Lnk.Bio Zapier integrationAutomate Lnk.Bio with Zapier.

The Lnk.Bio Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 2 actions and 0 searches. It is a one-way street: another app starts the automation, and Zapier publishes a new link on your public Lnk.Bio profile or removes an old one, without you opening the editor.

Overview

What the Lnk.Bio Zapier integration does for you

Lnk.Bio hosts a single public profile page that gathers your links as buttons, one under the other. The Zapier integration lets your other apps write to that page: when something happens elsewhere, Zapier adds a link at the top of your profile, published straight away, or deletes a link you no longer want visible.

Three outcomes cover most uses. First, your newest item always on top: each new item in another tool runs Create Link, which puts a button with its title and URL at the top of your profile. Second, a profile driven by a spreadsheet: a row added to a planning sheet becomes a published link, so the person who plans the content never logs in to Lnk.Bio. Third, expired links removed: when a row is marked as finished, Delete a Link takes the matching link off your page, as long as the row holds its Link ID.

Now what Zapier does not do here. Lnk.Bio has no trigger, so nothing on your profile, a click or a new visitor, can start a Zap. There is no search either, which means Zapier cannot look up a link by its title: Delete a Link only works if another step hands it the ID. You cannot edit an existing link or change the order; a new link always lands on top of the others.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back all over this page. Here they are once, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Lnk.Bio has none, so the trigger always comes from another app.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started. Here, that means publishing a link on your profile or deleting one.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its app at once. It depends on the app that starts your Zap.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What it really costs

Lnk.Bio is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only the Lnk.Bio actions produce them here.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Each published or deleted linkOne task
  • Failed actionNot counted

The trigger of the other app never costs a task. Each link that Create Link publishes, and each one Delete a Link removes, counts as one task; a failed action is not billed. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps, one trigger and one action, which is enough for a simple publish-on-new-item Zap. A filter or a second action makes it multi-step and needs a paid plan. Lnk.Bio has no trigger of its own, so the grid below only applies to the app that starts your Zap, and only if its trigger polls; an instant trigger ignores it.

Connect

Connect Lnk.Bio to Zapier

  1. 01

Open your apps and add a connection

In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a Lnk.Bio account first, with write access to the profile the Zap will publish on.

  2. 02

    Pick Lnk.Bio

Type the app's name in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Lnk.Bio side, ready for your login.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to your Lnk.Bio account in that tab and grant Zapier access. The connection then shows in your list, and every Zap reuses it without asking again.

First Zap

Your first Zap: publish new items on your Lnk.Bio, with a filter

GoalWhen a new item appears in your other app, let a filter keep only the items that meet your condition, then add a link to the top of your Lnk.Bio profile.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap and choose your other app as the one that starts it, with its new-item event. Lnk.Bio cannot start a Zap, so the trigger always comes from elsewhere.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real item, title and address included.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then fill in the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value to compare with. Use a text rule on text.

  4. 04

    Add Create Link

Add Lnk.Bio with Create Link, map the item title into Title and its address into Lnk. With the filter, the Zap has three steps and needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step once: the link really goes live on your profile, so delete it after the test if needed. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Actions

Lnk.Bio actions

Lnk.Bio gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

When it breaks

When it breaks

Zapier links no help article to Lnk.Bio and lists no rate limit of its own for it. The problems below are the ones every Zap can meet, seen from your profile's side.

Since Lnk.Bio only receives, most surprises come from the app that starts the Zap. If a Zap keeps misbehaving, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Older content is not published

A Zap reacts only to what happens after you publish it. Items or rows that existed before stay off your profile; adding them is a separate job.
  • A loop through another app

Lnk.Bio cannot set off a Zap, but a Zap that writes back into the place its own trigger watches can restart itself and burn tasks fast.
  • A big batch held back

After a bulk import into the sheet that starts your Zap, the trigger can return a huge batch at once, and Zapier's flood protection may hold it back.
  • No duplicate links

When the starting app's trigger polls, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same item does not publish the same link twice.

FAQ

Lnk.Bio Zapier integration: questions

01Is the Lnk.Bio Zapier integration free?
Yes, on the Zapier side: Lnk.Bio is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You get 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps, one trigger and one action. A Zap that runs Create Link for every new item fits within that. Adding a filter to publish only some items makes it multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Whatever plan your Lnk.Bio account is on is a separate matter.
02How many tasks does a Lnk.Bio Zap use?
One task per link published or deleted, as long as the action succeeds. The trigger from your other app costs nothing, and neither does Zapier checking that app for new items. A Zap that publishes a link for each new item uses one task per item. A failed Create Link is not counted. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so glance at your task count during the first runs.
03Is Lnk.Bio real time with Zapier?
Lnk.Bio itself has no trigger, so the timing depends entirely on the app that starts your Zap. If that app's trigger is instant, the link is published as soon as the event happens, whatever your plan. If it polls, Zapier checks at the interval of your plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional, 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. Once the Zap reaches it, Create Link publishes the link on your profile at once.
04What does it take to connect a Lnk.Bio account?
A Lnk.Bio account with access to the profile you want the Zap to publish on. From the Apps page in Zapier, click + Add connection, pick Lnk.Bio, then sign in and grant access in the tab that opens. The connection is then reused by every Zap. Before building, check that your starting app provides both a title and a full destination address, because Create Link requires the two and will not publish a button without them.
05Why can a Lnk.Bio Zap not delete the right link?
Because Delete a Link works only from the Link ID, the unique identifier of the link, and Lnk.Bio offers no search in Zapier to find it by title or address. If the ID is not stored anywhere your Zap can read, the step has nothing to work with. Keep the ID next to the content it belongs to, in the same sheet row for instance, and map it from there when the time comes to delete.
06What if the Lnk.Bio operation you need is missing?
There are only two operations: Create Link and Delete a Link. Nothing edits a link, reorders your profile, reads clicks or starts a Zap from Lnk.Bio. For those, the Lnk.Bio editor remains the place to act by hand, and Delete a Link followed by Create Link is the closest thing to an edit. A Zapier specialist can quickly tell you whether a workaround exists by combining these two actions with your other apps.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lnk.Bio?
It depends on your criteria, not on a ranking. Zapier gives you the two Lnk.Bio actions ready to use in a guided editor, and a simple publish Zap fits on the free plan. Before choosing, check which Lnk.Bio operations each tool actually offers, since editing a link is missing here. Then compare how each tool bills runs, how many apps you need to connect around Lnk.Bio, and who will maintain the workflow.
