Overview

What the Peasy Sales Zapier integration does

The Peasy Sales Zapier integration links the contacts and inboxes of your sales messaging app to the rest of your stack of tools. A Zap (an automation built from one trigger and one or more actions) can start when a contact is created or updated in Peasy Sales, then send a message from one of your inboxes or push a contact in from another app.

A CRM that knows every new contact. New Contact can copy each contact created in Peasy Sales into the CRM or sheet your managers report from, so nobody exports lists by hand or retypes a name.

A first message that leaves on its own. Send Message posts from the inbox you select, so a lead captured by a web form or a booking tool can get a reply through Peasy Sales without a rep typing it.

One contact base, fed from everywhere. Create Contact adds a contact to Peasy Sales, or updates the existing one, from a form, an ads platform or another CRM.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up a contact or a conversation before acting, and nothing reads incoming messages. Inbox List, the third trigger, is checked on a timer, unlike the two contact triggers. Everything else stays inside Peasy Sales. Vocabulary

Zapier terms, one line each

Seven words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are once, in plain terms.

Zap
The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts a Zap, such as a new contact in Peasy Sales. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something, like sending a message from an inbox.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan counts those and nothing else.
Instant vs polling
An instant trigger is reported by the app when the event happens; a polling trigger is checked on a timer. Peasy Sales has two instant, one polling.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Peasy Sales account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that touches Peasy Sales.
Cost

What a Peasy Sales Zap costs

Peasy Sales is not reserved for paid plans: it works on the free plan.

  • TriggersNever cost a task
  • Successful actionCounted, one by one
  • Failed actionNot counted
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps

Triggers never cost a task, and Zapier checking Inbox List for news is free too. Each Send Message or Create Contact that goes through is counted on its own; one that fails is not. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only concerns Inbox List: New Contact and Update Contact are instant.

Connect

Connect Peasy Sales in three steps

  1. 01

Open Apps and add a connection

In Zapier, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog with a search box appears. You need a Peasy Sales account, plus access to any inbox or contact you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

Pick Peasy Sales and sign in

Search for Peasy Sales, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens: sign in with the account whose inboxes your Zaps should send from, not a rep's personal test login.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Peasy Sales asks you to let Zapier use the account. Accept. Every Peasy Sales step in every Zap then reuses this connection, so you do it once per account.

First Zap

Your first Zap: greet qualified new contacts

GoalEach new Peasy Sales contact that meets your condition gets a first message from the inbox you choose.

  1. 01

    Build: pick the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose Peasy Sales as the app and New Contact as the event, then select your Peasy Sales connection. The editor shows a lightning bolt: the trigger is instant.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you build the next steps on a real contact and see what it carries.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

From the plus icon, add a Filter step and set the field, the rule and the value. Pick the rule type that matches the data. The filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add Send Message

Add Peasy Sales with Send Message, select the inbox to send from and write the message, inserting values from the test contact. Test the step once and read what came back.

  5. 05

    Publish

When the test message looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only contacts created after that point will receive it.

Triggers

Peasy Sales triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in Peasy Sales, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Inbox List

Polling trigger

In Zapier“List of inbox name and channel_id”

Watches the list of inboxes in your Peasy Sales account, each with its name and channel identifier, and starts a Zap when Zapier finds one it has not seen before.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
a manager wants a note in the team channel each time a new inbox is set up for a market or a product line.
Watch out
it reports inboxes, not the messages inside them; nothing on Zapier reads incoming conversations.
2

New Contact

Instant trigger

In Zapier“When a new contact is created”

A contact created in Peasy Sales starts the Zap, which is the cleanest way to get every new prospect out of the messaging app and into your CRM, your sheet or your welcome sequence.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a rep adds a prospect after a call, and the account executive should see it in the CRM before the next meeting.
Watch out
contacts created before you publish the Zap are never sent through it.
3

Update Contact

Instant trigger

In Zapier“When a contact is updated”

Any edit to an existing contact can open a Zap, so a corrected phone number or a changed name follows the person into the other tools that hold a copy.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
your billing tool must carry the same customer details your reps edit in Peasy Sales.
Watch out
pairing it with Create Contact on the same account makes the Zap update the contact it was started by, and it can set itself off again and again.
Actions

Peasy Sales actions

Peasy Sales gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Send Message

Action

In Zapier“Send a message using the selected inbox.”

Sends a message from the inbox you pick in the step, with its text built from what earlier steps carried, so nobody on the team has to type it.

When to use it
a demo is booked in your calendar tool and the prospect should get a confirmation from the sales inbox.
Watch out
you must pick an inbox, so at least one has to exist in the connected account before you build the Zap.
2

Create Contact

Action

In Zapier“Add a new contact into your Peasy Sales account, or update an existing contact.”

Adds a contact to Peasy Sales, or updates it when it already exists, from data carried by an earlier step.

When to use it
leads from a landing-page form should be ready in Peasy Sales before a rep opens the conversation.
Watch out
Name and Phone Number are both required, and the same step updates a contact that already exists, so do not confuse it with the Update Contact trigger.
When it breaks

When a Peasy Sales Zap breaks

Zapier ties no help article to Peasy Sales, so the cases below are the general limits that apply to any Zap built on it.

None of them shows up as an error in Peasy Sales. They show up as a message never sent, a contact missing from the CRM, or a task count climbing too fast. When you are stuck, start from the Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • The contact loop

Update Contact or New Contact followed by Create Contact on the same account writes where the trigger watches. The Zap sets itself off again and burns tasks.
  • No catch-up on the past

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Contacts and inboxes created before you publish never go through it; moving them is a separate job.
  • Flood protection after a bulk import

Importing a big contact file at once can make a trigger return a huge batch. Zapier may hold it back instead of running every contact through the Zap.
  • Inbox List counts each inbox once

Zapier remembers which inboxes it has already seen on this polling trigger, so the same inbox does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

Peasy Sales Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Peasy Sales Zapier integration free?
Yes, within limits. Peasy Sales is not reserved for paid plans, so it runs on the Zapier free plan. That plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger and one action. New Contact followed by Send Message fits. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Prices move too often to quote here, so check the plans table on zapier.com before you commit.
02How many tasks does a Peasy Sales Zap use?
Only completed actions are billed. A new or updated contact costs nothing, and neither does Zapier checking Inbox List. Each Send Message or Create Contact that goes through is counted; one that fails is not. With several actions, every successful one counts on its own, so a Zap that adds a contact and then sends a message spends two tasks per run. The contact loop is the quickest way to burn the 100 tasks of the free plan.
03Is Peasy Sales on Zapier real time?
For contacts, yes. New Contact and Update Contact are instant triggers: Peasy Sales reports the event to Zapier itself, so the Zap starts right away on every plan, and the editor shows a lightning bolt. Inbox List is different. It is a polling trigger, checked every 15 minutes on the free plan, every 2 on Professional and every minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also run that check by hand from the editor.
04What does connecting Peasy Sales to Zapier require?
A Peasy Sales account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch. The steps start on the Apps page of Zapier: + Add connection, search Peasy Sales, sign in on the tab that opens, then grant access. Check the account side before building. Send Message needs an inbox to send from, and Create Contact needs a name and a phone number for every contact.
05Create Contact or Update Contact: what is the difference?
One is an action, the other a trigger, and their names overlap in a confusing way. They are two different operations: the trigger fires when a contact changes in Peasy Sales, the action adds a contact or updates the existing one. Mixing them up is how people build the contact loop by accident. In the editor, read the full label and whether you are choosing a trigger or an action.
06What if the Peasy Sales operation you need is missing?
Then it is not in the catalog, and no setting will reveal it. Zapier shows five Peasy Sales operations: Inbox List, New Contact and Update Contact as triggers, Send Message and Create Contact as actions. There is no search and no trigger for incoming messages. Two ways forward: handle that part in Peasy Sales itself, or let a Peasy Sales trigger pass the data to another app that has the missing action. Recheck the app page on zapier.com before each new build.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Peasy Sales?
Choose on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier the facts for Peasy Sales are clear: two instant contact triggers that fire right away on every plan, one polling trigger on inboxes, two actions, no search, and a free plan capped at two-step Zaps and 100 tasks a month. If your workflow is one trigger and one action, Zapier covers it as is. If you need conditions or a chain of actions, you are on a paid plan anyway: compare what each platform offers for Peasy Sales then.
