Overview

What the Adaptix Zapier integration is for

It connects Adaptix, a marketing automation platform, to the rest of your tools through Zapier. Six events in Adaptix (a contact added or changed, an email opened, a form sent, a page visited, a score moving) can start an automation, and one action lets other apps push contacts into Adaptix.

Hot leads flagged to sales. A SaaS marketer wants reps to hear about a prospect as soon as the lead score climbs. Contact Points Changed starts the Zap, a filter keeps only big jumps, and the next step alerts the team.

Webinar sign-ups that land in the right place. New Form Entry fires on a chosen Adaptix form, and the Zap copies each registration to the tool your events team runs.

Contacts kept current from outside. When someone buys in your shop, Create or Update Contact writes them into Adaptix, adding them if new and refreshing them if not.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an Adaptix contact before acting, and the action list holds one entry, Create or Update Contact. Everything else Adaptix does stays inside Adaptix. Tagging, list moves or email sends are not offered in the editor. If those matter, weigh the platforms in n8n vs Zapier or read the full Zapier review first.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words you will see on every screen, in plain English.

Zap
An automation on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event takes place.
Trigger
The event in an app that kicks the Zap off. Once the Zap is live, Zapier waits for exactly that event.
Action
The work the Zap does after it starts: writing, sending or moving something in an app so you don't have to.
Task
What Zapier bills you for: one action completed successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of tasks.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a schedule, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval. None of Adaptix's work this way.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier as the event happens. All six Adaptix triggers are of this kind.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
Connection
Your Adaptix account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches Adaptix.
Cost

What an Adaptix Zap costs in tasks

Zapier charges for actions that complete, not for events. The trigger never costs a task, and a failed action is not counted either.

  • Trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Paid-only appNo

Each action that succeeds counts by itself, so three actions in one Zap use three times the tasks of a single action. Watching for new events is free however often it happens. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Adaptix itself is available on the free plan. Plan your filters around that limit.

Connect

Connect Adaptix to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Start from the Apps page

In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. In the dialog, search for Adaptix and select it. One connection serves every Adaptix Zap you build later.

  2. 02

    Sign in to Adaptix

Click Add connection. A new tab opens on Adaptix. Log in with the account that owns the contacts, forms and emails your Zaps will watch, not a throwaway test user.

  3. 03

    Approve the access

Grant Zapier access. The connection appears in your list and every Adaptix Zap reuses it. If some records belong to a colleague, the connected account still needs read or write rights on them.

First Zap

Your first Zap: score jumps that update the contact

GoalWhen a contact's points change in Adaptix, keep only real jumps, then refresh that contact with the new status your team uses.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Adaptix and the Contact Points Changed event, then select your connection. There is nothing else to set on this trigger.

  2. 02

    Test it on real data

Run the test. Zapier pulls the three most recent items from your Adaptix account, so you map later steps on a real contact instead of sample values.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, then choose the points field, a number rule and your threshold. A text rule on a number never passes.

  4. 04

    Add the contact action

Add Adaptix again with Create or Update Contact, and map the contact details the trigger brought back so the right person gets refreshed.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the action and open the contact in Adaptix to check it. Then click Publish. With the filter this is a three-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

Triggers

The 6 Adaptix triggers

6 events start a Zap when something happens in Adaptix, and 6 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Contact

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new contact is created.”

Starts your Zap each time a person is added to your Adaptix database. It is the cleanest entry point for anything that should happen once per new lead.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
copying every new lead into the CRM your sales team works from.
Watch out
contacts that were already in Adaptix before you published the Zap never reach it.
2

Updated Contact

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an existing contact is updated.”

Fires whenever an existing contact record changes in Adaptix. Use it when what matters is not the arrival of a lead but what happens to it afterwards, such as a new job title or a changed address.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
keeping a billing tool aligned when a client edits their company details.
Watch out
pairing it with Create or Update Contact makes the Zap restart itself, since every write counts as an update.
3

Email Viewed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a contact views a specific email.”

Reacts when a contact opens one particular Adaptix email. It turns a quiet signal of interest into an event the rest of your stack can act on, instead of a number in a campaign report.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a rep gets pinged when a prospect reads the pricing email.
Watch out
it watches a specific email, so a Zap built on one campaign does nothing for the next one.
4

New Form Entry

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a form is submitted.”

Runs as soon as someone sends one of your Adaptix forms. Every answer becomes data the following steps can reuse, which makes this the natural start for registrations, quote requests and downloads.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
pushing demo requests into your calendar tool for the sales team.
Watch out
the Form field is required, so build and save the form in Adaptix before setting up the Zap.
5

New Page Hit

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a landing page is visited by a contact.”

Goes off when a known contact visits one of your Adaptix landing pages. Anonymous visitors don't count: this is about people Adaptix already recognizes, which makes each run a real buying signal.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
logging a visit to the pricing landing page on the deal in your CRM.
Watch out
busy pages can send a large burst of runs, and each action that follows uses a task.
6

Contact Points Changed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when on a contact points change.”

Triggers when a contact's points move up or down in Adaptix. It links the score Adaptix keeps on each contact to the people who should act on it.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
handing a lead to sales the moment its score crosses your qualification bar.
Watch out
it fires on every change, small ones included, so add a filter unless you want a run per point.
Actions

The Adaptix action

Adaptix gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create or Update Contact

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new contact or updates and existing contact.”

Writes a person into Adaptix: if no matching contact exists it adds one, otherwise it refreshes the existing record. One step covers both cases, so you never have to check first.

When to use it
every buyer in your online shop becomes or updates an Adaptix contact for post-purchase emails.
Watch out
each run updates a contact, which fires Updated Contact if another Zap watches it.
When it breaks

When an Adaptix Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article for Adaptix, so these are the general limits. With six instant triggers, they show up fast.

Four situations explain most surprises after launch. When a Zap still acts up, the Zapier troubleshooting guide runs through the usual checks.

  • Your existing contacts are skipped

A Zap reacts only to events after you switch it on. Contacts, entries and visits from before are never picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The contact Zap loops

Updated Contact plus Create or Update Contact on the same account means each write triggers the Zap again, and your tasks drain quickly.
  • A big import gets held back

Importing a large list fires New Contact for many people at once. Zapier's flood protection can hold that burst back instead of running it.
  • The next campaign is not covered

Email Viewed watches one specific email. Send a new campaign and the old Zap stays silent until you build one for that email.

FAQ

Adaptix Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Adaptix Zapier integration free?
Yes, for two-step Zaps. Adaptix is not limited to paid plans, so on the free plan you can pair any of its six triggers with one action, within 100 tasks a month. Sending each form entry to a spreadsheet fits. Add a filter, a second action or any extra step and the Zap becomes multi-step, which requires a paid plan. Since Contact Points Changed and New Page Hit often need a filter to stay useful, expect to upgrade for those.
02How many tasks does an Adaptix Zap use?
One per action that completes. The six Adaptix triggers cost nothing, however often they fire. A Zap that runs Create or Update Contact and then posts a message uses two tasks per run, and a failed action is not counted. The risk is volume: New Page Hit and Contact Points Changed can fire a lot, and every run that reaches an action spends a task. A filter placed right after the trigger keeps that under control.
03Are Adaptix triggers real time?
Yes, all six. They are instant triggers: Adaptix notifies Zapier as soon as the contact, email, form, page or points event happens, and the Zap starts straight away. This holds on every plan, the free one included, so the 15-minute check of the free plan never applies to Adaptix. The editor shows a lightning bolt on these Zaps. When you test one, Zapier brings back the three most recent items of your account, so you map the next step on a real contact.
04What does connecting Adaptix to Zapier require?
An Adaptix account and a Zapier account. You add the connection from the Apps page, sign in to Adaptix in the tab that opens and approve the access. Use the account that owns the forms, emails and contacts your Zaps will watch. If some records belong to someone else, the connected user still needs read or write rights on them. For New Form Entry, the form must already exist in that account.
05Why does an Adaptix contact Zap keep running?
Most likely it is looping. Updated Contact fires whenever a contact changes, and Create or Update Contact changes a contact every time it runs. Put both in the same chain and each write starts the Zap again, eating tasks. Break the loop by starting from a different trigger, such as New Form Entry, or by adding a filter that lets the Zap through only when a value your action does not touch has changed.
06What if the Adaptix operation you need does not exist?
Then Zapier cannot do it with Adaptix right now. The editor offers six triggers and a single action, Create or Update Contact, with no search. Tagging, list changes or sending an email are not in that list. Sometimes the triggers alone are enough, since they feed other apps that do the rest. If not, compare other automation tools on the exact operation that is missing rather than on a general ranking.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Adaptix?
Judge on criteria, not reputation. Zapier gives you six instant triggers and one contact action with a short setup, a good fit when the job is sending Adaptix events to other apps quickly. If you need lookups, branching or heavy volume from page hits, check whether Make or n8n expose the Adaptix operations you rely on, and how they bill them. Compare three things: operations available, cost at your volume, and who will maintain the flows.
