My UGC Studio Zapier integrationAutomate My UGC Studio with Zapier.
The My UGC Studio Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 1 action and 0 searches. One side starts a generation job from a product photo, the other picks up each new image or video asset so another app can use it. Here is what each run costs and where it can break.
Beta app Zapier still marks this integration as beta.

What the My UGC Studio Zapier integration does
My UGC Studio turns product images into AI photos and videos. Linked to Zapier, it works in both directions: a Zap can hand it a source image to work on, and another Zap can react when a new asset comes out. The app is listed as beta on Zapier, so test each step carefully. If Zapier is new to you, our Zapier review is a good first stop.
A running log of every asset. With New Asset Generated as the trigger, each new image or video can add a row to a spreadsheet, so you keep one list of what was produced without opening the studio.
Generation jobs started from elsewhere. Generate Product Image takes a public link to a product photo and one of your saved style profiles, then creates the job. The photo can come from any app that holds a public HTTPS link to it.
New assets shared with the people who need them. The same trigger can feed a message, a file copy or a task in another tool; only the card after the trigger changes, and the trigger stays the same.
What Zapier does not do here. The app has no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing asset or profile. There is no action to edit, delete or download an asset, and no instant trigger: new assets are picked up on a timer. To compare platforms on criteria, see Make vs Zapier.
Zapier words in one minute
Seven terms come back on this page. Each one in plain words.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Here, a new asset in My UGC Studio.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, like starting a generation job.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a My UGC Studio Zap really costs
My UGC Studio is not reserved for paid plans: it works from the free plan. You pay in tasks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- Trigger checkNever billed
- Each successful action1 task
- Failed actionNot counted
New Asset Generated never costs a task, and neither does Zapier checking for new assets, however often it looks. Each action that goes through counts one task, including Generate Product Image; one that fails is not counted. The free plan builds Zaps of two steps only: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, and that needs a paid plan. The grid below sets how often Zapier checks the polling trigger on each plan.
Connect My UGC Studio to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your My UGC Studio account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.
- 02
Pick My UGC Studio
Search for My UGC Studio by name in the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens, this time on the My UGC Studio side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to My UGC Studio in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
Your first Zap: every new asset logged, and the team told
GoalEach new image or video asset generated in My UGC Studio adds a row to your spreadsheet, then posts a message in your team chat.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and choose My UGC Studio as the trigger app, with New Asset Generated as the event. Pick your connection.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so the mapping is done on a real asset rather than a blank one.
- 03
Add the spreadsheet step
Add an action, choose your spreadsheet tool and its add-row event, then map the values the trigger returned into the columns. Check at test which values are available.
- 04
Add the team message
Add a second action with your team chat and write the message with the same asset values. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step, open the sheet and the chat to check the result, then click Publish. Zapier then checks for new assets at your plan's interval. For guided practice, see our Zapier training.
The My UGC Studio trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in My UGC Studio. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Asset Generated
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new image or video asset is generated.”
Starts your Zap each time My UGC Studio finishes a new image or video asset, and hands what it knows about that asset to the next steps. It is the only way for activity inside the studio to reach another app through Zapier, so every flow that runs after a generation starts here.
The My UGC Studio action
My UGC Studio gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Generate Product Image
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a generation job using a source image URL and a saved profile.”
Opens a generation job in My UGC Studio from a product photo link and one of your saved style profiles.
When a My UGC Studio Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article and no specific limit to My UGC Studio. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general, plus the two required fields of the action.
Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. If a Zap behaves oddly, start with our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Earlier assets are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Assets generated before publishing are not sent anywhere; moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
As a general precaution: a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again and burn through tasks.A large batch at once
If the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back. The same asset, once
Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on this polling trigger, so the same asset does not start the Zap twice.
