Overview

What the Mailerrrize Zapier integration is for

Mailerrrize is an email tool built around automation and engagement. On Zapier, it can do one thing: start a Zap, the automation you build there, which runs a set of steps every time an event happens. Here the event is a new lead in Mailerrrize, and the steps happen in your other apps.

A live list of leads in a sheet. Lead passes each new lead to Zapier, and a spreadsheet step adds it as a row, so the people who never open Mailerrrize still see who came in.

Only the leads that matter. Put a filter after the trigger and the Zap carries on only for leads that meet your condition; the others are dropped before any action runs, which also saves tasks.

One source for several tools. The same trigger can feed a task list, a team chat or a contact database, one Zap per destination, each with its own condition.

What Zapier does not do here: Mailerrrize has no action and no search on Zapier, so no Zap can add, change or look up anything inside Mailerrrize. Data only flows out of it, never back in. The single trigger is a polling one, which means a short wait between the lead and the Zap: on the free plan, Zapier checks for new leads every 15 minutes. Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back across this page. Here they are in plain terms.

Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. For Mailerrrize, it is a lead being created, and that is the only one.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something. Here, actions come from other apps.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. Your plan sets how many you get per month.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only what it has not seen.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier the moment the event happens. Mailerrrize does not offer one.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Mailerrrize account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that watches it for new leads.
Cost

What it really costs

Watching Mailerrrize for new leads is free, however often Zapier checks. What you pay for, in tasks, is what the next apps do with each lead.

  • Free plan100 tasks per month
  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Cost of the trigger0 tasks
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: one trigger, one action

Each successful action counts as one task; a failed one does not. One lead sent to a sheet costs one task, the same lead also posted to a chat costs two. Mailerrrize is not a premium app, so the free plan (100 tasks a month) works for a two-step Zap: the trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. Because Lead is a polling trigger, how often Zapier checks depends on your plan, as in the grid below.

Connect

Connect your Mailerrrize account

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Mailerrrize account first, with access to the leads you want the Zap to see.

  2. 02

    Pick Mailerrrize

Type Mailerrrize in the search box of the dialog, choose it in the results and click Add connection. That button opens the sign-in tab used in the last step.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to Mailerrrize in the tab that opens and allow Zapier to use the account. Every Zap that watches your leads then reuses this one connection, with no extra setup.

First Zap

Your first Zap: log qualified leads in a sheet

GoalWhen a lead is created in Mailerrrize and meets your condition, add it as a new row in your spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Mailerrrize as the app and Lead as the event, then select the connection you added earlier for this account.

  2. 02

    Test on a real lead

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the account, so you map the next steps on real data instead of a blank example.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, then set the field to look at, the rule and the value in Configure & test. Text rules only work on text.

  4. 04

    Add the sheet step

Add your spreadsheet app with its new-row action and map each lead field you want into a column. Check the column names match what you map.

  5. 05

    Test and publish

Test the steps, read what came back, then click Publish. With a filter this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

Triggers

Mailerrrize triggers

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Mailerrrize. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Lead

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a lead is created.”

Hands Zapier every new lead created in your Mailerrrize account. It is the only way into Zapier from Mailerrrize, so every automation on this page starts here.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
copy each new lead into a sheet, a task list or a team chat so the people who work outside Mailerrrize see it.
Watch out
leads created before the Zap was switched on are never picked up, and Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same lead does not start the Zap twice.
When it breaks

When it breaks

With one polling trigger and no action, the weak spots are on the timing and on the apps after it.

These are the cases to keep in mind before you publish. If a Zap stops for no clear reason, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Old leads stay where they are

A Zap only reacts to leads created after it is switched on. Everything already in Mailerrrize is ignored; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The lead arrives after a wait

Lead is a polling trigger: Zapier checks at the interval of your plan, 15 minutes on Free. A lead created just after a check waits for the next one.
  • A bulk import gets held back

If many leads appear at once, for instance after an import, the trigger returns a huge batch and Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • The same lead does not run twice

Zapier remembers which leads it has already seen on this polling trigger, so a lead processed once will not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

Mailerrrize and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Mailerrrize Zapier integration free?
Yes, for a Zap of two steps. Mailerrrize is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan, which includes 100 tasks a month. The limit to keep in mind is the shape of the Zap: the Lead trigger, then one action in another app, and nothing more. If you add a filter to keep only some leads, or a second action to post the lead in a chat as well as in a sheet, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. Sending every lead to one place fits the free plan.
02How many tasks does a Mailerrrize Zap use?
Nothing for the trigger, and one task for each action that succeeds afterwards. Zapier can check Mailerrrize for new leads as often as your plan allows without counting a single task. Each lead that reaches a sheet costs one task; if the Zap also creates a task in another tool, that lead costs two. A failed action is not counted. To estimate, count the actions in the Zap and multiply by the number of leads you expect in a month, then compare with your plan.
03Does Mailerrrize send leads to Zapier in real time?
No. Lead is a polling trigger: Zapier asks Mailerrrize for new leads at a fixed interval, and that interval depends on your plan. It is 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. A lead created just after a check waits until the next one. On paid plans the interval can be changed, and a check can also be run by hand from the editor when you are testing. Mailerrrize does not offer an instant trigger on Zapier.
04What does it take to connect Mailerrrize to Zapier?
A Mailerrrize account, plus access to the leads you want the Zap to see if they are not yours. Open the Apps page of your Zapier account, click + Add connection, search for Mailerrrize, pick it and click Add connection. Sign in in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The connection is then reused by every Zap that watches your leads. Before publishing, remember that the Zap will only pick up leads created from that point on, not the ones already there.
05Why are older Mailerrrize leads not in the Zap?
Because a Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. The Lead trigger looks for leads it has not seen yet from the moment you publish, so everything already stored in Mailerrrize stays out of the automation. If you need those leads in your sheet or your other tool, moving them is a separate job that the Zap will not do for you. Zapier also keeps track of the leads it has already processed, so republishing the Zap does not resend them either.
06What if the Mailerrrize operation you need is missing?
Then it is not available on Zapier today. The integration offers one trigger, Lead, and nothing else: no action and no search. That means a Zap can read new leads from Mailerrrize but cannot create, update or find anything in it. If the plan was to push contacts from another tool into Mailerrrize, this integration will not do it. List exactly what the automation has to achieve, keep the parts that start from a new lead, and handle the rest in Mailerrrize directly.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Mailerrrize?
Choose on criteria rather than on a name. On Zapier, Mailerrrize exposes a single polling trigger, so check first that reading new leads is all you need and that the interval of your plan suits how fast you want them elsewhere. Then look at the shape of your Zap: two steps fit the free plan, more need a paid one, and every successful action counts as a task. Compare what each other platform offers for Mailerrrize on those same points before deciding.
