LeadPass Zapier integrationAutomate LeadPass with Zapier.
The LeadPass Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. One door out: every time someone fills in a LeadPass form, Zapier can carry that lead to another tool, on the free plan, without waiting for a timer.

What the LeadPass Zapier integration actually does
LeadPass collects emails through lead forms and hands out downloads in return. Connected to Zapier, it does one thing: the moment a new lead submits a form, it tells Zapier, and Zapier runs the steps you placed after it. LeadPass is where the lead starts. The rest of the work happens in other apps.
Three results you can build from that single trigger, New Lead:
A row per lead. Each form submission lands as a new line in your spreadsheet, so the list you export by hand today keeps itself up to date.
A contact in your list. The email collected by the form goes straight into the contact list of the tool where you keep your subscribers, with no export and no copy-paste.
A sorted flow. With a filter after the trigger, only the leads that match a field value you choose go through; the others stop there. That version needs a paid plan, more on that below.
Now the part the Zapier app page does not spell out. There is no action, so a Zap cannot create, edit or delete anything inside LeadPass. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an existing lead. And the trigger only sees leads that arrive after the Zap is switched on (your existing list stays where it is). If you are still choosing a tool, see our Make vs Zapier comparison and our Zapier review.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words you will meet in the editor. Each one is used below exactly as defined here.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Here, a new LeadPass lead.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Instant vs polling trigger
- An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer instead.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your LeadPass account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step and every Zap that uses LeadPass.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a LeadPass Zap costs you
LeadPass is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The trigger itself never costs a task: only what happens after it does.
- TriggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
Each action that goes through counts as one task, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times more than a Zap with one. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap needs a paid plan. The polling grid below does not touch New Lead, because it is instant: it fires right away on every plan.
Connect LeadPass to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. Type LeadPass in the search box of the dialog that opens, then pick it from the list.
- 02
Sign in to LeadPass
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on LeadPass: sign in with the account that owns the forms you want to watch. You need an account on the app for this step.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection then appears on your Apps page, and every Zap that starts with LeadPass reuses it, so you only do this once.
Your first LeadPass Zap
GoalEvery new LeadPass lead becomes a row in your spreadsheet.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose LeadPass as the app that starts it, then New Lead as the event. Select the connection you made above.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier pulls the three most recent leads of the account so you can pick a real one and map its fields in the next steps.
- 03
Add a filter if you need one
Optional. From the plus icon, add a Filter and set the field to look at, the rule and the value. This step makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the action
Choose your spreadsheet app and the step that adds a row, then map each column to a field of the sample lead. Test that step and read what came back.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From now on, each lead submitted after this moment goes through. Earlier leads are not sent.
The LeadPass trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in LeadPass, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead submits a form.”
Starts your Zap each time someone submits one of your LeadPass forms, and passes that lead to the steps that follow. It is the only way LeadPass talks to Zapier, so every Zap you build with this app begins here.
When a LeadPass Zap breaks
Zapier lists no help article and no app-specific limit for LeadPass. What goes wrong comes from the way Zapier itself works.
Four situations account for most surprises with a one-trigger app like this one. None of them shows an error message: the Zap simply does less than you thought. If a Zap still misbehaves, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Your old leads never arrive
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. The leads already in LeadPass stay there; moving them is a separate job.A sudden batch gets held back
When a trigger returns a huge batch at once, after a bulk import for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item. The filter is never true
Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Picking the wrong type is why a filter never lets anything pass. The Zap outgrows the free plan
On the free plan a Zap stops at one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action turns it into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
