myInterview Zapier integrationAutomate myInterview with Zapier.
The myInterview Zapier integration offers 3 triggers and 3 actions, and 0 searches. Zapier can tell your other tools when a video interview is finished, and it can open a job or invite a candidate for you. Here is what each piece does, what it costs, and where it trips.

What the myInterview Zapier integration does for your hiring
myInterview is a video screening tool for hiring. Linking it to Zapier lets your other tools hear about new jobs, new templates and finished interviews, and lets those tools open jobs and send interview invitations in myInterview without anyone copying names and emails by hand.
A team that knows there is something to watch. New Interview Completed picks up each finished interview, for one job or for all of them, and a Zap can pass the news to your team.
Invitations that leave from the tool where candidates already are. Invite Candidate sends a person to a job you already created in myInterview, with their name and email taken from a previous step.
A job and its first candidates in one go. Create Job and Invite Candidates opens the job and invites people to it in the same action, which suits a hiring round that starts from a list kept somewhere else.
What Zapier does not do here: none of the three triggers is instant, so a finished interview reaches your Zap at the next check, not the moment it ends. There is no search step for myInterview, and no action that edits, closes or deletes a job, so changes to a job stay a manual step in myInterview.

Zapier words, in one minute
Seven terms come back on this page. Here they are once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts your Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you in an app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance is a count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only the ones it has not seen.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your myInterview account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches myInterview.
What a myInterview Zap really costs
myInterview is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only completed actions count.
- Trigger and checksFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- Filter or second actionMulti-step Zap, paid plan
The trigger never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks for new interviews, however often they run. Each action that goes through is one task: a Zap that posts in chat and adds a spreadsheet row uses two per finished interview. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps. A second action or a filter makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
All three myInterview triggers are polling triggers, so the grid below decides how soon a new item reaches your Zap.
Connect your myInterview account to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a myInterview account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find myInterview and confirm
Type myInterview in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the myInterview side, where the setup finishes.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to myInterview in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. Every later step that uses myInterview, in this Zap and the next ones, reuses that single connection.
Your first myInterview Zap: finished interviews to chat and sheet
GoalEach time a candidate completes a video interview, tell your team in chat and log the interview in a tracking spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap and pick the trigger
Create a new Zap, choose myInterview as the app and New Interview Completed as the event, then select your myInterview connection.
- 02
Choose one job or all of them
Set the trigger to watch a specific job or every job. Then run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent items, so you map from a real interview.
- 03
Add the chat message
Add an action with your team chat tool and its send message event. Put in the fields from the myInterview step that the test brought back.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet row
Add a second action for your spreadsheet. That turns it into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. On the free plan, keep one of the two actions.
- 05
Test each step, then publish
Run each action once and check the message in chat and the new row in the sheet. When both look right, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
myInterview triggers: three checks on a timer
3 events start a Zap when something happens in myInterview. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
Get Jobs
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when there's a new created job.”
Picks up each new job created in myInterview. Despite the name, it is not a one-off lookup: it starts your Zap once per new job it finds.
Get Templates
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when there's a new template.”
Starts a Zap for each new interview template in myInterview. Templates are what Create Job and Invite Candidates needs, so this trigger is a way to keep track of them outside the app.
New Interview Completed
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new interview has been completed for a specified job or all jobs.”
Fires for each interview a candidate finishes, either for one job you pick or across all jobs. It marks the moment there is finally something to review.
myInterview actions: open jobs and invite people
myInterview gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Job
ActionIn Zapier“Create a new job”
Opens a new job in myInterview. Only the title is required, which makes it the simplest action of the three.
Create Job and Invite Candidates
ActionIn Zapier“Create Job and invite candidates”
Creates a job and invites people to it in a single step. It needs a job title, a template ID, and a name and email for the candidate.
Invite Candidate
ActionIn Zapier“Invite Candidate to a pre-created job”
Sends one person to a job that already exists in myInterview, using a candidate name and email, both required.
When a myInterview Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to myInterview and lists no limit of its own for it. What can go wrong comes from how Zaps work in general.
Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. For the rest, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Old interviews never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Interviews finished before that are not picked up; moving that history is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
As a general precaution: a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again and burn through tasks.A big batch held back
If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.No double runs
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same interview or job does not start the Zap twice.
