OnePageCRM Zapier integrationAutomate OnePageCRM with Zapier.
The OnePageCRM Zapier integration covers 9 triggers, 8 actions and 3 searches. Contacts, deals, calls, notes and Next Actions can start a Zap, be created or updated by one, and be looked up mid-way, so your CRM stays in step with the rest of your tools.

What the OnePageCRM Zapier integration does for you
Zapier is a service that makes your apps work together, without code. Plugged into OnePageCRM, the CRM organised around one Next Action per contact, it reacts to what happens in your pipeline, writes contacts, deals, calls and notes for you, and looks up existing records so nothing gets created twice.
Three results teams usually build. A contact created in OnePageCRM for every lead your website or forms collect, using Create Contact, or the find-or-create variant of Find Contact when the person may already be there. A team channel or tracker that hears about each new opportunity, built on New Deal. And a hand-off to billing when a deal is won, built on Closed Sales Cycle.
One detail is worth more than any other on a free plan. Seven of the nine triggers poll: Zapier checks OnePageCRM on a timer, every 15 minutes on Free. Only New Next Action and Completed Next Action are instant: OnePageCRM tells Zapier itself and the Zap starts right away, whatever the plan. If speed matters, build around Next Actions.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no action to delete a contact, a deal or a note, and nothing to edit a call after it is logged. Most actions also expect a Contact ID, so the contact has to exist before the Zap writes to it.
To place this in context, two pages to keep at hand: Zapier review and n8n vs Zapier.
Zapier words, in plain English
Eight terms come back on every line of this page. One sentence each.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap, such as a new deal, an updated contact or a Next Action marked done in OnePageCRM.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, like creating a note.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. The allowance on your plan is a monthly count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks the app on a timer for new items. Instant: the app tells Zapier itself. OnePageCRM has both kinds.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already in an app, such as an existing contact, so later steps can use what it found.
- Connection
- Your OnePageCRM account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches the CRM.
What it really costs
Zapier bills tasks, and only actions that work are counted. Watching OnePageCRM for new deals or contacts costs nothing, however often Zapier checks.
- Trigger, polling or instant0 tasks
- Successful action1 task each
- Failed actionNot counted
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Search or filter in the ZapPaid plan needed
The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and a polling check every 15 minutes. OnePageCRM is not reserved for paid plans, so it runs on Free. The catch is the step count: a free Zap is one trigger plus one action. A search step, a filter or a second action makes it multi-step, and that needs a paid plan, which matters here since so many actions want a Contact ID found first. Failed actions are not counted; a Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses.
Connect your OnePageCRM account
- 01
Open Apps and start a connection
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box: type OnePageCRM and pick it from the results.
- 02
Sign in to OnePageCRM
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on the OnePageCRM sign-in. Log in with the user whose contacts and deals the Zaps should read and write, since every step runs with that user's rights.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to access the account. The connection is saved and reused by every OnePageCRM step. If the Zap must touch contacts owned by teammates, make sure your user has read or write access to them.
Your first Zap: chain the next Next Action
GoalWhen a rep ticks off a Next Action of the right kind, a follow-up Next Action is created on the same contact.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Build a new Zap. Choose OnePageCRM as the app that starts it and Completed Next Action as the event, then select your connection. It is instant, so no polling delay applies.
- 02
Test on a real completion
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent completed Next Actions of your account. Pick one, so every mapping that follows uses real data.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter and fill the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare with. A text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers.
- 04
Add Create Next Action
Add the action step, OnePageCRM again, event Create Next Action. Map the contact from step 1 into Contact ID and write the Text of the follow-up, both mandatory.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and read what came back. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. With the filter it is a multi-step Zap, so it runs on a paid plan.
OnePageCRM triggers
9 events start a Zap when something happens in OnePageCRM, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Closed Sales Cycle
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a sales cycle is closed.”
Picks up each contact whose sales cycle has just been closed in OnePageCRM and hands it to the next steps, which makes it the natural start for everything that happens after a deal is won.
Completed Next Action
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a next action is completed.”
Reacts when someone ticks off a Next Action, the single to-do OnePageCRM keeps for each contact, and passes that completed step along the Zap.
New Next Action
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new next action is added.”
Catches every Next Action added to a contact, the moment it lands in the pipeline, so the to-do can be mirrored elsewhere.
New Call
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new call is created.”
Sends each call logged against a contact down the Zap, so call activity can be tracked outside OnePageCRM.
New Contact
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a contact is created.”
Starts a Zap each time a contact is created in OnePageCRM and carries that new record into your other tools.
New Deal
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a deal is created.”
Fires on each deal created in the CRM and passes it to the following steps, which gives the rest of the company a view of the pipeline as it grows.
New Note
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new note is created.”
Brings every note written on a contact into the Zap, so what reps learn on calls and visits does not stay locked in the CRM.
Updated Contact
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a contact is updated.”
Notices when a contact's record changes and sends the updated version down the Zap, which keeps other tools in line with the CRM.
Updated Deal
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a deal is updated.”
Watches existing deals and starts the Zap when one of them is edited, so the change can travel to the people who track the numbers.
OnePageCRM actions
OnePageCRM gives you 8 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Close Sales Cycle
ActionIn Zapier“Closes the sales cycle for a specific contact.”
Closes the sales cycle of a given contact from outside the CRM, which marks the end of the selling stage for that person.
Create Next Action
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new Next Action for contact.”
Gives a contact its next to-do, so the follow-up is set by the Zap rather than remembered by a person.
Create Call
ActionIn Zapier“Adds a new call to a contact.”
Logs a call on a contact from another tool, which keeps call history complete even when calls happen outside the CRM.
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new contact in OnePageCRM.”
Adds a fresh contact to OnePageCRM from whatever the trigger brought in, such as a form entry or a new customer elsewhere.
Create Deal
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new deal.”
Opens a new deal on an existing contact, which puts the opportunity in your pipeline straight from another app.
Create Note
ActionIn Zapier“Adds a new note to a contact.”
Writes a note on a contact, which turns information from other apps into context the rep sees on the record.
Update Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Updates a contact in OnePageCRM.”
Changes an existing contact with fresh information from another app, without touching the fields you leave alone.
Update Deal
ActionIn Zapier“Updates an existing deal in OnePageCRM.”
Edits a deal that already exists, so its record follows what happens in other tools.
OnePageCRM searches
3 search steps look for data that already exists in OnePageCRM, so a later step can use it.
A search step finds a record that already exists and hands it to the steps that follow. In the editor, OnePageCRM searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Whether a search wants an exact value or something close is decided by OnePageCRM, not by Zapier. Three settings decide what happens next.
Find Contact
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Find a contact in OnepageCRM.”
Looks up an existing contact so later steps get its Contact ID, the value most OnePageCRM actions require.
Find Deal
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Find a deal in OnepageCRM.”
Retrieves a deal already in the pipeline, which gives Update Deal the Deal ID it insists on.
Find User
SearchIn Zapier“Find an user in OnepageCRM.”
Finds a user of your OnePageCRM account, so a later step can use who it found.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and the steps that depended on it are skipped. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking it turns the search into a find-or-create: the setting above disappears and the step asks for the fields needed to create the missing record.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several records match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or hand all of them on at once.
When it breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to OnePageCRM, and no limit specific to the app is documented. The failures below come from how Zapier works and from the required fields of the operations.
Six cases cover most of it. When a Zap misbehaves, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
Old records never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Contacts, deals and notes already in OnePageCRM are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.Update triggers that feed themselves
Updated Contact with Update Contact, or Updated Deal with Update Deal, on the same records: the Zap fires again and again and drains the task count.A missing Contact ID
Six actions refuse to run without a Contact ID. When the trigger comes from another app, put Find Contact in front to fetch it, which makes the Zap multi-step.Empty fields that do not clear
Update Contact and Update Deal only change the fields you map. A blank stays as it was; type a space in a field when you really want it emptied.A sudden flood gets held back
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger can return a huge batch at once, and Zapier's flood protection may hold it back.No duplicates on polling
On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same contact or deal never starts the Zap twice.
