Agenty Zapier integrationAutomate Agenty with Zapier.
The Agenty Zapier integration gives you 3 actions and no trigger. Hand Agenty a web address from another app, and it returns the page's links, a screenshot, or its text as Markdown. Works on the free plan, as long as the Zap stays at two steps.

What Agenty does inside a Zap
Agenty reads web pages for you. On Zapier it works as a pure worker: a step in the middle of an automation that receives a web address and reads the page behind it. Every one of its three operations asks for exactly one input, the URL. Something else has to supply that URL.
Three useful results come out of it, one per operation.
A clean text copy for an AI model. A content marketer drops article links into a spreadsheet. Convert URL to LLM-ready Markdown turns each page into Markdown, plain text with light formatting that language models digest well, ready for a summary step further down.
A visual record of a page. A product manager tracks rival pricing pages. Capture a Website Screenshot keeps an image of each page the day the link came in, which is handy when the page changes later.
A map of where a page points. A partnerships lead checks that a reseller's site still links back. Extract Links From Website lists every link found at that address.
Now the limits. Agenty offers no trigger on Zapier, so nothing happening inside Agenty can start an automation. It also has no search step. The three actions read a single URL each time; nothing in the source says they crawl a whole site, log into a page or schedule a run. If that is the job, another tool or a custom setup is the better fit, and the Zapier alternatives roundup is a sensible place to compare.
Zapier words, in one minute
Seven terms come back on every Zapier page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- Your automation on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or fetches something on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that finished without an error; your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Agenty account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step in every Zap that calls Agenty.
What an Agenty Zap really costs
Agenty is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap size2 steps: 1 trigger, 1 action
- Premium appNo
- Failed actionNot counted
The trigger that starts the Zap never costs a task, however often Zapier checks for new items. Each Agenty action that succeeds counts as one task; one that fails counts for nothing. A Zap that grabs Markdown and a screenshot for the same link spends two tasks per link. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. A few apps and actions use more than one task each, so watch your task history after the first runs.
Connect Agenty to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box. You need an Agenty account before going further, since Zapier only links accounts that already exist.
- 02
Pick Agenty
Type Agenty in the search box, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Agenty side, where the last step happens. Nothing gets linked until you finish there.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log into Agenty in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now appears in your list, and every future Zap that uses an Agenty action can pick it without signing in again.
Your first Zap: research links to Markdown
GoalEvery new link a researcher pastes into an Airtable base becomes Markdown text, but only when the URL field is filled in.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap and choose the app that starts it, here an Airtable base where links get pasted. Connect the account and pick the table that holds the URLs.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent records of that account, so you map fields on a real link rather than an empty template.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, and set it on the URL field with a text rule that checks it exists. Rows without a link stop here. This makes the Zap multi-step, so a paid plan is needed.
- 04
Add the Agenty action
Now add a step and choose Agenty, then Convert URL to LLM-ready Markdown as the event. The action asks for one thing only: drop the record's URL field into its URL box.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the Agenty step once and read what came back. If the Markdown looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only links added after that moment get processed.
The 3 Agenty actions
Agenty gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Extract Links From Website
ActionIn Zapier“Extracts all the links from a website URL.”
Give this one an address and it collects every link it finds on that page. It suits checks on outbound links, partner mentions or pages that should point somewhere specific.
Convert URL to LLM-ready Markdown
ActionIn Zapier“Converts the website content into LLM-ready markdown format.”
Feed it a web address and it returns the page's content rewritten as Markdown, a lightweight text format that AI models and note tools read easily.
Capture a Website Screenshot
ActionIn Zapier“Captures a website screenshot.”
Point it at a URL and Agenty takes a picture of that page as it looks right now. You get a record of the page at that moment, not a live view.
When an Agenty Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to Agenty, so the known failures are Zapier's general ones.
None of these is specific to Agenty. They hit any Zap that relies on another app to feed it URLs, and the Zapier troubleshooting guide covers the fixes in more depth.
Old links are ignored
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Links already sitting in your sheet or base never reach Agenty; moving that backlog is a separate job.The Zap feeds itself
If the Agenty result is written back into the same table the trigger watches, each write can start the Zap again and burn through tasks fast.A bulk import gets held
Paste hundreds of links at once and the trigger may return a huge batch. Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running them all.The same link twice
On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so an unchanged row does not run twice. A duplicated row with the same URL is new, and it does.
