PARiM Zapier integrationAutomate PARiM with Zapier.
The PARiM Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 1 action and 0 searches, all built around one thing: employee profiles. A new profile in PARiM can start work elsewhere, and a hire recorded elsewhere can become a PARiM profile without retyping.

What the PARiM Zapier integration is good for
The PARiM Zapier integration links your PARiM account to Zapier around employee profiles. PARiM is the tool where you schedule your staff's work, track their attendance and work out their pay. On Zapier, it can announce each new profile to other apps, and it can receive new profiles created from elsewhere.
Three results are worth setting up. A welcome that nobody forgets: New Employee Profile Created starts a Zap, and the team channel gets a message about the newcomer. A staff list kept in step: the same trigger adds a row to the spreadsheet that payroll or the office manager already uses. And no double entry at hiring time: a recruiting form or an HR tool starts the Zap, then Create Employee Profile writes the new person into PARiM, with first name, last name, email and the visa question filled in.
Now the limits, because they matter here. Two operations is a short list: there is no step to update a profile, no step for shifts, attendance or pay, and no search to look a person up. The only trigger is polling, so a new profile arrives on Zapier's next check, not the second it is saved. And because the action writes exactly where the trigger watches, putting both in the same Zap is asking for trouble (more on that below).

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words from the editor, explained once here and reused as is on the rest of the page.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event, here a new PARiM profile.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, like creating a PARiM profile.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, and only those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself the moment the event happens, so nothing waits. PARiM does not offer one on Zapier.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
What a PARiM Zap costs you
PARiM is not a premium app, so it works on Zapier's free plan. The trigger costs nothing, and neither does any check Zapier runs on your account.
- Trigger and checksFree
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two steps per Zap
- Premium appNo
Only successful actions are billed, one task each. A Zap that posts a message for every new profile uses one task per hire, and a failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, checks every 15 minutes, and Zaps of two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter, a second action or a search makes the Zap multi-step, and multi-step Zaps always need a paid plan on Zapier, whichever app they use.
Connect PARiM to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your PARiM account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that touches PARiM.
- 02
Choose PARiM
Search for PARiM in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens where PARiM asks you to sign in with your own account, not a colleague's.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to PARiM and allow Zapier to reach the account. You need a PARiM account, plus write access on employee profiles if the Zap is going to create them for you.
Your first PARiM Zap
GoalEvery new employee profile in PARiM is announced to the team, with a filter so only the profiles you care about get through.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose PARiM as the app and New Employee Profile Created as the event, then select the PARiM connection you just added.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent profiles of your account, so you build the next steps on a real employee rather than a blank.
- 03
Add the filter
Add a Filter from the plus icon and set the field, the rule and the value. This makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan; skip it on the free one.
- 04
Add the action
Pick the app that should hear about the newcomer and its action, then map the name coming from PARiM into the message so the team knows who joined.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action, read what came back, then click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only profiles created after that moment will start it.
The PARiM trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in PARiM. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Employee Profile Created
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new employee is created.”
Starts the Zap each time a new employee profile is added in PARiM. From there, the newcomer can be announced, added to a staff spreadsheet, or set up in the other tools a new starter needs, all from one place where the profile already lives.
The PARiM action
PARiM gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Employee Profile
ActionIn Zapier“Creates employee profile.”
Writes a new employee into PARiM from data that started elsewhere, such as an application form or an HR tool, with first name, last name, email and the visa question filled in.
When a PARiM Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to PARiM, so the cases below come from Zapier's general rules and from the fields the action requires.
With only two operations, the failure points are few and easy to spot. If a Zap is already misbehaving, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the place to start.
Existing employees never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Profiles that were already in PARiM stay out, and moving that backlog is a separate job.One hire turns into dozens
New Employee Profile Created followed by Create Employee Profile writes where the trigger watches. Each new profile starts the Zap again, and tasks drain fast.Create Employee Profile keeps failing
The email already belongs to a profile in PARiM, or one of the required fields (first name, last name, email, visa question) arrived empty.A mass import is held back
When the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import of a whole team for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
