What the Acadimiat Zapier integration actually does
Acadimiat gives trainers and experts an online academy to sell courses, bundles, consultancies and downloads. Plugged into Zapier, it does two jobs: it reports what learners do in your academy (sign-ups, purchases, quiz results, comments) to other tools, and it lets other tools enroll, notify or create trainees inside it.
Three results people usually want from it. A buyer who gets access with no manual step: New Course Purchase starts the Zap and Assign Bundle to Trainee hands over the matching bonus pack. A language school that reacts to a finished level: Completed Course fires, then Assign Course to Trainee opens the next level for the same learner. A yoga teacher who never misses a new student: New User sends the sign-up to whatever tool holds the student list.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing trainee or course before acting. Nothing edits or deletes either. The six actions create a trainee, assign one of four product types, or send a notification. Every trigger is instant, which matters on the free plan: the 15-minute wait of polled apps never applies.
No Acadimiat page exists yet for n8n or Make. For the platform choice itself, the Make vs Zapier comparison lays out the criteria, and the Zapier review covers the tool on its own.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words come back on this page. Here is each one in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or assigns something for you in an app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action that completes successfully; your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already stored in an app so later steps can use it. Acadimiat offers none.
- Connection
- Your Acadimiat account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches the app.
What an Acadimiat Zap really costs
Short version: the trigger is free, each successful action costs one task, and Acadimiat works on the free plan because it is not a premium app.
- Trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2-step Zaps
- Premium appNo, free plan works
Zapier only bills completed actions. The trigger never costs a task, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three tasks per run, so a busy course launch adds up fast. A few apps and actions take more than one task each. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a second action or a filter and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns polling triggers only; all 16 Acadimiat triggers are instant, so it never slows them down.
Connect your Acadimiat account in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an Acadimiat account first, plus access to any academy content you do not own but want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Acadimiat and confirm
Type Acadimiat in the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens on the Acadimiat side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Acadimiat in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is then saved once and reused by every Zap you build with Acadimiat afterward.
Your first Zap: unlock the next course when one is finished
GoalWhen a learner completes a course, give them the follow-up course and tell them it is ready.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Acadimiat as the app and
Completed Courseas the event. Choose your connection, then select the course to watch in Courses, which is mandatory. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the account, so you can map the next steps on a real learner instead of a blank example.
- 03
Add the course assignment
Add
Assign Course to Trainee. Paste the ID of the follow-up course, read at the end of its URL in the academy panel, and map Trainee Email from the trigger sample if it carries one. - 04
Add the notification
Add
Send Notification to Trainee, write the Text the learner will read, and map the same Trainee Email. This third step makes it a multi-step Zap, so a paid plan. - 05
Test, then publish
Test each action once and check the result in Acadimiat. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. It only reacts to courses completed after that moment.
The 16 Acadimiat triggers
16 events start a Zap when something happens in Acadimiat, and 16 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Comment Added to a Discussion
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user adds a comment to a discussion within a course.”
Starts the Zap whenever a learner writes in the discussion area of one of your courses. It turns a forum reply into an alert, a ticket or a line in a tracking sheet, so questions stop sitting unanswered.
Comment Added on Video
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user adds a comment on videos.”
Reacts to feedback left under a lesson video rather than in a discussion thread. Video comments often point to one precise moment that confused people, which makes them useful raw material for fixing content.
Post Added on Wiki
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new user adds a post on the wiki in a course.”
Catches new wiki entries written inside a course. Wikis tend to be where learners share notes and resources, so a new post is often worth reviewing before others rely on it.
Product Added to Cart
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user adds a product to the cart.”
Fires on buying intent, before any payment: someone has put a product in the cart. That makes it the starting point for anything that reacts to interest rather than to a sale.
New Assignment Solution
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user uploads an assignment solution in the academy.”
Picks up the moment a learner hands in work for an assignment. For a trainer who grades by hand, this is the event that should land on the to-do list, not something to find by browsing the panel.
Completed Course
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new user completes a course in the academy.”
Signals that a learner reached the end of a course. It is the natural trigger for whatever comes next: a certificate, a follow-up offer, a survey or access to the next level.
Quiz Ended
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user finishes a test.”
Runs when someone finishes a test inside the academy. Quizzes measure progress, so the end of one is a good moment to log the result elsewhere or to react with the right follow-up material.
User Goes to Checkout Page
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user goes to the checkout page.”
One step further than the cart: the visitor has reached checkout. Someone who stops here without paying is still a warm lead, which is why this event matters for anyone selling courses or coaching.
New Bundle Purchase
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new bundle is purchased.”
Fires once a bundle, a pack of several products sold together, has been bought. This buyer opens several products at once, so the welcome can guide them through everything they just unlocked.
New Consultancy Purchased
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new consultancy has been purchased.”
Reports the sale of a consultancy, the one-to-one service sold through the academy. Since it involves your own time, it usually calls for faster follow-up than a course sale.
New Course Purchase
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new course is purchased.”
The classic sale event: somebody bought one of your courses. It feeds accounting, onboarding and community tools, and it is the most common trigger for academies that sell individual programs.
New Digital Downloads
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new digital download is purchased.”
Fires on the purchase of a digital download, such as a template, an ebook or a workbook. The buyer already knows your work, so they are a lead worth tagging for later offers.
New User
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new user sign up in academy.”
Fires when someone creates an account in your academy, paid or not. It is the widest net of the list and the right start for any welcome sequence or contact sync.
Create Trainee also adds an account, so a Zap that pairs both can loop on itself.Message Sent in a Consultancy
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user sends a message in consultancy in your academy.”
Follows the private conversation attached to a consultancy. When a client writes there, the Zap can push the message to wherever you actually read your messages during the day.
User Subscribes to Newsletter
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user subscribes to the newsletter.”
Fires on a newsletter opt-in made through the academy. That subscriber has asked to hear from you without buying anything yet, which is a different audience from course buyers.
Coupon Used
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user uses a coupon in the academy.”
Reacts to a discount code being applied in the academy. Tracking it shows which promotion or which partner actually brings buyers, something hard to read from sales totals alone.
The 6 Acadimiat actions
Acadimiat gives you 6 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Assign Bundle to Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Assign Bundle to a Trainee in the Academy”
Hands a whole pack of products to a learner in one step, instead of one assignment per course. Bundle ID and Trainee Email are required.
Assign Consultancy to Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Assign Consultancy to a Trainee in the Academy.”
Grants a learner a consultancy, the one-to-one service, without them buying it in the academy. It needs the Consultancy ID, found at the end of the consultancy page URL, and the Trainee Email.
Assign Course to Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Assign Course to a Trainee in the Academy.”
Gives an existing learner access to one course. You need the Course Id, read at the end of the course page URL in the academy panel, and the Trainee Email.
Assign Digital Download to Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Assign Digital Download to a Trainee in the Academy”
Adds a downloadable product, a template or a guide, to a learner's account. The Digital Download ID sits at the end of that product's URL in the panel; Trainee Email is also required.
Create Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Create a trainee in the academy.”
Opens a learner account in the academy from data held in another tool. Full Name, Email and Phone Number are all mandatory.
Send Notification to Trainee
ActionIn Zapier“Send Notification to a Trainee in the Academy”
Posts a message to a learner inside the academy, where they follow their courses. You write the Text and point it at a Trainee Email, both mandatory.
When an Acadimiat Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Acadimiat and no app-specific limit has been recorded. What breaks is the general behavior of Zapier itself.
Four situations account for most surprises. When one shows up anyway, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the fixes.
Past events are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Learners who bought or signed up before that are ignored, and moving them is a separate job.A Zap that triggers itself
Pair New User with Create Trainee and each created account can start the Zap again. Such a loop burns through the task count very fast.A bulk import gets held back
After importing many learners at once, a sudden flood of events can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running.A required ID is missing
Assignments need a product ID and a Trainee Email. If the trigger sample carries no email, the action has nothing to fill and fails.
