Centiment Zapier integrationAutomate Centiment with Zapier.
The Centiment Zapier integration does one thing, and does it fast: 1 trigger, 0 actions, 0 searches. Every new survey response can start an automation in another app, the moment it lands in Centiment, even on the free plan.

What the Centiment Zapier integration actually does
Connecting Centiment to Zapier means each new answer to one of your surveys can push data into the rest of your tools without anyone exporting a file. Centiment only talks in one direction here: it tells Zapier that a response came in. Everything that happens next is done by the other apps in your Zap.
Three results people build with it, all from the single trigger, New Response:
A live response log. Each answer becomes a new row in a shared spreadsheet, so the team reads results while the survey is still open instead of waiting for the final export.
An alert on the answers that matter. With a filter in the middle, only the responses that meet your condition (a low score, a specific choice) reach a chat channel or an inbox. The rest stay in Centiment.
A follow-up task per answer. Each response can open a task in your project tool, so someone owns the reply instead of hoping a colleague read the export.
Now the part the app page does not spell out. Zapier cannot do anything inside Centiment: no action creates a survey, edits a respondent or closes a campaign, and no search step looks up an existing response. If your plan was to drive Centiment from another tool, this integration will not get you there. It reads new responses, full stop (and only the ones that arrive after the Zap is on).
If you want to compare before you commit, the same app has a Centiment Make integration page, and our Make vs Zapier comparison lays out the criteria side by side.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it. Here, a new survey response.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app in this case.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, so nothing waits for a check.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Centiment account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs it.
What a Centiment Zap really costs
Short version: receiving responses is free, and you pay only for what your Zap does with them.
- TriggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo
The trigger never costs a task, however many responses arrive. Each action that succeeds counts once, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times as much as a Zap with one. Centiment is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and you have a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
Connect Centiment to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need a Centiment account first, with access to the surveys you want the Zap to watch.
- 02
Pick Centiment
Type Centiment in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens on the Centiment side, where the sign-in happens.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Centiment in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and every future Centiment Zap reuses it without asking again.
Your first Zap: flag the responses worth reading
GoalEach Centiment response that meets your condition posts a message in a team channel.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and choose Centiment as the app that starts it, with New Response as the event. Select your Centiment connection.
- 02
Point it at a survey
Pick the Organization, then the Workspace, then the Survey. The lists fill in from your account, one after the other, based on what your login can see.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent responses, so you can map fields from a real answer rather than an empty one.
- 04
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add a Filter step. Choose the field, the rule and the value. Pick a number rule for a score, a text rule for a written answer.
- 05
Add the action and publish
Add the message step in your chat app, map the response fields into it, test once, then click Publish. The filter makes it a multi-step Zap, so a paid plan is needed.
The Centiment trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Centiment, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Response
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new response is received.”
Starts your Zap each time someone submits an answer to the survey you picked, and hands that response to the steps that follow. This is the only way Centiment feeds Zapier, so every Centiment Zap begins here.
When a Centiment Zap breaks
Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to Centiment.
So the failures you will meet are the general ones of any Zap, applied to survey data. Four of them are worth knowing before you publish.
Old responses never come through
A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Responses collected before you published stay in Centiment, and moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that keeps triggering itself
If a later step writes back into the very place the trigger watches, the Zap sets itself off again and again and burns through your task count fast.A big wave of responses held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, for instance after a bulk import, Zapier's flood protection can hold the run back. The filter that never lets anything pass
Filter rules are typed. A text rule on a numeric score, or a number rule on a written answer, will block every response without an error message.
