Macorva Zapier integrationAutomate Macorva with Zapier.
The Macorva Zapier integration has 2 actions, no trigger and no search. Both send a Macorva survey to someone: one by email, one by text message. Since Macorva cannot start a Zap, another app always comes first and decides who gets asked.

What the Macorva Zapier integration is for
It lets an event in another app send a Macorva survey automatically. Macorva runs surveys and helps you make sense of the answers, whether they come from customers, employees or product users. On Zapier, it does one job in two flavors: send an existing survey by email, or send it by SMS.
A survey for every new row. A spreadsheet that lists the people to ask can feed Send Survey via Email one row at a time. The list stays the single place where you decide who gets surveyed.
Text messages for people who skip email. When a phone number is what you have, Send Survey via SMS sends the same survey by text message instead, straight to the phone.
The right survey every time. Each action asks for the Survey ID, so you say exactly which Macorva survey goes out, and nobody picks the wrong one by hand.
What the integration does not do: Macorva has no trigger, so a completed survey or a new answer cannot start a Zap. Nothing flows back out of Macorva through Zapier. There is no search, no update and no way to create or edit a survey from the editor; the survey has to exist in Macorva first. If you are comparing platforms, read the Make vs Zapier comparison before you settle on one platform.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Macorva has none, so the trigger always comes from another app you use.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something. Both Macorva operations are actions.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- Zapier checks a polling trigger at a fixed interval. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Macorva account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that sends a survey.
What a Macorva Zap really costs
Macorva is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Each survey sent is one task.
- Trigger (other app)free, never counted
- Each survey sent1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appno, works on the free plan
The trigger in the other app costs nothing. Each Send Survey via Email or Send Survey via SMS that succeeds counts as one task, and a send that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Sending both an email and an SMS in the same Zap makes it multi-step, and so does a filter; that needs a paid plan. Since Macorva has no trigger, the grid below applies to the trigger you pick in the other app, if that one is a polling trigger.
Connect Macorva to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. In the dialog that opens, type Macorva in the search box and select it from the results.
- 02
Sign in to Macorva
Click Add connection. A tab opens on Macorva: sign in with the account that holds the surveys you want to send. You need that Macorva account before any of this works.
- 03
Grant access
Approve the access Zapier asks for. The connection then shows on the Apps page and every Zap that sends a Macorva survey reuses it. Anything you do not own needs read or write access.
Your first Zap: a survey email for each new row
GoalEach new row in your spreadsheet sends a Macorva survey by email, but only for rows that pass your filter.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap and choose your spreadsheet with its new-row event. Macorva cannot start a Zap, so the trigger always comes from another app. Keep an email column in the sheet.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the connected sheet. Pick one with a real email address, so the rest of the mapping works on actual data.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add Filter and fill its three boxes: the column to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text, so match the rule to the field.
- 04
Add the survey action
Add Macorva with
Send Survey via Email. Paste the Macorva Survey ID, then map Customer's Email to the email column. Test the step on your own address first. - 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. The filter makes it multi-step, so a paid plan is needed; on the free plan, keep only the trigger and the action.
Macorva actions
Macorva gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Send Survey via Email
ActionIn Zapier“Send a Macorva survey to a customer via email.”
Emails one of your Macorva surveys to the address an earlier step provided. You give it the Survey ID and the person's email, and Macorva takes care of the sending.
Send Survey via SMS
ActionIn Zapier“Send a Macorva customer survey to someone via a text message.”
Sends a Macorva survey by text message to a mobile number taken from an earlier step. Like the email version, it needs the Survey ID, plus the person's mobile number.
When a Macorva Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Macorva and publishes no rate limit for it. The failures to plan for come from the way every Zap works.
Four cases are worth checking before you publish. If a Zap already misbehaves, the Zapier troubleshooting guide helps you find the cause.
The Survey ID is wrong or empty
Both actions need a Macorva Survey ID from Configure, then CX surveys. Without a valid one the step fails and nobody receives anything.Earlier contacts never get a survey
A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Rows already in your sheet are not picked up; surveying them is a separate job.A bulk import is held back
When the trigger app suddenly sends a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back. The contact field arrives empty
If the email or mobile number is missing on a record, the send fails. Failed sends are not billed, but that person never gets the survey.
