What the Adificial Zapier integration actually does
Adificial produces personalized, data-driven videos in bulk. Zapier sits next to it and runs small automations for you: when something happens in one app, it does something in another. With Adificial, that means starting deployments, uploading the CSV data behind your videos, and hearing back when a deployment is done.
A deployment that starts itself. A marketing agency signs off a campaign in its project tool, and Create Deployment launches the matching Adificial Story on the landing page you picked. Nobody has to log in to press the button.
Fresh viewer data, uploaded for you. Your CRM exports a new list of prospects as a CSV. Create Connection takes that file, names it, and turns it into a Connection inside Adificial, so the personalized videos have the latest names to work with.
A heads-up when the work is finished. Deployment Completed watches a Story and tells the rest of your stack once a deployment is through: a message to the account manager, a row in a tracking sheet, a task in your project tool.
What Zapier does not do here: it cannot search Adificial, so a Zap never looks up an existing Story or Connection on its own. Each Story, landing page and output format is picked by hand in the editor. And the only event Zapier can listen to is a finished deployment.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every Zapier page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one starting event, then one or more steps that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that creates, sends or uploads something in an app for you.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that completed successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Adificial account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches Adificial.
What an Adificial Zap really costs
Zapier bills tasks, and only actions make tasks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- BilledEach successful action
The Deployment Completed trigger never costs anything, however often Zapier checks. Each Create Deployment or Create Connection that goes through counts as one task; a failed one is not counted. Adificial is not a premium app, so the free plan works. The catch: a free Zap stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
Connect your Adificial account in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You will need an Adificial account first, with access to the Stories you plan to automate.
- 02
Find Adificial and confirm
Type Adificial in the search box of the dialog that appears, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Adificial side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Adificial in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is saved once, and every future Adificial step in any Zap simply reuses it.
Your first Zap: log every finished Adificial deployment for the client team
GoalEach time a deployment of a client's Story is done, a card lands on the account board and a row is added to the delivery sheet.
- 01
Create the Zap and set the trigger
Start a new Zap, pick Adificial and the
Deployment Completedevent, then choose the client's Story and the output file format. Both fields are required. - 02
Test the trigger on a real deployment
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent deployments of the connected account, so you map the next steps against a real one.
- 03
Add the Trello card
Add Trello and its Create Card action, pick the account board, and drop in what the trigger returned so the card says which deployment just finished.
- 04
Log it in the delivery sheet
From the plus icon, add Google Sheets as a second action. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each action once and check the card and the new row actually appeared where expected. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.
Adificial trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Adificial. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
Deployment Completed
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a deployment has completed.”
Lets a Zap start once Adificial has finished a deployment of the Story you choose, so the next step can tell people, log it or hand the work on. It is the only event Zapier can watch in Adificial.
Adificial actions
Adificial gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Deployment
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new deployment for a given Story.”
Launches a new deployment of an existing Adificial Story, on the landing page you select, without anyone opening the platform.
Create Connection
ActionIn Zapier“Uploads a new CSV file and creates a new Connection”
Takes a CSV file, uploads it to Adificial and turns it into a new named Connection, the data source your personalized videos read from.
When an Adificial Zap breaks
Zapier publishes no help article dedicated to Adificial, so the traps below are the general ones that apply to it.
Most of them come from timing: what the Zap sees, when, and what it already saw. If a Zap still misbehaves after these checks, the Zapier troubleshooting guide goes further.
Old deployments are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Deployments finished before that stay invisible, and moving that history is a separate job.A deployment that restarts itself
Pair Deployment Completed with Create Deployment on the same Story and every finished run starts a new one. The loop keeps going and burns your tasks fast.A sudden flood gets held back
If a bulk run finishes many deployments at once, the trigger returns a huge batch and Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything. No double runs on the same item
Zapier remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so one finished deployment never starts the Zap twice. A slow check never means a missed one either.
