MENU TIGER Zapier integrationAutomate MENU TIGER with Zapier.

The MENU TIGER Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches. Zapier reads new orders and new customers from your QR code menu and hands them to another tool. It cannot write anything back into MENU TIGER, and both triggers check on a timer.

Overview

What the MENU TIGER Zapier integration actually does

It is a one-way bridge. MENU TIGER, the QR code menu your customers use to order and pay, tells Zapier about two kinds of events: a new order and a new customer. Zapier then starts a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier (one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens), and pushes that record into the tool of your choice.

Three results people usually want from it. First, an order log that fills itself: New Order drops each order into a spreadsheet, so the numbers live somewhere you can sort, share and archive. Second, a customer list outside MENU TIGER: New Customer passes each new customer to a contact tool, where the rest of your follow-up already happens. Third, a heads-up for the team: the same New Order trigger can post a short message in a team chat, so nobody has to keep the MENU TIGER dashboard open.

Now the part the Zapier listing does not spell out. This app has no action and no search. Zapier cannot create an order, edit a menu, update a customer or even look one up inside MENU TIGER. Data only leaves the app; nothing goes back in. Both triggers are polling triggers too, so an order shows up in your other tool after Zapier's next check, never at the very moment it is placed.

If you are weighing other tools for the same job, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison and our Make vs Zapier comparison. Whether either of them connects to MENU TIGER is something to confirm in their own app lists before you commit.

Vocabulary

Zapier words you will meet on this page

Eight terms, explained once in plain words, then used as is.

Zap
An automation built on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Here, a new MENU TIGER order or a new MENU TIGER customer.
Action
What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app on this page.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One action your Zap completes successfully counts as one task on your plan.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself. Both MENU TIGER triggers poll.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your MENU TIGER account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that needs MENU TIGER.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What it really costs

MENU TIGER is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Watching for new orders and customers costs nothing, however often Zapier checks.

  • Trigger checkNo task
  • Successful action1 task each
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo

Only a completed action is billed: each action that succeeds is one task, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions eats three times what a one-action Zap does. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below sets how often both MENU TIGER triggers are checked.

Connect

Connect MENU TIGER to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an account on MENU TIGER first, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick MENU TIGER

Type MENU TIGER in the search box of the dialog that opens, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the MENU TIGER side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Sign in to MENU TIGER in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. From then on, every Zap that uses MENU TIGER can reuse that same connection, with nothing to redo.

First Zap

Your first Zap: log large or specific orders in a spreadsheet

GoalEach new MENU TIGER order that meets a condition you choose becomes a row in your spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose MENU TIGER as the app and New Order as the event. Select the connection you made in the step above.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders of the connected account, so you map fields on a real order instead of guessing what they contain.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, then set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers, or the filter never passes.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet step

Add your spreadsheet as the action, choose the step that adds a row, and map the order fields from the test into its columns. Check what each field really holds at the test.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step once and read what came back. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. With the filter, this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

Triggers

MENU TIGER triggers

2 events start a Zap when something happens in MENU TIGER. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Customer

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new customer is created.”

Starts your Zap each time a new customer record is created in MENU TIGER, so that person can be copied into a tool where the rest of your follow-up lives. Use the test to see which details the record carries before mapping them anywhere.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
you want your customer list kept in a contact tool or a mailing tool rather than only inside the QR menu dashboard.
Watch out
customers created before the Zap went live are never sent; only new ones count.
2

New Order

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new order is created.”

Fires on every order placed through your MENU TIGER menu and hands it to the next step of the Zap. That is the building block for an order log, a team alert or a copy in a shared spreadsheet. Run the test to see what an order contains.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
the team needs a record of each order somewhere other than MENU TIGER, sorted and shareable.
Watch out
Zapier remembers which orders it has already seen, so an order does not start the Zap twice.
When it breaks

When it breaks

Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to MENU TIGER. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general.

Four cases are worth knowing before you switch the Zap on. Each one looks like an order that seems late, missing or held back, and each comes from how Zapier works. If a Zap still misbehaves after you have ruled them out, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Old orders never arrive

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Orders and customers that already existed in MENU TIGER are not picked up.
  • The order looks late

Both triggers poll. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2, on Team and Enterprise every minute.
  • A big batch is held back

If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running them all.
  • An item seems skipped

Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same order or customer does not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

MENU TIGER Zapier integration: questions

01Is the MENU TIGER Zapier integration free?
Yes. MENU TIGER is not a premium app, so both triggers are available on the free plan. That plan includes 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps, with one limit nobody advertises: each Zap is two steps only, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action turns it into a multi-step Zap, and that requires a paid plan. The free plan also checks your polling triggers every 15 minutes, which matters here because both MENU TIGER triggers poll.
02How many tasks does a MENU TIGER Zap use?
Watching MENU TIGER costs nothing. The trigger never uses a task, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to find new orders or customers. Billing starts at the action: each action that succeeds counts as one task, and an action that fails is not counted. So a Zap that copies each new order into a spreadsheet uses one task per order. Add a second action, such as a team message, and every order costs two. A few apps and actions take more than one task when they complete, so read the task count on the other app's step.
03Does MENU TIGER reach Zapier in real time?
No. New Customer and New Order are both polling triggers, which means Zapier asks MENU TIGER for its latest items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen yet. The interval depends on your plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor. The trigger type comes from the app and cannot be switched from the Zap editor, so no setting will make these triggers instant.
04What do you need to connect a MENU TIGER account?
An account on MENU TIGER, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. The connection is made once from the Apps page of your Zapier account: click + Add connection, search for MENU TIGER, click Add connection, sign in on the MENU TIGER tab that opens and grant access. After that, every Zap that uses MENU TIGER picks the same connection, so there is nothing to redo per Zap.
05Will orders taken before the Zap was published be sent?
No. A Zap only reacts to orders and customers created after it is switched on, and it never goes back through history. If you need older orders in your spreadsheet, moving that backlog is a separate job; let the Zap handle everything new. When you test the trigger, Zapier does show the three most recent orders of the account, but that sample only serves to map fields; it does not send those orders on once the Zap is live.
06What if the MENU TIGER operation you need is not listed?
Then Zapier cannot do it with this app today. Open the MENU TIGER page on zapier.com: it shows the current list of operations, which at the time of writing is two triggers and nothing else. There is no way to add an operation from the Zap editor. If the job means writing into MENU TIGER, for instance changing an order, no Zap can do that here. Check whether another automation tool connects to MENU TIGER with the operation in question before building around a workaround.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for MENU TIGER?
Decide on three criteria rather than a ranking. Coverage: on Zapier, MENU TIGER offers two triggers and no action, so it fits jobs that only read new orders or customers; confirm in Make and n8n whether they offer MENU TIGER at all. Delay: both triggers poll, so your plan's interval sets how fast data moves. Shape of the job: the free Zapier plan stops at two steps, so a filter or a second destination already means a paid plan on Zapier. Compare those three points against your own volume.
