What is the best Shopify review app in 2026?
The one that collects photo reviews without your bill jumping the month your sales take off.
A review app asks your customer for a review after the order, collects their photos or video, then shows it all on your product page and in Google. Dozens of apps on the Shopify App Store do this. The real difference shows up elsewhere: what you pay at 500 or 1,500 orders a month, and what actually reaches Google.
Short answer: Yotpo is the most complete for a growing brand that runs Google Ads. Judge.me is our default pick: free with no cap, or a flat $15 a month at any volume. Okendo suits brands that want Q&A on product pages. REVIEWS.io gets you Google seller ratings from $19. Loox is still the photo review app, Stamped holds up past 1,000 orders, and Fera is the cheapest paid plan.
We compared the plans and features listed on each app's official App Store page, then read merchants' one-star reviews. And we did the math most roundups skip: what each app costs at 200, 500 and 1,500 orders a month.
Rankings are editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

Which app for which store
Small or new store
- Under 200 orders a month: Judge.me free, then $15 for Google Shopping.
- Fashion or beauty catalog that sells on photos: Loox, free up to 500 orders.
- Tight budget but you need Q&A: Fera from $9.
Established brand
- You run Google Ads: Yotpo Pro or REVIEWS.io Launch for seller ratings.
- 200 to 1,500 orders with product questions: Okendo Growth.
- Past 1,000 orders, everything included: Stamped.
How we compared and scored
Many top results for this search come from an app vendor that ranks itself first, or list prices that are years out of date (Loox at $9.99, Stamped free). None of them works out what an app costs once your orders climb, even though that is the first complaint merchants post on the App Store.
We read each app's official Shopify App Store listing: plans, limits and features by plan. Then we read one-star reviews and merchant threads. An app only makes the ranking if its price is listed on an official page. Ryviu is out because its listing is no longer available on the App Store. Junip, Growave and Feefo are out because we could not read their current prices on an official page. Trustpilot is out too: it collects reviews of your brand, not your products.
The five criteria weigh the same because that is the grid behind every review on the Labs, which keeps an app's score identical across the site. Stamped's score comes from our full review, the others from our other rankings.

Yotpo
Yotpo Reviews covers the whole life of a review: the automatic request after purchase, moderation (a filter catches profanity and flags sentiment), display on the product page, then syndication to Google. The Free plan gets you started up to 50 orders a month, with requests and email templates.
Starter, from $15 a month, adds photo and video collection, Google rich snippets and review ratings in Google Shopping. Pro, from $119, adds seller ratings: the store stars shown under your Google Ads. It also brings custom questions and an AI summary of reviews.
The catch is the price curve. Starter climbs to $89 a month at 500 orders, Pro to $169. One-star App Store reviews mention mostly automated support, annual contracts pushed with add-ons, and empty CSV exports when merchants tried to leave. Yotpo can also bill some fees outside your Shopify invoice.
- Google Ads seller ratings on Pro
- Google Shopping from Starter
- Reviews and loyalty from one vendor
- ✓Free plan to get started
- ✓Yearly billing cheaper than monthly
- ✓4.8 out of 5 from 4,600+ App Store reviews
- ✗$89 a month at 500 orders on Starter
- ✗Interface in English only
- ✗Exporting reviews is hard, merchants say
The most complete pick for a brand that runs Google Ads and plans to add loyalty. Below 500 orders a month, Judge.me does most of the job for far less. Yotpo ranks first because it covers the most ground (reviews, seller ratings, loyalty); Judge.me stays our default pick because most small stores don't need all of that.
Judge.me
Judge.me is the app merchants recommend most often in Shopify threads, and its numbers explain why. The Free plan has no end date: unlimited reviews, unlimited photos and videos, carousels, Google rich snippets, review imports, and sync with Etsy, Amazon and the Shop app.
Awesome costs a flat $15 a month. It adds AI (replies, summaries, translations), 130+ integrations including Klaviyo and Gorgias, and the Google Shopping feed. The app also collects reviews in your customer's language, handy if you ship to Canada or Europe.
The limits: the Google Shopping feed needs at least 50 eligible reviews, and imported AliExpress reviews stay out of it. Some merchants find settings hard to locate (reminder delay, request link). Review images are hosted in the US.
- Free plan with no cap on reviews or orders
- Flat $15 a month on Awesome
- Collects reviews in the customer's language
- ✓Cheapest in the ranking at any volume
- ✓Imports reviews from Yotpo, Loox, Amazon and Etsy
- ✓5.0 out of 5 from 49,000+ App Store reviews
- ✗Google Shopping on Awesome only, from 50 reviews
- ✗Scattered settings
- ✗Imported AliExpress reviews kept out of Google Shopping
Our default pick for a Shopify store. Start free, move to $15 the day you want Google Shopping, and your bill stops moving.
Okendo
Okendo targets brands that care about their product pages. Even on the free plan you get automated emails, the review form, a rewards engine for reviews and Google stars. Photo and video are part of the product, along with review import and export.
The plan that matters is Growth, at $119 a month up to 1,500 orders. It adds a Q&A widget on product pages, AI summaries and keywords, and TikTok Shop sync. Okendo plugs into 50+ tools, including Klaviyo, Shop and Walmart.
The limit is on the price grid: Essential stops at 200 orders. At order 201 you go from $19 to $119 a month. The interface is English only, and the listing does not name Google Shopping: ask before you count on it.
- Q&A on Growth
- Rewards for reviews from the free plan
- 50+ integrations
- ✓Growth covers 1,500 orders at a flat price
- ✓Yearly billing is cheaper
- ✓4.8 out of 5 from 1,400+ App Store reviews
- ✗Jump from $19 to $119 past 200 orders
- ✗English-only interface
- ✗Google Shopping not named on the listing
Strong between 500 and 1,500 orders a month, where Growth stays flat. Between 200 and 500, the jump is hard to justify.
REVIEWS.io
REVIEWS.io collects two kinds of reviews at once: product reviews and store reviews (merchant reviews). That matters because Google Ads shows seller ratings based on store reviews. The free plan gives you 25 invitations a month, with photo, video, Klaviyo and the Shop app.
Launch, at $19 a month, adds seller ratings and Google rich snippets. Nobody else in this ranking offers them at that price. Launch Plus, at $45, goes up to 500 invitations and adds Q&A, surveys, NPS and an AI summary. In merchant threads, people like its dynamic review blocks inside Klaviyo browse-abandonment emails.
The limit: the counter tracks invitations, not orders. Past 500 a month, the listing shows no plan. Some fees can be billed outside your Shopify invoice.
- Product and store reviews in one app
- Seller ratings from $19
- Q&A at $45
- ✓Cheapest Google Ads stars in the ranking
- ✓Good Klaviyo integration
- ✓4.7 out of 5 from nearly 800 App Store reviews
- ✗No listed plan past 500 invitations
- ✗Possible fees outside Shopify billing
- ✗Counts invitations, so plan for every order
The right pick if you run Google Ads and want seller stars without paying for Yotpo Pro. At high volume, ask for a quote.
Loox
Loox built its name on photo reviews. The free plan covers 500 orders: request emails, a discount offered for a photo review, 17+ display widgets and Google stars. Widgets and emails translate into 38 languages out of the box.
Video reviews start on Convert, at $49.99 a month. It also adds AI, bundle reviews, referrals and syndication to Google, Meta and TikTok.
The trap is usage billing. Convert includes 300 orders, then every extra 300 costs $50 more. On the App Store, merchants describe a month billed at $399.99 instead of $49.99, and marketplace orders counted against the quota. Past roughly 1,500 orders, Unlimited at $299.99 becomes the plan to take.
- Automatic discount for a photo review
- Widgets and emails in 38 languages
- Google, Meta and TikTok syndication on Convert
- ✓Free up to 500 orders
- ✓Polished photo display
- ✓4.9 out of 5 from 10,000+ App Store reviews
- ✗Video on paid plans only
- ✗$50 more per extra 300 orders
- ✗No product Q&A
Excellent while you stay on Free or on Unlimited. In between, watch your order counter every month, or look at Judge.me, which does video for $0.
Stamped
Stamped keeps its grid simple: all four plans have the same features, only the order count changes. From $23 a month you get review requests inside the email, photo and video, Q&A, Google Shopping, Meta and Shop sync, plus Klaviyo, Attentive, Omnisend and Gorgias integrations. Migration from another app is free.
The problem is order 201. You go from $23 to $99 a month, more than four times the price. Higher up, the cost per order drops: $199 for 5,000, $399 for 20,000.
One-star reviews point to the free plan that was dropped, slow widgets, silent support and direct billing that kept running after uninstall. A 5,000-review import cap also bothers large stores coming from another app.
- Every feature from $23
- Q&A and Google Shopping included
- Free migration
- ✓Low cost per order past 1,000
- ✓No commitment, billed every 30 days
- ✓4.7 out of 5 from 3,700+ App Store reviews
- ✗Jump from $23 to $99 past 200 orders
- ✗No free plan anymore
- ✗Direct billing to cancel separately
Worth it past 1,000 orders a month, when everything is included for $99 to $399. Between 200 and 1,000, others do as much for less.
Fera
Fera has no free plan, but its first plan costs $9 a month up to 200 orders. It already includes unlimited reviews, photo and video, Q&A, AI and unlimited users. Small, at $29, goes up to 2,000 orders: the best price in the ranking at that volume after Judge.me.
Fera collects reviews by email, SMS, push notification, on-site pop-up and QR code (handy on a package insert or in a physical store). It imports your old reviews and connects to Etsy, AliExpress, Google, Klaviyo and Smile.io.
The limit: a smaller app, English only, with fewer integrations than Yotpo or Okendo. The listing does promise reviews in Google Search and Shopping, but not seller ratings: if you need stars under your Google Ads, this is not your app.
- Q&A from $9
- Collection by SMS and QR code
- 30-day trial
- ✓$29 a month up to 2,000 orders
- ✓Unlimited users
- ✓4.8 out of 5 from 2,000+ App Store reviews
- ✗No free plan
- ✗English-only interface
- ✗No seller ratings on the listing
A good plan B to Judge.me if you want Q&A without paying for Okendo Growth. If seller ratings under your Google Ads matter, take REVIEWS.io Launch.
What you'll pay at 200, 500 and 1,500 orders
Almost every app here counts your orders, or your invitations, each month. So the entry price says nothing about your bill a year from now. Here is the math, per month, for a store that requests a review on every order.
At 200 orders a month
At 500 orders a month
At 1,500 orders a month
Hidden costs
- Size your plan on your best month, not your average.
- Check whether the app counts orders or invitations sent.
- Ask whether Amazon or TikTok Shop orders count toward the quota.
- Write down anything billed outside your Shopify invoice.
Which plan unlocks which feature
The features that sell are often parked on the second or third plan. Here is the cheapest plan that unlocks each one.
Review ratings in Google Shopping
Seller ratings in Google Ads
Q&A on product pages
Video reviews
- Your Google Merchant Center account is active before you turn on the review feed.
- Running Google Ads? You need store reviews.
- Selling a technical or sized product? Q&A matters.
Collect reviews without breaking FTC rules
The FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials targets fake reviews, review suppression and incentives tied to a rating. Courts can impose civil penalties for knowing violations. Your app does part of the work, not all of it.
No reward tied to a rating
No fake or bought reviews
No pressure on critics
Show the bad with the good
- Your review request offers the same reward for any rating.
- Staff and family do not post reviews.
- Imported reviews are labeled as imported.
- Low ratings stay visible in your widgets.

The tips
Size your plan on your best month
TrapAt Stamped, review requests stop when you hit your limit. On Loox Convert, every extra 300 orders adds $50. A Black Friday you did not plan for costs you either reviews or a surprise bill. Move up a tier before the peak, then move back down.

- your November
Time the request to delivery
SettingA request sent before the package arrives gets few replies. Set the first email a few days after delivery, then one reminder. In Judge.me, that setting is well hidden: find it on day one.
- Reminders
- one
Offer a small discount for a photo
ConversionLoox and Okendo reward photo reviews with a discount code, even on their free plans. A discount on the next order, for any review with a photo, gets you visual content and a returning customer. Never tie it to a good rating: the FTC rule bans that.
- Plans
- free at Loox and Okendo
Put reviews in your flow emails
TipMerchants drop review blocks into their Klaviyo browse-abandonment emails with REVIEWS.io or Judge.me Awesome. The shopper sees the product they looked at, with another buyer's review right below it.

- Klaviyo
Export your reviews every quarter
TrapSome Yotpo merchants describe empty CSV exports the day they tried to leave. Export once in a while and open the file. The day you switch apps, your reviews belong to you, not the vendor.
- How often
- every 3 months
Pay only for features you use
BudgetIt is the advice that comes up most in merchant threads: an expensive app does not always convert better. List the three features you need (photo, Google Shopping, Q&A?), then take the cheapest plan that has them.

Shopify review apps · FAQ
What is the best free review app for Shopify?
Judge.me. Its Free plan has no cap on reviews or orders and includes photo reviews, video reviews and Google rich snippets. Loox is free up to 500 orders, Yotpo and Okendo up to 50 orders a month. Judge.me is the only one that stays free as your store grows. Is Judge.me better than Loox?
For most stores, yes. Judge.me gives you photo and video reviews for $0 and Google Shopping for a flat $15 a month. Loox wins on photo display and its photo-for-discount flow, but video starts on Convert at $49.99 a month and the bill climbs $50 for every extra 300 orders. How do I get review stars on Google?
There are three different places. Stars under your organic result come from rich snippets, included even on the free plans of Judge.me, Loox and Okendo. Stars on Google Shopping listings need a review feed (Judge.me Awesome, Yotpo Starter, Stamped). Seller ratings under Google Ads need store reviews (REVIEWS.io Launch, Yotpo Pro). Can I import AliExpress or Amazon reviews to Shopify?
Technically yes: Judge.me and Fera both import them. But Judge.me keeps imported AliExpress reviews out of its Google Shopping feed, and they were not written by your customers. Label them clearly as imported, or leave them out.Is it legal to offer a discount for a review?
Yes, as long as the reward does not depend on the review being positive. The FTC rule on consumer reviews bans incentives that ask for, or imply, a positive or negative review. Offer the same discount for any photo review, one star or five. How do I switch Shopify review apps without losing reviews?
Export all your reviews to CSV first and open the file: some Yotpo merchants found it empty. Judge.me imports straight from Yotpo and Loox, and Stamped offers free migration. Uninstall the old app only once the new one displays every review.Does uninstalling a review app stop the billing?
Not always. Stamped, Yotpo and REVIEWS.io can bill part of the plan directly, outside your Shopify invoice. Cancel in the vendor's own account first, get a written confirmation, then uninstall. Is Trustpilot a good product review app for Shopify?
Not for product reviews. The Trustpilot app is built for reviews of your brand. Its free plan caps at 50 invitations a month and Starter costs $1,188 a year. If you want product and store reviews in one app, REVIEWS.io costs far less.Does Shopify's free Product Reviews app still exist?
No. Its Shopify App Store page says it is not currently available. For a free replacement, Judge.me is the easiest move: its Free plan has no cap and imports your old reviews.
