigger or a search placed earlier in the scenario.

When to use it
a supplier replies with a corrected quantity and the order must reflect it.
Watch out
placed after List Purchase Orders, it edits every order the search returned, so narrow the search before testing.
Zoho Inventory45

Delete a Purchase Order

Action

In MakeDeletes a purchase order.

Remove a purchase order from Zoho Inventory, so duplicates stop cluttering your purchasing list. Use it only when the order truly has to disappear rather than be corrected with Update a Purchase Order.

When to use it
a duplicate order was created by mistake and a teammate flags it for removal.
Watch out
the module deletes the order it receives, so map it carefully and test with Run once on a throwaway order.

Other

1 module
Zoho Inventory46

Make an API Call

Action

In MakePerforms an arbitrary authorized API call.

Call any endpoint of the Zoho Inventory API from your scenario, reusing the connection (your Zoho Inventory account linked to Make once) you already set up. It covers what the other modules leave out.

When to use it
you need an object or an operation that none of the listed modules offers.
Watch out
you write the request yourself, so keep the Zoho Inventory API documentation open next to the module and test with Run once before activating.

FAQ

Zoho Inventory and Make: common questions

01Is the Zoho Inventory Make integration free?
Yes, Zoho Inventory is a standard app, so you can use it on the Make Free plan. That plan keeps you to 2 active scenarios, a scheduled run every 15 minutes at most, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute, remove the active scenario cap and allow 40 minutes of execution. Make counts usage in operations per month, one per module run.
02What do you need to connect Zoho Inventory to Make?
You need a Zoho Inventory account and its Organization ID. Find the ID by clicking your profile icon in the upper-right corner of Zoho Inventory: it shows at the top of the menu. In Make, click Create a connection, choose Zoho Inventory OAuth2 as the connection type, paste the ID in the Organization field and save. Sign in to Zoho and confirm access if asked. Custom app credentials are optional and sit under Show advanced settings.
03Do Zoho Inventory triggers in Make fire instantly?
No. All 8 Zoho Inventory triggers are scheduled: Make checks your account on the scenario's schedule and picks up records created or updated since the last check. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes, which is also the shortest interval on the Free plan. Paid plans can check every minute. None of the triggers is instant, so a sales order or an invoice reaches the scenario at the next check, not the second it is saved.
04What if a Zoho Inventory module is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. It calls any endpoint of the Zoho Inventory API from your scenario with the same connection, so you are not limited to the 54 listed modules. It is the way to edit invoices, for example, since invoices only have a watch trigger here. The Make documentation lists no numeric limit for this app. Keep the Zoho Inventory API documentation open to choose the endpoint and the data to send.
05Should you use Make or n8n for Zoho Inventory?
It depends on the tool your team already runs and on the modules you need. On Make, Zoho Inventory offers 54 modules covering contacts, items, stock adjustments, sales orders, packages, shipments and purchase orders, plus a generic API call, and it works on the Free plan. The same app often has an n8n node too. Before choosing, list the steps of your process and check that each one exists in the tool you consider.
