Overview

What GetProspect on Zapier does for you

The GetProspect Zapier integration connects your prospect lists to the rest of your sales tools. Saving a person or a company in GetProspect can start an automation, and Zapier can enrich records, find a work email, verify an address and organise people and companies into lists, all without opening GetProspect.

Three results matter most for an outbound team. Clean addresses before a campaign: Verify Email Address checks whether an email is deliverable before anyone writes to it. Richer records: Enrich Person returns a profile, a work email and, if you ask, a mobile phone, while Enrich Company returns firmographics from a domain, a LinkedIn URL or a name. Tidy lists: Save Person to List and Save Company to List file records where your team expects them.

Two costs run side by side. Zapier counts tasks; GetProspect counts its own credits. Revealing a work email costs 1 email credit when one is found, a mobile phone 1 phone credit, a verification 1 verification credit. Find Person is the exception: it reveals and charges nothing.

What Zapier does not do here: react instantly, since both triggers are polling. And among the 11 operations, none deletes a record or takes someone out of a list. If you use Make too, see the GetProspect Make integration page.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary for sales teams

Eight terms show up on every Zapier screen. Each one is explained here, once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more steps that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap, such as a person saved in GetProspect. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that enriches, verifies or saves a record for you.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action the Zap completes successfully. It is separate from GetProspect's own credits.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, keeping only items it has not seen before. Both GetProspect triggers work this way.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the data meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists, such as a list by name, so later steps can use it.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter, a search or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a GetProspect Zap really costs

GetProspect is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan. You pay Zapier in tasks and GetProspect in credits, two separate counters.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Trigger checksFree of charge
  • GetProspect triggers2 polling, 0 instant
  • Find PersonNo GetProspect credit

On the Zapier side, the trigger never costs a task, and neither do the checks for new saved records. Each action that succeeds counts once; a failed one does not count. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month, checks every 15 minutes and builds two-step Zaps only. Enriching then verifying a person is two actions, so it needs a paid plan. On the GetProspect side, email reveals, phone lookups and verifications each take one credit, and Find Person takes none.

Connect

Connect your GetProspect account

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your GetProspect account linked once to Zapier, then reused by every step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Choose GetProspect

Search for GetProspect in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need a GetProspect account, with access to the lists your Zap will read or fill.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to GetProspect in the tab that opens and allow Zapier to access the account. This one connection then serves every GetProspect step in all your Zaps.

First Zap

Your first Zap: enrich and verify conference leads

GoalEvery person saved into your Conference list is enriched with a work email, then that email is verified before outreach.

  1. 01

    Build: pick New Saved Person

Create a Zap, choose GetProspect and New Saved Person, then limit it to your Conference list. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent saves.

  2. 02

    Add Enrich Person

Add Enrich Person and map the LinkedIn URL, email or name and company, whichever the trigger test shows. Switch on Reveal Work Email; it spends 1 email credit only when an email is found.

  3. 03

    Skip the phone unless needed

Leave Find Mobile Phone off unless your team calls these leads. Each lookup takes 1 phone credit, on top of the Zapier task for the step.

  4. 04

    Add Verify Email Address

Add Verify Email Address and map the email returned by Enrich Person. It takes 1 verification credit and tells you whether the address is deliverable.

  5. 05

    Test, then Publish

Test each step on a real lead, then click Publish. With two actions this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid Zapier plan.

Triggers

The 2 GetProspect triggers

2 events start a Zap when something happens in GetProspect. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Saved Company

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a company is saved in GetProspect, optionally only into a chosen list.”

Starts the Zap when a company is saved in GetProspect. You can leave it open to every company or limit it to one list, which is the cleaner choice once your account holds several campaigns.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
push each target account into your CRM as soon as a researcher saves it.
Watch out
if the same Zap saves companies back into the list it watches, it sets itself off. Watch one list and write to another.
2

New Saved Person

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a person is saved in GetProspect, optionally only into a chosen list.”

Fires each time a person is saved in GetProspect, either anywhere in the account or only into the list you pick. Limiting it to a list lets each campaign have its own automation.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
enrich and verify every contact saved into a campaign list before it reaches your sequencer.
Watch out
people saved before the Zap was published are never picked up, so handle the existing list separately.
Actions

The 7 GetProspect actions

GetProspect gives you 7 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create List

Action

In Zapier“Creates a people or company list in GetProspect.”

Creates a new list in GetProspect, either for people or for companies.

When to use it
a new campaign in your CRM gets its own GetProspect list automatically.
Watch out
Name and Type are both required. If the list may already exist, use Find List in find-or-create mode instead to avoid twins.
2

Enrich Company

Action

In Zapier“Finds a company in GetProspect by domain, LinkedIn URL or name and returns its firmographics.”

Looks up a company by domain, LinkedIn URL or name and returns its firmographics for the next steps.

When to use it
add company details to every new account your inbound form brings in.
Watch out
no field is marked as required, so map at least one of the three inputs, whichever your trigger actually carries.
3

Enrich Person

Action

In Zapier“Finds a person in GetProspect by LinkedIn URL, email, or name + company, and returns their profile, work email and (optionally) mobile phone.”

Finds a person by LinkedIn URL, by email, or by name plus company, and returns their profile, a work email and, if asked, a mobile phone.

When to use it
complete a lead captured with only a name and a company.
Watch out
Reveal Work Email costs 1 email credit, only when one is found; Find Mobile Phone costs 1 phone credit.
4

Find Email

Action

In Zapier“Finds a person's work email from their name and company domain (1 email credit when found).”

Finds a person's work email from their name and their company domain.

When to use it
you have a list of decision makers and domains, but no addresses yet.
Watch out
it takes 1 email credit when an email is found. Pair it with Verify Email Address before sending anything.
5

Save Company to List

Action

In Zapier“Saves a company into one or more GetProspect lists.”

Places a company into one or more GetProspect lists.

When to use it
group target accounts by segment as soon as they are qualified in your CRM.
Watch out
Lists is required. Saving into the list a New Saved Company Zap watches fires that Zap again.
6

Save Person to List

Action

In Zapier“Saves a person into one or more GetProspect lists (reveals their stored email, 1 credit when new).”

Saves a person into one or more GetProspect lists and reveals the email stored for them.

When to use it
file every demo request from your website into the right outreach list.
Watch out
Lists is required, and the save costs 1 credit when the person is new. Saving into a list another Zap watches starts that Zap.
7

Verify Email Address

Action

In Zapier“Checks whether an email address is deliverable (1 verification credit).”

Checks whether an email address is deliverable and hands the answer to the following steps.

When to use it
clean addresses coming from a purchased file or an old CRM before a campaign.
Watch out
Email Address to Verify is required, and each check uses 1 verification credit.
Searches

The 2 GetProspect searches

2 search steps look for data that already exists in GetProspect, so a later step can use it.

A search step finds a list or a person that already exists in GetProspect so the next steps can use it. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not a single clean match.

1

Find List

SearchFind or create

In Zapier“Finds a GetProspect list by its exact name.”

Finds a GetProspect list by its exact name, so a later save step knows where to file a record.

When to use it
route leads into a list named after the campaign field of your CRM.
Watch out
the name must match exactly. Find or Create List is this search with the create box ticked: it creates the list when none matches.
2

Find Person

Search

In Zapier“Looks a person up in GetProspect by LinkedIn URL. Free: nothing is revealed or charged.”

Looks a person up in GetProspect by their LinkedIn URL, which is the only required field.

When to use it
check whether a LinkedIn lead is already known before spending credits on enrichment.
Watch out
it is free on the GetProspect side: nothing is revealed and no credit is charged, so do not expect an email from it.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there. Switched on, the Zap carries on without the item.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking it turns the search into a find-or-create: it then asks for what is needed to create the missing item.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Keep the first match (the default), stop the Zap, or pass every match on to the following steps at once.
When it breaks

When a GetProspect Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to GetProspect, so these cases come from Zapier's general limits and from GetProspect's own required fields and credit rules.

Six cases to know before you publish. To investigate a failed run, start from the Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Lists must be there

The save actions require Lists, and Find List wants the exact name. If the list may be missing or renamed, Find or Create List creates it when nothing matches.
  • A Zap that restarts itself

Saving people or companies into the list your trigger watches starts the Zap again and again, using tasks and credits.
  • Credits add up

Email reveals, phone lookups, verifications and new saves each take one GetProspect credit, on top of the Zapier task.
  • The delay is the plan

Both triggers are polling: up to 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional and 1 on Team and Enterprise.
  • No history catch-up

A Zap only reacts to saves made after it is switched on. People and companies already in your lists are never sent.
  • Bulk saves held back

Saving a huge batch at once, after an import, can trip Zapier's flood protection and hold the runs back.

FAQ

GetProspect Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the GetProspect Zapier integration free?
On the Zapier side, yes: GetProspect is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only, one trigger and one action. Adding a filter, a search such as Find List or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Separately, some GetProspect steps spend GetProspect credits, such as email reveals and verifications; Find Person is the one that charges nothing.
02How many tasks does a GetProspect Zap use?
One Zapier task per action that succeeds, and none for the trigger or for Zapier's checks. A Zap that verifies each saved person uses one task per person; one that enriches then verifies uses two. A failed action is not counted. GetProspect credits are a second counter: 1 email credit for a revealed email, 1 phone credit for a mobile lookup, 1 verification credit per check, and 1 credit when Save Person to List saves someone new.
03Is GetProspect real time with Zapier?
No. Both GetProspect triggers, New Saved Company and New Saved Person, are polling triggers: Zapier asks GetProspect for recent saves at a fixed interval and keeps only the new ones. The interval depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also change the interval or run a check by hand from the editor.
04What does it take to connect GetProspect to Zapier?
A GetProspect account, plus access to the lists your Zap will read or fill. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for GetProspect, click Add connection, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is reused by every GetProspect step. Create your lists before building, since the save actions require them, or use Find or Create List inside the Zap. If a colleague owns some lists, check your account can reach them.
05Which GetProspect steps spend credits?
Four kinds of step use GetProspect credits. Enrich Person spends 1 email credit when Reveal Work Email finds an email, and 1 phone credit with Find Mobile Phone. Find Email spends 1 email credit when it finds an address. Verify Email Address spends 1 verification credit per check. Save Person to List spends 1 credit when the person is new. Find Person charges nothing, which makes it a good first check before enrichment.
06What if the GetProspect operation you need is not there?
Check the 11 operations on this page first: two triggers, seven actions and two searches cover saving, enriching, finding and verifying. None of them deletes a record or takes someone out of a list, and neither trigger is instant. If a workflow depends on one of those, Zapier's GetProspect app does not cover it today: look at what your CRM or sequencer can do on its side, or handle that part outside this integration.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for GetProspect?
Decide on criteria rather than on a ranking. Speed: on Zapier both GetProspect triggers are polling, so the delay follows your plan. Volume: each successful action is a Zapier task, so a Zap that enriches then verifies costs two tasks per lead. Credits: on Zapier, reveals, phone lookups and verifications also spend GetProspect credits. Coverage: check that each tool offers the exact GetProspect operations you need, then price the same flow on each tool's own pages.
