The Mitigated.io Zapier integration has 0 triggers, 2 actions and 1 search. Below: what each step writes into your security workspace, which fields it insists on, what it costs on the free plan and how a Zap starts when the app cannot start one itself.

What the Mitigated.io Zapier integration actually does
Mitigated.io gives teams shared workspaces to handle the security findings that come out of pen tests and risk assessments. The integration lets another app write into those workspaces through Zapier: something happens elsewhere, and a finding or a whole report lands in Mitigated.io without being typed again.
Findings that arrive already filled in. A row in your spreadsheet holds a name, a description, a severity and a remediation: Create Finding turns it into a finding inside the right dashboard, with Find Dashboard supplying the Dashboard ID the action requires.
A report in a single step. Import Report brings a new report into Mitigated.io with its name, description and scope, along with a finding and its steps to remediate, so the workspace opens with something to act on.
The right dashboard, found by name. Find Dashboard looks a dashboard up from at least five characters of its name and hands its ID to the next step, which spares you copying identifiers by hand.
What Zapier does not do for Mitigated.io: the app has no trigger, so nothing that happens inside it can start a Zap. There is no step to update or delete a finding either, and no find-or-create variant. Every Zap starts in another app, and Mitigated.io only receives. To weigh Zapier against other tools, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison.
Zapier words in one minute
Eight words, and the rest of the page reads easily. For a guided start, see our Zapier training.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Mitigated.io has none, so the trigger always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something in an app on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer by Zapier. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already in an app, so the steps after it can use what it found instead of guessing.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Mitigated.io Zap really costs
Zapier bills by task, and only for what works. The trigger in the other app costs nothing, and neither do Zapier's checks for new items.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Steps per Zap on free2: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, Mitigated.io works on the free plan
- Triggers in Mitigated.io0: the Zap starts in another app
Each action that succeeds counts once: a Zap that creates three findings uses three tasks. A failed action is not counted. Mitigated.io is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan, which stops at two steps per Zap. Find Dashboard before Create Finding already makes three steps, so that Zap needs a paid plan. The grid below concerns the trigger of the other app when it is a polling one; Mitigated.io has no trigger of its own.
Connect Mitigated.io to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens: type Mitigated.io in its search box, then pick the app from the results.
- 02
Sign in and grant access
Click Add connection. Mitigated.io opens in a new tab: sign in with the account the Zaps will write for, then grant Zapier access. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 03
Reuse the connection
The connection is your Mitigated.io account linked to Zapier once. Every Mitigated.io step reuses it afterwards, in this Zap and the next ones, so you do not sign in again each time you build one.
Your first Zap: spreadsheet rows become findings
GoalEach new row of your spreadsheet becomes a finding in the right Mitigated.io dashboard, without anyone copying it across.
- 01
Pick the trigger in your spreadsheet
Start a new Zap and choose your spreadsheet tool and its new-row event as the trigger. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent items, so you map the next steps on a real row.
- 02
Add Find Dashboard
Add Mitigated.io with Find Dashboard and type at least five characters of the dashboard name. This search makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 03
Add Create Finding
Add Mitigated.io again with Create Finding. Map the Dashboard ID from the search, then the name, description, severity and remediation from your row: all five are required.
- 04
Test each step
Run each step once and read what came back before going further. Each finding created is one task. Check the count on your plan after the first runs.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only rows added after that moment go through; the ones already in the sheet stay out of it.
Mitigated.io actions on Zapier
Mitigated.io gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Finding
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Finding in a Dashboard (requires a Dashboard ID)”
Adds one finding to a Mitigated.io dashboard, with its name, description, severity and remediation, so the team can start working on it inside the workspace.
Import Report
ActionIn Zapier“Imports a new report into Mitigated.io”
Brings a new report into Mitigated.io in a single step: the report itself, with its name, description and scope, plus a finding with its name, description, severity and steps to remediate.
The Mitigated.io search on Zapier
1 search step looks for data that already exists in Mitigated.io, so a later step can use it.
A search step reads, it does not write. Mitigated.io has one, listed at the bottom of the Action event list under SEARCH. Adding it makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan. Three settings decide what happens when it comes back empty or crowded.
Find Dashboard
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a Dashboard and returns the Dashboard ID and Dashboard Name”
Looks a dashboard up by its name and hands back its ID and name, which is exactly what Create Finding needs to know where to write.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and the steps that depended on it are skipped. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?On apps that offer it, this box turns a search into a find-or-create. Find Dashboard has no such variant, so a missing dashboard is never created by the Zap.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or hand all of them on at once.
When a Mitigated.io Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Mitigated.io, and no limit specific to the app is documented. The failures worth knowing are the general ones, and since every Zap here starts in another app, look at that trigger first when something goes wrong.
When a Zap stops behaving, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
The past is not replayed
A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Rows, answers or reports that existed before stay out, and moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
As a general precaution, a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again, and the task count drops fast.A sudden flood gets held
When the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item. The same item counts once
When the trigger in the other app is a polling one, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
