Mifiel Zapier integrationAutomate Mifiel with Zapier.
The Mifiel Zapier integration comes down to 1 action, with no trigger and no search step. It creates a document from an HTML template saved in Mifiel, so every Zap starts in another app. Mifiel is open on the free plan, and a two-step Zap costs nothing to try.

What the Mifiel Zapier integration does for you
Mifiel is an electronic signature tool, and linking it to Zapier gives you one move: create a document from an HTML template you already saved in Mifiel, using data that arrives from another app. You set that up once as a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Documents prepared from a list. Each row added to a spreadsheet can produce its own Mifiel document, built on the same template, addressed to the Email on that row.
A tracking number you choose. The required External ID field takes an identifier from your own system, so every document created by the Zap can be matched back to the record that caused it.
Fewer documents typed by hand. Whatever the source, the template stays the same and only the values change, which is exactly the kind of repetitive work a single-action Zap is good at.
Now what Zapier does not do for Mifiel. There is no trigger, so Mifiel cannot start a Zap: nothing reacts on Zapier when a document is signed or viewed. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing document. And the one action creates; nothing updates, cancels or deletes a document from Zapier.
If you need more than that, see our Zapier alternatives page before you decide.
Zapier words, in one minute
Eight words come back throughout this page. Each one in plain terms.
- Zap
- The automation itself: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event shows up.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Mifiel has none on Zapier, so your Zaps always start in another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something in an app on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that your Zap completed successfully; your plan counts those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for recent items at a fixed interval and keeps only the new ones.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports by itself the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for Zapier's next check.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap that goes past one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Mifiel Zap really costs
The trigger never costs a task, wherever it comes from, and neither do Zapier's checks for new data.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps each
- One document createdOne task
- Failed actionNot counted against the plan
- Mifiel on freeYes, not reserved for paid plans
You pay in tasks, one for each Mifiel document the Zap creates successfully. An action that fails is not counted. Mifiel is not reserved for paid plans, so a free account can run a two-step Zap: one trigger from another app, then the Mifiel action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below does not concern Mifiel itself, which has no trigger: it applies to the trigger of the other app when that trigger is a polling one.
Connect your Mifiel account in three moves
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a Mifiel account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick Mifiel
Type Mifiel in the search box of the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens, and that is where you sign in to Mifiel.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Mifiel in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, then reused by every Zap step that uses Mifiel, so there is nothing to redo for the next Zap.
Your first Zap: from a spreadsheet row to a Mifiel document
GoalWhen a row is added to your spreadsheet and meets your condition, create a Mifiel document from your saved template for the Email on that row.
- 01
Start with the spreadsheet
Create a new Zap and pick your spreadsheet tool as the app that starts it, with its new-row event. Test it so Zapier brings back real rows to work with.
- 02
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then fill the field to look at, the rule and the value to compare with. With a filter, the Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.
- 03
Add the Mifiel action
Add Create a New Document From an HTML Template, choose your Mifiel connection, then pick the Template and map the Email and External ID from the row. All three are required.
- 04
Test the action
Run the step once and read what came back before going further. Then look at the result in your Mifiel account as well, before the Zap goes live.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Rows that were already in the spreadsheet before that moment are not processed by the Zap.
The Mifiel action on Zapier
Mifiel gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Create a New Document From an HTML Template
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a document using a saved HTML in mifiel.com”
Builds a new Mifiel document out of an HTML template you saved in your account, filled from earlier steps. Three fields are required: Template, External ID and Email. External ID is the identifier you give the document in your own system, to track it later. A Send email invites setting sits next to them; check at test what it changes.
When a Mifiel Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Mifiel and states no limit of its own for the app. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap.
Since the Zap starts in another app, most of these cases come from that trigger, not from Mifiel. If yours stops for a different reason, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Old rows never become documents
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. What already sat in the source app is not picked up; producing those documents is a separate job.A Zap that keeps restarting itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your task count quickly.A big batch held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item. The same item, run once
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
