Momenial: Webinar Certificates Zapier integrationAutomate Momenial: Webinar Certificates with Zapier.
The Momenial: Webinar Certificates Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action. The trigger is instant, so a new recipient reaches your Zap right away on any plan, and the action creates a certificate and emails it. Both fit on the free plan.

What the Momenial: Webinar Certificates Zapier integration does
The Momenial: Webinar Certificates Zapier integration links Momenial, the app that produces digital certificates and badges, with the other tools you use. A new certificate recipient in Momenial can start work elsewhere, and something that happens in another tool can create a certificate and email it. You set it up once as a Zap, and it runs while it is on.
Three results people build. A certificate that sends itself: when an attendee is marked in another tool, Create Certificate produces the certificate and emails it to them, from just a name and an email address. A register of who was certified: New Recipient adds a row to a spreadsheet for each new person, so the list exists outside Momenial too. A heads-up for the team: the same trigger posts a message in your team chat each time someone new receives a certificate.
What Zapier does not do here. There are only two operations. No search, so a Zap cannot look up a recipient or a certificate that already exists. No action to edit, revoke or resend a certificate. And the trigger does not fire when a certificate goes to a recipient who already exists in Momenial: only brand-new recipients start the Zap.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
A handful of words come back on every line below. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap, like a new recipient in Momenial. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, like a Momenial certificate.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of those.
- Instant vs polling
- An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens. A polling one is checked by Zapier on a timer. Momenial's trigger is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Momenial Zap really costs
Momenial: Webinar Certificates is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps
- Premium appNo, it works on the free plan
- Trigger typeInstant, no waiting for a check
The trigger itself costs nothing. Each action that succeeds counts as one task, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses, and a few apps and actions take more than one task. The free plan builds two-step Zaps: a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, so paid. The grid below is how often Zapier checks a polling trigger by plan; it does not apply to Momenial's instant trigger.
Connect Momenial to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Momenial account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick the app
Search for Momenial: Webinar Certificates in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens so you can sign in to Momenial with the account your Zaps will use.
- 03
Grant access
Sign in to Momenial in that tab and give Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and every Momenial step you add later, in any Zap, reuses it.
Your first Momenial Zap: a register of certified people
GoalEach time Momenial gets a new recipient, add a row to your spreadsheet and tell the team in chat.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and pick Momenial: Webinar Certificates as the app that starts it. With two actions after the trigger, this Zap needs a paid plan.
- 02
Set the trigger
Choose New Recipient and your Momenial connection. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent recipients of the account, so you map on a real one.
- 03
Add the row
Add your spreadsheet step and place the recipient details from the test in the right columns. Run the step once and check the row that appears.
- 04
Tell the team
Add your team chat step and write a short message with the recipient details the trigger test shows, so the team knows who was just certified.
- 05
Publish
Read what each step returned, then publish the Zap to switch it on. Recipients created before that moment are not picked up, only new ones.
Momenial triggers on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Momenial: Webinar Certificates, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Recipient
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new recipient is created, usually when a certificate is issued. Does NOT trigger when issued to an EXISTING recipient.”
Starts a Zap when a new recipient is created in Momenial, which usually happens when a certificate is issued to someone for the first time. It is the only trigger of this integration, and the way into everything else.
Momenial actions on Zapier
Momenial: Webinar Certificates gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Create Certificate
ActionIn Zapier“Create a Certificate and email it to the recipient.”
Creates a certificate in Momenial and emails it to the recipient, in one step.
When a Momenial Zap breaks
Zapier lists no Momenial-specific limit or error for this integration. What goes wrong comes from how Zapier works, plus one rule of the trigger itself.
These four cases cover the general limits. They do not show while you build; they appear once the Zap is live and real recipients and certificates go through it. If one of them hits you, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Existing recipients are not picked up
New Recipient only fires for a recipient created for the first time. A new certificate for someone already in Momenial does not start the Zap.Nothing from before
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Recipients that already existed are never picked up; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that restarts itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burns through your tasks. Keep the two apart.Flood protection
If a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running them all.
