M2p Zapier integrationAutomate M2p with Zapier.

The M2p Zapier integration has 1 trigger, 1 action and no search. The trigger fires when a trigger node in your M2p flow builder runs, and the action sends a message to a WhatsApp number. Two operations, one in each direction.

Overview

What the M2p Zapier integration is for

It connects the chat flows you design in M2p to the rest of your tools, both ways. M2p is a chat tool for talking with customers on messaging apps. On Zapier it offers one trigger, Trigger Node, that hands a flow event to other apps, and one action, Send Message, that sends text to a WhatsApp number from any other app.

Conversations that leave a trace. Place a trigger node at the point of a flow where a customer has shared what you need, and Trigger Node passes it to a spreadsheet or another tool. Nobody copies chat answers by hand.

Messages sent from elsewhere. A new form entry, a booking or a status change in another app can call Send Message, so the person gets a WhatsApp message without anyone opening M2p.

Hand-offs between flows and tools. Because the trigger is instant, a node reached in a flow starts the Zap right away. That makes it a clean point to pass the conversation to whatever comes next.

What the integration does not do: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up a contact or a past conversation in M2p. There is no action to update, tag or delete anything, and Send Message is the only way to write into M2p. Which events reach Zapier depends entirely on where you put trigger nodes in your flows. To weigh this against other platforms, read the n8n vs Zapier comparison before you settle on one.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words keep coming back on this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. For M2p, it is Trigger Node.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, such as Send Message.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a scheduled check.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only the unseen ones.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Cost

What an M2p Zap really costs

M2p is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only for actions that succeed.

  • Trigger Nodeinstant, never counted
  • Each message sent1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appno, works on the free plan

The trigger never costs a task: however often a trigger node runs, nothing is billed until an action completes. Each successful action counts as one task, so each Send Message that goes through is one. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below sets how often Zapier checks a polling trigger on each plan; it does not apply to M2p's Trigger Node, which is instant.

Connect

Connect M2p to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. In the dialog, type M2p in the search box and pick it from the list of results.

  2. 02

    Sign in to M2p

Click Add connection. A tab opens on M2p: sign in with the account that owns the flows and the messaging setup you want the Zap to use. You need that M2p account before you start.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Approve the access Zapier asks for. The connection now shows on the Apps page and is reused by every Zap step that uses M2p. Anything you do not own needs read or write access.

First Zap

Your first Zap: a team alert when a flow reaches a node

GoalWhen a conversation reaches the trigger node of your M2p flow, your team chat gets a message, but only if it passes your filter.

  1. 01

    Place the node in M2p

In your M2p flow builder, put a trigger node right after the point where a customer asks for a person. Without that node, nothing ever reaches Zapier.

  2. 02

    Pick and test the trigger

Create a Zap, choose M2p and Trigger Node, then run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent runs through the node. If the list is empty, run the flow once.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

From the plus icon, add Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text, so match the rule to the field.

  4. 04

    Add the chat message

Add your team chat with its send-message action and map the details the node brought in. Test the step and check that the message reads well in the channel.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. The filter makes it a multi-step Zap, so a paid plan is needed; on the free plan, keep only the trigger and the action.

Triggers

M2p triggers

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in M2p, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Trigger Node

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a trigger node in flow builder is invoked.”

Starts a Zap whenever a conversation in your M2p flow builder reaches a trigger node you placed there. Whatever the flow has gathered up to that point becomes available to the actions that follow, so you choose in M2p which moment goes out.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a flow has just collected a customer's details and they should land in a spreadsheet or another tool without anyone copying them.
Watch out
the Zap only sees flows that actually contain a trigger node. If nothing fires, check that the node is in the flow and that the flow has been run since the Zap was switched on.
Actions

M2p actions

M2p gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Send Message

Action

In Zapier“Send a Message to anyone”

Sends a text to any WhatsApp number through your M2p account, using what earlier steps brought in. Three fields are required: the account to send from, the recipient number with its country code, and the message itself.

When to use it
an event in another app, such as a new booking, should reach the person on WhatsApp without anyone typing it.
Watch out
a number without its country code will not match the expected format.
When it breaks

When an M2p Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to M2p and publishes no rate limit for it. What can go wrong comes from how every Zap behaves.

Four cases are worth planning for before you publish. If a Zap already misbehaves, the Zapier troubleshooting guide helps you find the cause.

  • Past conversations are not picked up

A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Flows that reached a trigger node before that are ignored; sending them on is a separate job.
  • The Zap keeps starting itself

A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches restarts itself and eats tasks fast. When you pair Trigger Node with Send Message, check the message cannot lead back into that node.
  • A sudden burst is held back

When a trigger sends a huge batch at once, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
  • The number has the wrong format

Send Message expects a WhatsApp number with its country code. Map a field that always carries it, or the step fails and no message goes out.

FAQ

M2p Zapier integration: FAQ

01Is the M2p Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as the Zap has two steps. M2p is not a premium app, so the free plan can use it, with 100 tasks a month and Zaps made of one trigger and one action. Trigger Node followed by a message to your team chat fits that shape. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. On the free plan, the simplest useful Zap is one trigger and one message.
02How many Zapier tasks does an M2p Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds, and nothing for the trigger. A Zap that alerts your team chat each time a flow reaches the node uses one task per alert. If the same Zap also writes a row somewhere, each run uses two. A message that fails to send is not counted. Trigger Node can run as often as your flows reach it without costing a single task on its own. Only completed work is billed.
03Is M2p on Zapier real time?
Yes for its trigger. Trigger Node is instant: M2p tells Zapier the moment a flow reaches the node, and the Zap starts straight away whatever your plan. The polling grid, 15 minutes on Free down to one minute on Team and Enterprise, does not apply to it. In the editor, a Zap built on it shows a lightning bolt. When M2p is only the action, speed depends on the trigger app you chose.
04What does it take to connect M2p to Zapier?
An M2p account, plus read or write access to anything you do not own and want the Zap to touch. In Zapier you open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for M2p, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. For Send Message, you also need a messaging account on the M2p side, because the action asks you to pick one in its required Account field. Set that up first.
05Why is Trigger Node not firing?
Usually because no conversation has reached a trigger node since the Zap was switched on. The trigger only reacts to flows that contain the node, and only to runs that happen after publishing. Check that the node sits in the flow you expect, run that flow once yourself, then look at the Zap history. Past conversations never come back on their own, since a Zap does not pick up anything that happened before it started.
06What if the M2p operation needed is not on Zapier?
Then this integration cannot do it. The visible menu is one trigger, Trigger Node, and one action, Send Message, with no search. Looking up a contact, tagging a conversation or reading past messages are not in the editor. The options are to build that logic inside your M2p flows and expose the result through a trigger node, to keep the step manual, or to check another automation platform. Looking up a contact first, for instance, would need a search step, and M2p offers none on Zapier.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for M2p?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, M2p gives an instant trigger and a send action that both work on the free plan in two-step Zaps, which covers simple notify-and-log flows. If the flow needs several steps, the paid-plan requirement and the per-action task count matter more. Check which M2p operations each platform exposes, how each one bills, and who on your side will maintain the flow. Keep in mind that a filter on its own already makes the Zap multi-step.
