What the MobilePages Zapier integration does for you
MobilePages builds mobile landing pages, and the leads they collect stay inside it unless something moves them. The integration is that something: through Zapier, each new lead becomes the starting point of an automation that hands it to your other tools, so nobody exports a list by hand.
Three results you can build on the one trigger. A shared lead sheet: New Lead starts the automation and each lead becomes a row in your spreadsheet, where the whole team can sort and comment. A contact record: the same lead is created as a contact in the tool where you follow up, with its fields mapped once at setup. A team alert: a message in your team chat tells whoever handles leads that a new one just arrived, so the first reply does not wait for someone to check the dashboard.
What Zapier does not do here. MobilePages has no action and no search step on Zapier, so a Zap can read leads out of it but can never write anything back: no page created, no lead updated, no lookup of an existing lead. It also ignores every lead captured before the Zap is switched on, and each extra step you chain after a lead turns the Zap into one that needs a paid plan. To weigh the same flow on other platforms, open our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back all over this page. Here they are in plain English, once, before the details.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. With MobilePages there is exactly one: a new lead is captured on a page.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started, in another app: add a row, create a contact, post a message for you.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The monthly count on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier when the event happens. New Lead is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a MobilePages Zap really costs
MobilePages is not a premium app, so it works on the Free plan. The New Lead trigger never costs a task: only the actions that follow it, in your other apps, are billed when they succeed.
- New Lead trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo
A Zap that adds each lead to a spreadsheet uses one task per lead; send a team alert as well and every lead counts two. An action that fails is not counted, and a few actions take more than one task. The Free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each stopping at two steps, so a filter or a second action needs a paid plan. The interval grid below is for polling triggers and does not apply to New Lead, which is instant.
Connect MobilePages to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an account on MobilePages, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick MobilePages
Type the app's name in the search box of the dialog, select MobilePages, then click Add connection. A new tab opens, and that is where you sign in, on the MobilePages side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to your MobilePages account in that tab, then grant Zapier access to it. The connection is saved once and reused by every Zap that starts from one of your pages.
Your first Zap: only the leads you want, in a spreadsheet
GoalEach time one of your MobilePages landing pages captures a lead, let it through only when it meets your rule, then add it as a row in your spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap and set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose MobilePages as the app that starts it, pick New Lead as the event, select your connection, then pick the Website ID of the page to watch.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real lead rather than an empty one.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add a Filter step and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value. A filter makes this a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet action
Add the action of your spreadsheet tool and map what the trigger test returned into its columns. Which fields come back depends on your page, so check them at the test.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the row looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on. For a guided start, see our Zapier training.
The MobilePages trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in MobilePages, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is captured.”
Starts a Zap each time one of your MobilePages landing pages captures a new lead, and passes what the visitor left to the next steps. It is the only way into your other tools from MobilePages through Zapier.
When a MobilePages Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to MobilePages, and no limit specific to the app is documented. What breaks here are the general limits of any Zap, applied to a single lead trigger.
Each case below comes from the way Zaps work, not from a fault in your account. Read them before you publish, then again when the first real leads come in. If a Zap still misbehaves, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
Past leads are not replayed
A Zap only reacts to leads captured after it is switched on. The ones already sitting in MobilePages are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.A sudden huge batch
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger that returns a huge batch at once can be held back by Zapier's flood protection. Two steps on the Free plan
The Free plan builds Zaps of one trigger and one action. A filter, as in the Zap above, or a second action needs a paid plan before it can run.
