Moja Zapier integrationAutomate Moja with Zapier.

The Moja Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. That single trigger, New Contact, is checked on a timer and hands each new contact to your other tools. Moja is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. Here is what it does and where it stops.

Overview

What the Moja Zapier integration actually does

Moja is a communication platform that brings the channels a business uses to talk with its clients into one place. On Zapier, it does one thing: each new contact added in Moja can start a Zap and be passed to another app, so the contact list does not stay locked inside Moja.

A contact list you can share. New Contact can add every new Moja contact as a row in a spreadsheet, so people who never log in to Moja still see who just got in touch. Nobody has to copy names from one screen to another.

Contacts that reach your other tools. The same trigger can feed a CRM or a mailing tool on the action side, so new contacts reach the place where you follow them up.

A heads-up for the team. Point the Zap at a chat or email step and someone hears about each new contact without opening Moja.

Now what Zapier does not do with Moja. There is no action: a Zap cannot create, update or message a contact in Moja. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot look a contact up. And New Contact is a polling trigger, so each contact waits for Zapier's next check before anything happens. In short, Moja on Zapier is a one-way street out of the app.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Six words carry this page. Each one, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event for you.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something in another app on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only what is new. New Contact is one.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Cost

What a Moja Zap costs

The Moja trigger costs nothing, however often Zapier checks for new contacts. Only actions in other apps are billed, as tasks.

  • New Contact checkFree, never counted
  • Each successful action1 task, in the other app
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, Zaps of 2 steps
  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan

A Zap that adds each new Moja contact to a spreadsheet uses one task per contact; add a second action and each contact costs two. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap (anything beyond one trigger and one action), and that needs a paid plan. Moja is not a premium app. The grid below is how often Zapier checks New Contact on each plan.

Connect

Connect your Moja account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Moja account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from Moja.

  2. 02

    Pick Moja

Search for Moja in the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens so you can sign in to your Moja account and continue.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Moja in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: new Moja contacts in a spreadsheet

GoalEach new contact added in Moja lands as a row in a shared spreadsheet, but only when it matches a condition you choose.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose Moja as the app that starts it and New Contact as the event, then select the Moja connection you added.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent contacts of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real one.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Add a Filter step from the plus icon and set the field, the rule and the value. A filter makes this a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet row

Add your spreadsheet tool as the action and map the contact's fields into the columns. Test the step once and read what came back.

  5. 05

    Publish

Publish the Zap to switch it on. Zapier then checks Moja at your plan's interval and adds each new contact that passes the filter.

Triggers

The Moja trigger on Zapier

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Moja. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Contact

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new contact is added.”

Starts a Zap each time a contact is added in Moja. It is the only Moja operation on Zapier, and the one way to get your contacts out of Moja and into the rest of your tools.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
keep a spreadsheet or a CRM in step with the contacts your team gathers through Moja's channels.
Watch out
contacts that existed before the Zap was published are never picked up; only new ones start it.
When it breaks

When a Moja Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article and no app-specific limit to Moja. What breaks comes from the way Zapier works in general, and it applies here too.

Three cases to know before you switch the Zap on. If it still does not behave, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • No history is picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Contacts already in Moja stay there; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A bulk import can be held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those contacts back.
  • The same contact will not run twice

Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger like New Contact, so the same contact does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

Moja Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Moja Zapier integration free?
Yes. Moja is not a premium app, so it works on Zapier's free plan. That plan gives 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that sends each new Moja contact to a spreadsheet fits exactly. Adding a filter, a second action or a search makes it a multi-step Zap, and then you need a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a Moja Zap use?
None for Moja itself. New Contact is a trigger, and triggers never cost a task, however often Zapier checks. What you pay for is each action that succeeds in the other app: one spreadsheet row per contact means one task per contact. A Zap that also posts a message spends two tasks per contact. Actions that fail are not counted against the plan. On the free plan, the 100 monthly tasks are shared across all your Zaps.
03Does Moja send new contacts to Zapier in real time?
No. New Contact is a polling trigger: Zapier asks Moja for new contacts at a fixed interval instead of being told. On the free plan that interval is 15 minutes, on Professional 2 minutes, and on Team and Enterprise 1 minute. On paid plans you can also change how often it checks, or run a check by hand from the editor. Any change of speed comes from the plan, not from a Moja setting.
04What does it take to connect Moja to Zapier?
An account on Moja, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. You start from the Apps page of your Zapier account with + Add connection, search for Moja, sign in in the tab that opens and allow access. The connection is then reused by every Zap that starts from Moja. Moja asks for no extra field when you build the Zap, since New Contact has no required setting.
05Can Zapier send messages or create contacts in Moja?
No. The Moja integration has no action at all, only the New Contact trigger. Data can leave Moja through Zapier, but no Zap can write back into it: no new contact, no update, no message. If your workflow needs to put something into Moja, Zapier cannot do that part today. Plan your Zaps with Moja as the starting point and another app as the destination. Moja stays the source of your data on Zapier, never the destination.
06What if the Moja operation you need is not there?
Look at the Moja page on Zapier, which shows the current list of operations; today it is New Contact alone. If what you need is a different event, it is not available as a trigger there. The closest route is to start from New Contact and handle the rest in the destination app, where its own triggers and actions may cover the follow-up. Data that already exists in Moja is not picked up either.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Moja?
Choose on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, Moja offers one polling trigger, free to use on the free plan, and a two-step Zap covers the classic case of copying contacts elsewhere. The limits are no action and a check interval that follows your plan. Before looking at Make or n8n, check first whether they offer a Moja connector at all, and how they bill each run. For copying contacts elsewhere, the free plan is enough.
