Afleet Zapier integrationAutomate Afleet with Zapier.

The Afleet Zapier integration gives you 6 triggers and 7 actions, and no search. All six triggers run on a timer, Afleet is not a premium app, and nearly every step asks for the same Program ID. Here is what each one does, costs and breaks.

Overview

What the Afleet Zapier integration actually does

Afleet is a platform for growing a business through the customers it already has: ambassadors, campaigns, rewards. The integration plugs it into Zapier, so an event in your Afleet program (a new reward, a new ambassador, a submission accepted or turned down) can start work in another app, and the other way round.

Three results people usually build first. A reward that pays out by itself: Successful Submission of an Ambassador starts the Zap and Distribute Reward settles it, which suits a skincare brand running a review program. A tidy roster outside Afleet: Enroll Ambassador copies every new member into the spreadsheet or CRM your sales team already reads. Campaigns created from your planning tool: an events agency that plans content elsewhere can push it into Afleet with Create UGC Campaign instead of typing it twice.

Now the limits. There is no search step on this app, so a Zap cannot look up an ambassador or a campaign that already exists in Afleet; it only works with what the trigger hands over or what you type in. There is no instant trigger either: every Afleet trigger waits for the next check. And nothing here edits an existing campaign: you can create one or delete one, not change it.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven words come back on every line of this page. Each one, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in Afleet (or another app) that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that creates, sends, deletes or moves something on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that went through; your plan's allowance is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant one is pushed by the app the moment it happens. All six Afleet triggers poll.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Afleet account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Afleet.
Cost

What an Afleet Zap really costs

Afleet is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The trigger never costs a task, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to look for new data.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
  • AfleetNot a premium app
  • Trigger checksNever billed

Each action that goes through counts as one task; one that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and builds two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. On Free, every Afleet trigger is checked every 15 minutes; Professional brings that down to 2, Team and Enterprise to 1.

Connect

Connect Afleet to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

Sign in to Zapier, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an Afleet account first, plus access to any program you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick Afleet

In the dialog, type Afleet, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Afleet side, where you sign in with the account that runs your ambassador program.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Approve the access Zapier asks for. The connection then shows up in your list, and every Afleet step of every Zap reuses it, so you only do this once per account.

First Zap

Your first Zap: pay out a reward when a submission succeeds

GoalA skincare brand rewards ambassadors who post a review. When Afleet marks a submission as successful in its review program, the reward goes out without anyone clicking.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

In Zapier, start a new Zap and pick Afleet as the app that starts it, with Successful Submission of an Ambassador as the event. Choose the Afleet connection you set up earlier.

  2. 02

    Set the trigger

Fill in the Program ID of the review program, then test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account, so you map the next steps on a real submission.

  3. 03

    Add the action

Click the plus icon, pick Afleet again and choose Distribute Reward. It asks for the Program ID of the review program and a field called Action; fill both in.

  4. 04

    Map the fields

Map what the trigger brought back into the action, using the real submission from the test. A field left empty here is the usual reason the step fails later.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back. When everything looks right, click Publish. One trigger and one action: this Zap fits the free plan.

Triggers

Afleet triggers on Zapier

6 events start a Zap when something happens in Afleet. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Triggers When There Is a New Reward.

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new reward is created inside the Afleet portal.”

Starts the Zap when a new reward shows up in your Afleet program, so the catalogue of what ambassadors can earn is mirrored somewhere else: a sheet, a newsletter tool, a team chat. Whoever never opens the portal still knows what is on offer.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
your marketing lead wants every new reward announced to the community without copying it by hand.
Watch out
the trigger asks for a Program ID, so one Zap only watches one program.
2

New Campaign

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new Campaign is created on afleet portal.”

Fires when someone creates a campaign in the Afleet portal. Use it to tell the people who never log into Afleet that a new campaign exists, or to open a matching card in your project tool.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a coffee roaster launches seasonal campaigns and wants the shop team pinged each time one goes live in Afleet.
Watch out
the Program Id is required and comes from the Afleet portal; a campaign in another program will never start this Zap.
3

Distribute Reward

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a reward is accepted or rejected”

This one reacts when a reward is accepted or rejected, which makes it the event to follow if you need a record of every decision. It is not the action of the same name, which hands the reward out.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
finance wants a line in a spreadsheet for every reward decision, so payouts can be checked at month end.
Watch out
accepted and rejected rewards both start the Zap; add a filter if only one kind matters, which makes the Zap multi-step.
4

Enroll Ambassador

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new ambassador is enrolled”

Every time a new ambassador is enrolled in a program, the Zap starts. It is the natural first step for welcoming people, adding them to a CRM, or giving a sales rep a heads-up that a customer just signed up to promote you.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a B2B software team wants each new ambassador added to its CRM so account managers can thank them.
Watch out
people enrolled before you publish the Zap are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.
5

Submission Rejected of an Ambassador

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a submission is rejected”

Watches for submissions that get turned down. Useful when a rejection should lead to a human follow-up, an explanation, a second chance, rather than silence that leaves the ambassador wondering what went wrong.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a community manager wants a task created in her to-do app for every rejected post, to reply personally.
Watch out
one Zap covers one Program ID, so a brand with several programs needs one Zap per program.
6

Successful Submission of an Ambassador

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers When an ambassador makes a successful submission”

The mirror image of the previous trigger: it starts the Zap when an ambassador's submission goes through. That is the moment most programs want to act on, to reward, to thank, to share the content.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
each validated submission should get its reward sent with Distribute Reward, as in the first Zap above.
Watch out
a large batch of approvals at once, after a cleanup in Afleet, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection.
Actions

Afleet actions on Zapier

Afleet gives you 7 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Ambassador Enrolled

Action

In Zapier“Action to enroll the ambassadors in a program”

Enrolls a person in a program straight from another app, typically a signup form or a CRM stage change, so nobody types new ambassadors into Afleet by hand.

When to use it
customers who tick a box on your checkout form join the program without anyone retyping them.
Watch out
seven fields are required, phone number and industry included; a form that does not ask for them will make every run fail.
2

Delete Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Action to delete a campaign”

Removes a campaign from Afleet when something elsewhere says it is over, for example a project closed in your planning tool. The only required field is the Program ID.

When to use it
cancelled events in your calendar should not leave live campaigns behind.
Watch out
testing this step deletes for real, so run the test on a throwaway campaign.
3

Create Custom Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Action to create a new custom campaign on afleet portal”

Builds a new custom campaign in your Afleet program from data coming out of an earlier step: a title, a link, start and end dates, the reward points and how completion is judged.

When to use it
your content calendar lives in another tool and each approved idea should become an Afleet campaign.
Watch out
all seven fields are required, including both dates.
4

Create UGC Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Action to create a UGC campaign on afleet portal”

Sets up a campaign built around content your ambassadors create themselves, with a Campaign Platform field on top of the usual title, dates, points and completion style.

When to use it
a fitness brand opens a new posting challenge each time a product launches in its shop.
Watch out
the platform is required, so the step that feeds it must always supply one.
5

Delete Reward

Action

In Zapier“Action to delete the reward”

Takes a reward out of a program, so ambassadors stop seeing a perk that no longer exists, such as a partner offer that ended.

When to use it
a product goes out of stock in your shop and the reward tied to it must disappear.
Watch out
only the Program ID is required, so check in a test which reward the step actually targets before you publish.
6

Distribute Reward

Action

In Zapier“Action to distribute the reward”

Settles a reward from inside a Zap, the step that closes the loop once a submission is confirmed. Only two fields are required: the Program ID and one called Action.

When to use it
paired with a successful submission, it pays out without a manager logging in.
Watch out
the field name says little about what it expects, so run the test once and read what came back before you publish.
7

Create Reward

Action

In Zapier“Reward will be automatically gets created”

Adds a reward to a program with its title, description, points and expiry date, so a new perk shows up for ambassadors without anyone opening the portal.

When to use it
a partnership signed in your CRM should turn into a reward ambassadors can claim.
Watch out
the Expiry Date is mandatory; a reward that should never expire still needs a date.
When it breaks

When an Afleet Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Afleet, so the known failure points are the general ones, plus the Program ID.

Most broken Afleet Zaps come down to four situations. None of them throws a scary error; the Zap simply does less than you expected. If you are stuck, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the usual checks.

  • The past is not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Ambassadors or rewards created before that stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.
  • The Zap that feeds itself

A Zap watching New Campaign that also runs Create Custom Campaign in the same program will start itself again and again, and burn tasks fast.
  • Bulk changes held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a cleanup in Afleet, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • No duplicates, by design

Zapier remembers what a polling trigger already returned, so the same reward or ambassador does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

Afleet and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Afleet Zapier integration free?
Yes, it works on the free plan, because Afleet is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that sends an enrollment from a signup form into Ambassador Enrolled fits. A Zap that adds a filter, a second action or a search becomes multi-step, and that requires a paid plan. No price is listed here on purpose, since the plan grid changes often.
02How many tasks does an Afleet Zap use?
One task per action that goes through, and nothing for the trigger. If New Campaign starts a Zap that posts to a team chat and then logs a row in a sheet, each run costs two tasks. Zapier checking Afleet for new campaigns costs nothing, however often it looks. An action that fails is not counted. The thing to watch is a loop: a Zap that writes into the same program its trigger watches can keep restarting and eat the monthly allowance.
03Do Afleet triggers work in real time?
No. All six Afleet triggers are polling triggers: Zapier goes and checks at a fixed interval, and that interval depends on your plan. It is every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional and every minute on Team and Enterprise. None of them is instant, and the type is set by the app itself, so no setting in the editor changes it. On a paid plan you can shorten the interval or run a check by hand from the editor.
04What does it take to connect Afleet to Zapier?
An Afleet account, and access to any program you do not own but want a Zap to touch. The connection itself is made once from the Apps page with + Add connection, then reused by every Afleet step. The practical requirement comes after: nearly every trigger and action asks for a Program ID, which you find in the Afleet portal. Note it before building, especially if your company runs separate programs for customers and partners.
05Why does Ambassador Enrolled keep failing?
Usually because a required field arrives empty. That action needs seven of them: Program ID, first name, last name, email, country, contact number and industry. A newsletter form that only collects an email will make every run fail, and a failed action costs no task but enrolls nobody. Either add the missing questions to the form or type a fixed value into the field in the editor, then test the step again with a real submission.
06What if the Afleet operation you need is not on Zapier?
Then it is not available through this integration today. Zapier offers 13 Afleet operations: 6 triggers and 7 actions, with no search step. There is no way to edit an existing campaign or to look up an ambassador already in Afleet, for example. The workaround is to rethink the flow around what exists, such as deleting and recreating, or to check whether another automation tool exposes more of Afleet before committing to one.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Afleet?
It depends on what you weigh most. On Zapier, Afleet ships with 13 ready operations and runs on the free plan, which suits a marketer who wants a two-step Zap live the same day. If you need loops, branching or a search Afleet does not offer here, compare how each tool handles the app and what its plans charge per run. Judge on the operations you actually need, the volume of ambassadors you expect and who will maintain the flow.
