nandbox Zapier integrationAutomate nandbox with Zapier.
The nandbox Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action, with no search step. Both work on channel posts: Zapier can spot a new post in your channel, or publish one for you. Here is what each does, what it costs and where it trips up.

What the nandbox Zapier integration actually does
nandbox is a messaging app for personal and work use, with profiles, groups and channels that people subscribe to. Its Zapier integration is about channels only: it lets Zapier notice when a post goes up in one of your channels, and lets Zapier publish a post there for you, through Zaps you set up once.
Three results come out of those two operations. A channel that feeds the rest of your tools: New Post in Channel can copy each post to your team chat, so colleagues who never open nandbox still see it. A channel that publishes by itself: Create Post in Channel can turn a new article, a new product or a form answer from another app into a post for your subscribers. And an archive you can search: the same trigger can add each post as a row in a spreadsheet, which keeps a record outside the app.
What Zapier does not do for nandbox is just as clear. The trigger is not instant: Zapier checks on a timer, and that timer depends on your plan. There is no search step, and nothing on groups or private chats: the integration only covers channel posts. And a Zap never reaches back in time, so posts published before you switch it on stay out of it.

Zapier words you will meet on this page
Eight terms, one line each. They come back in every block below.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, keeping only items it has not seen yet. The nandbox trigger works this way.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
- Connection
- Your nandbox account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches nandbox.
What a nandbox Zap really costs
Zapier bills tasks, not checks. The trigger never costs anything, however often Zapier looks at your channel.
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Zaps on the free planUnlimited, two steps each
- Cost of a trigger check0 tasks
- Premium appNo, free plan works
Each action that goes through counts as one task, so posting to a channel once costs one task, and a three-action Zap uses three times what a one-action Zap uses. An action that fails is not counted. nandbox is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan, but that plan stops at two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks a polling trigger like New Post in Channel on each plan.
Connect nandbox to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need an account on nandbox, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick nandbox
Type nandbox in the search box of the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens so you can sign in to nandbox.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to nandbox in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once and then offered to every Zap step that uses nandbox.
Your first nandbox Zap: keep a record of every channel post
GoalEach new post in your nandbox channel becomes a row in a spreadsheet, and your team chat gets a message about it.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and pick nandbox as the app that starts it. Choose New Post in Channel as the event, then select your nandbox connection.
- 02
Choose the channel
Pick your channel in Channel Id. If it is missing, add the Zapier bot as admin, send it
/add, then refresh fields. Testing brings back the three most recent posts. - 03
Add the row
Add your spreadsheet as the action and pick the columns to fill. Check at test what the trigger actually returns before you map anything into them.
- 04
Tell the team
Add your chat app as a third step. Three steps make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan; on the free plan, stop after the spreadsheet row.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and read what came back. When the row shows up in your spreadsheet, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
nandbox triggers on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in nandbox. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Post in Channel
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when you add a new post on your channel.”
Each post you add to the channel you pick starts the Zap, so what you publish to subscribers can travel to your other tools as well. It watches a single channel, the one chosen in the trigger, and nothing from groups or private chats.
/add.nandbox actions on Zapier
nandbox gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Post in Channel
ActionIn Zapier“Create a new post in your channel.”
Publishes a new post in the channel you choose, with the text you write or map from an earlier step into the Post field. It is the only way the integration writes into nandbox.
When a nandbox Zap breaks
Zapier lists no limit of its own for nandbox. The cases below are the general ones, and they apply to every nandbox Zap.
If a Zap stops doing what you expect, check these four cases first. For anything else, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
No catch-up on old posts
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Posts published before are never picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that feeds itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through the task count.Flood protection on big batches
If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. The same post, never twice
Zapier keeps track of what a polling trigger has already seen, so the same post does not start the Zap twice.
