EZOfficeInventory Zapier integrationAutomate EZOfficeInventory with Zapier.
The EZOfficeInventory Zapier integration only writes: 0 triggers, 3 actions, 0 searches. Something in another app starts each run, and Zapier then quietly adds an asset, a stock item or a user to your EZOfficeInventory account.

What the EZOfficeInventory Zapier integration does for your equipment records
EZOfficeInventory tracks equipment: who has it, where it sits, when it needs care. Connected to Zapier, it receives records instead of waiting for someone to type them. An event elsewhere (a purchase logged, a hire confirmed) starts the run, and EZOfficeInventory gets the new entry without a second round of data entry.
Three outcomes come out of it, one per action. A laptop bought by finance turns into an asset card, through Create Fixed Asset. A delivery of toner or cables lands as a stock line with its starting count, through Create Inventory. A new hire gets an EZOfficeInventory login with the right role, through Create User.
Now the limits, because they shape every plan. Zapier cannot start anything from EZOfficeInventory: the app offers no trigger at all. A checkout, a returned item or a low stock count stays invisible to Zapier. No search either. So every Zap here begins in another tool, passes through whatever filter you add, and ends with a brand new record in EZOfficeInventory. Editing or deleting records is not on the list.
If you are weighing tools, the EZOfficeInventory Make integration page is the place to look on the Make side, and the Make vs Zapier comparison sits next to it. New to the editor? Start with the Zapier training.
Zapier words, in plain English
Seven terms come back on this page. Here is what each one means before you open the editor.
- Zap
- The automation you set up on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. EZOfficeInventory has none, so the trigger always comes from another app you already use.
- Action
- The step that does the work once the Zap is running. Here, it creates an asset, a stock item or a user in EZOfficeInventory.
- Task
- What Zapier counts for billing: one action that finishes successfully. Your plan allows a set number of them each month.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling means Zapier checks an app for new items on a timer. Instant means the app tells Zapier itself, the moment something happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the run continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap with more than one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What an EZOfficeInventory Zap really costs
EZOfficeInventory is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The bill depends on actions, nothing else.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- BilledEach successful action
- Not billedTrigger, checks, failed actions
- Premium appNo
The trigger is free. So are the checks Zapier runs to find new data, however often they happen. Each record EZOfficeInventory accepts counts as one task. A failed one? Nothing. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each of those Zaps is capped at two steps. Add a filter or a second action and you need a paid plan. One more point: since EZOfficeInventory has no trigger, the timing grid below applies to the app that starts your Zap, when that app is checked by polling.
Connect EZOfficeInventory to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A connection is your EZOfficeInventory account, linked once and then reused by every Zap that needs it.
- 02
Find the app
Type EZOfficeInventory in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the EZOfficeInventory sign-in screen.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in with an account that can create assets, stock and users, then grant Zapier access. Records you do not own need read or write rights on your side, or the action will be refused.
Your first Zap: purchase sheet to asset register
GoalEach laptop logged in the purchase sheet becomes an asset in EZOfficeInventory, and other purchases are skipped.
- 01
Pick the starting event
Create a Zap and choose Google Sheets with New Spreadsheet Row as the trigger. Select the purchase sheet finance already fills in, so nobody changes how they work.
- 02
Test with a real row
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows, so you pick a real purchase and see exactly which columns arrive, including the one that names the item type.
- 03
Keep only laptops
Add a Filter from the plus icon. Pick the item type column you spotted in the test, a text rule, and the word your team uses for laptops. This step makes the Zap multi-step, so a paid plan.
- 04
Create the asset
Add EZOfficeInventory with Create Fixed Asset. Map the item name column to Asset Name, then choose the Group the laptops belong to. Both fields are required.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action and check the new asset in EZOfficeInventory. If it looks right, click Publish. From then on, every new laptop row is handled without anyone retyping it.
The 3 EZOfficeInventory actions
EZOfficeInventory gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Fixed Asset
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a FIxed Asset”
Adds one tracked item, such as a laptop, a projector or a van, to the asset register. You give it a name and a group, both required, and the asset is created in your account.
Create Inventory
ActionIn Zapier“Creates an Inventory”
Opens a new stock line for consumables you count rather than track one by one, with a name, a group and how many units you start with.
Create User
ActionIn Zapier“Creates an authenticated User”
Gives a person their own EZOfficeInventory account, built from an email address, a last name and the role they will hold in the app.
When an EZOfficeInventory Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to this app, so there are no app-specific error messages or rate limits on record.
What can go wrong comes from how Zapier itself works. These four cases cover the surprises people hit most often with a Zap that only writes.
Old records are not imported
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Laptops bought last quarter stay out of EZOfficeInventory; moving that backlog is a separate job.A bulk import gets held back
Paste hundreds of rows into the trigger sheet at once and Zapier's flood protection may stop the batch instead of creating every asset in one go.The same row will not run twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen. The same row does not start the Zap twice, so one purchase does not become two assets.A rejected record costs nothing
If a required field arrives empty, the action fails and no task is counted. The record is missing, though, so check the Zap history after the first days.
