Overview

What the Persuite Plus Zapier integration is for

Persuite Plus is a CRM: the place where a sales team follows each prospect, from the first contact to the won deal, with quotes and tasks along the way. The integration lets Zapier react to what happens inside that CRM and add new leads to it from elsewhere. Most of the value sits on the trigger side: seven events, against a single action.

Three outcomes show what it does well. A win announcement: Lead Won starts a Zap when a deal closes, so the next step can tell the team, open an onboarding file or alert billing. A sales-to-delivery handover: New Quotation and New Task let the people who prepare a quote or carry out a task hear about it outside the CRM. A lead inbox fed from outside: Create Lead drops a lead into Persuite Plus from a form, an ad tool or a spreadsheet.

Where it stops: there is no search, so a Zap cannot check whether a lead already exists before creating it. There is no action to update a lead, close a task or create a quotation; the only write is Create Lead. Zapier also marks the app as beta, which means its list of operations can still move. And nothing recorded before the Zap goes live is replayed.

If you are still picking a tool, the Make vs Zapier and n8n vs Zapier comparisons are a good starting point.

Vocabulary

Seven Zapier words worth knowing first

The page leans on a handful of Zapier terms. Each one is explained once, here.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event comes in.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. With the Zap switched on, Zapier sits and waits for that event.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something in your place.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan is a number of tasks.
Instant vs polling trigger
Instant: the app reports the event to Zapier itself, on the spot. Polling: Zapier asks the app for news at a fixed interval.
Filter
A step that lets the rest of the Zap run only when the data that arrived meets your condition, and halts it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap with more than one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Persuite Plus Zap really costs

Only completed actions cost anything. None of the seven Persuite Plus triggers uses a task, even on a busy sales day.

  • Any Persuite Plus trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Filter or second actionPaid plan

A won deal that goes on to one action costs 1 task; with three actions, three. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Put a filter in, or a second action, and you need a paid plan. The interval grid below only governs polling triggers, and Persuite Plus has none, so every one of its triggers fires straight away on any plan.

Connect

Connect Persuite Plus to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Start from the Apps page

Open the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. You need a Persuite Plus account, plus access to any records you do not own but want the Zap to read or write.

  2. 02

    Find Persuite Plus

In the dialog, search for Persuite Plus by name, select it in the list, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Persuite Plus side for the sign-in.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Persuite Plus in that tab and allow Zapier to access the account. The connection is saved once and reused by every Persuite Plus step in all your Zaps.

First Zap

Your first Zap: announce the deals that matter

GoalWhen a lead is won in Persuite Plus and meets your condition, a message lands in the sales channel.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Persuite Plus as the app and Lead Won as the event, then select the Persuite Plus connection you just added in the previous section.

  2. 02

    Test on a real deal

Run the test. Zapier pulls back the three most recent won leads of the connected account, so you can map the next steps on a real one.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Use the plus icon to add Filter, then set the field to check, the rule and the value. This makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the message

Add Slack as the next app, pick the action that posts to a channel, and map the won lead's details into the message text.

  5. 05

    Test and publish

Test the action once and read what came back. When it looks right, click Publish. From now on, each qualifying won deal posts on its own.

Triggers

Persuite Plus triggers

7 events start a Zap when something happens in Persuite Plus, and 7 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Lead Won

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is won”

Fires when a lead in your CRM is marked as won, and hands that deal to the rest of your Zap. It is the event that turns a sale into everything that should follow it.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a web agency that opens a kickoff checklist in its project tool every time a proposal is signed.
Watch out
deals won before you publish the Zap are not replayed, so the backlog needs a separate pass.
2

New Campaign

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new campaign is created.”

Each time someone creates a campaign in Persuite Plus, this trigger passes it to Zapier. Useful when campaigns are planned in the CRM but run or reported somewhere else.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a marketing lead who wants a row in the team's campaign calendar for every campaign set up in the CRM.
Watch out
it reacts to creation only, so later edits to that campaign will not start the Zap again.
3

New Lead

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created.”

Starts the Zap whenever a new lead appears in your Persuite Plus account, whichever way it got there. This is the broadest of the seven, since leads are what the CRM revolves around.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
an insurance broker who wants each fresh lead pushed to the advisor on call so nobody waits for a callback.
Watch out
a lead created by your own Zap through Create Lead counts too, which is how loops start.
4

New Quotation

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new quotation is created.”

A quotation drafted in the CRM becomes the starting point of a Zap. It lets the people downstream of sales hear about a quote without opening Persuite Plus.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a manufacturer whose production planner needs to see every new quote to check capacity early.
Watch out
a new quotation is not an accepted one; if only signed deals matter, Lead Won is the better start.
5

New Task

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new task created”

Whenever a task is added in Persuite Plus, Zapier receives it and your Zap takes over. Good for teams whose to-do list lives in another tool than the CRM.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a sales rep who wants each follow-up task created in the CRM to show up in a personal task app.
Watch out
completing or editing the task later is a different event, covered by Update Task.
6

Updated Lead

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when the already existing lead updates inside your CRM account.”

Reacts when an existing lead changes inside your CRM account, not when a new one arrives. That makes it the trigger for keeping other tools in step with the CRM.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a customer-success manager who mirrors lead changes into a shared spreadsheet the whole team reads.
Watch out
a busy lead edited several times starts the Zap each time, so a filter may be worth its paid plan.
7

Update Task

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when modify the task.”

Any change to a task that already exists starts this one. Pair it with New Task and the same task can be followed from birth to the last change.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
an operations manager who wants a note in the team channel whenever someone reassigns or changes a task.
Watch out
every edit counts as an update, so expect the Zap to run more often than tasks actually close.
Actions

Persuite Plus actions

Persuite Plus gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Lead

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new lead inside your CRM account”

Adds a new lead to your Persuite Plus account, usually filled with details an earlier step carried in, such as a form reply or an ad sign-up.

When to use it
leads come in through a website form and should land in the CRM without anyone retyping them.
Watch out
it creates without checking for duplicates, and each success uses 1 task.
When it breaks

When a Persuite Plus Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Persuite Plus and lists no limit of its own for it. The failures you will meet come from Zapier's general rules.

Three cases explain most bad surprises with this CRM. For anything else, start from our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • The Zap keeps restarting itself

New Lead watching the same account that Create Lead writes into means each created lead starts the Zap again, and your task count drains fast.
  • Older leads and deals never arrive

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads, quotes and tasks that already existed are not picked up; moving them is a separate job.
  • A bulk import stalls

If a mass import suddenly floods a trigger with a huge batch, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running every one.

FAQ

Persuite Plus and Zapier: frequent questions

01Is the Persuite Plus Zapier integration free?
Yes. Zapier does not reserve Persuite Plus for paid plans, so a free account can connect it and run Zaps. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and limits each Zap to two steps, one trigger and one action. Lead Won followed by one message fits inside that. If you want a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. Note that Zapier marks the app as beta.
02How many tasks does a Persuite Plus Zap use?
One per successful action, and none for the trigger. Whichever of the seven Persuite Plus triggers starts the Zap, the trigger itself is free. A Zap with one action costs 1 task each time it runs to the end; a Zap with three actions costs three. A failed action is not counted. The real risk is volume: Updated Lead and Update Task can fire on every edit, and a New Lead plus Create Lead loop can spend your month quickly.
03Are Persuite Plus triggers real time?
Yes, all seven are instant triggers. Persuite Plus tells Zapier the moment an event happens, and the Zap starts straight away. The plan intervals, 15 minutes on Free and 1 minute on Team and Enterprise, only apply to polling triggers, so they do not slow this app down. A free account gets the same speed here as a paid one. In the editor, a Zap built on an instant trigger shows a lightning bolt.
04What does it take to connect Persuite Plus to Zapier?
A Persuite Plus account and a Zapier account, plus access to any records you do not own but want the Zap to touch. The connection takes three moves: open the Apps page in Zapier and add a connection, pick Persuite Plus in the dialog, then sign in to the CRM in the new tab and grant Zapier access. After that, every Persuite Plus step in every Zap reuses the same connection.
05Why does a Persuite Plus Zap keep creating leads on its own?
Because it is triggering itself. If New Lead watches the account that Create Lead writes into, every lead the Zap creates is a new lead, so the Zap starts again and creates another. Zapier keeps going until the task count runs dry or you turn the Zap off. Fix it by never pairing those two operations on the same account, or by adding a filter that lets through only leads coming from outside, which needs a paid plan.
06What if the Persuite Plus operation you need does not exist?
Then Zapier cannot do it for Persuite Plus today. The list is seven triggers and one action, Create Lead, with no search, no update and no delete. Since the app is marked beta, the list may still change, so it is worth checking the app page again later. In the meantime, the usual workaround is to let a Persuite Plus trigger start the Zap and do the missing work in the app on the receiving side.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Persuite Plus?
Choose by criteria, not by ranking. On Zapier, Persuite Plus offers seven instant triggers and one create action, and runs on the free plan inside two-step Zaps. If your need is to react to CRM events, that covers a lot. If you need to update leads, tasks or quotations, compare the Persuite Plus operations each tool lists before committing, and count how many steps your Zap needs against each tool's plans.
