Blinq alternatives: where to go, and how to keep your contacts and QR codes

Six destinations in detail, one per reason to leave, and a seven-step switching plan.

The short answer: HiHello if you want a branded card for less ($72 a year against $88 on Blinq) or run a team of 5 to 100, Wave Connect if your team is 3 or 4 people or you capture a lot of leads at events, Popl if your team lives at trade shows and wants a flat license, Mobilo if price comes first, V1CE if what you really want is a premium physical card paid once, and Unitag vCard Pro if you need a European vendor billing in euros. One thing before you cancel: downgrading Blinq to Free keeps the cards you already created, so your printed QR codes keep working while you switch. We compared these six destinations and checked their prices in 2026.

The real reasons

Why people leave Blinq, and what keeps them

Blinq is a good app: quick setup, sharing by QR, link, Wallet or NFC, and the 4.4 out of 5 we give it in our digital business card comparison. People rarely leave because of the card itself. They leave over event bills, the price of the first paid plan, and small frictions that add up. Six reasons, all checked in 2026.

Every lead you capture at an event is billed

Lead Capture Mode on the Business plan costs $9.99 per captured and enriched lead (one credit). It drops to 0.75 credit when Blinq adds no email or phone number, and duplicates are free. You're billed monthly, in arrears. Do the math: 200 badges scanned at one show is up to about $2,000 on top of your subscription, and many teams only notice on the next invoice.

The first paid plan costs more than the rest

Premium is $9.99 a month, or $7.33 a month billed yearly ($88 a year). HiHello Professional is $72 a year, Wave Pro $84, Mobilo Pro $36. For a freelancer who just wants a card in their own colors, the gap shows up in year one.

Your brand sits behind the paywall

The free plan gives you two cards and unlimited sharing, but custom colors, your logo in the QR code and removing Blinq branding all need Premium. A free card is still a Blinq card, which is awkward when you hand it to a client.

Recipients sometimes get pushed to the app

It's the most common complaint in negative reviews: the person scanning your card gets prompted to download Blinq or make their own card. Blinq says the app isn't needed to save your contact, which is true, but the prompt alone is enough to annoy a busy prospect.

A team of two or three pays for five cards

Business costs $4.99 per card per month billed yearly ($6.99 monthly), with a 5-card minimum. A team of 3 pays at least $24.95 a month. Wave Connect Teams starts at 3 users at $5 each, so $15 a month.

Support worries a slice of users

Average ratings stay very high, but the complaints rhyme: contacts gone after an app update, a cancel button nobody can find, slow replies from support. These are minority cases. They matter when your event leads are next quarter's pipeline.

The 6 alternatives

Blinq alternatives, one by one

For each tool: why move to it, who it's for, its limit, how to switch from Blinq, and its 2026 price. Scores come from our digital business card comparison and are the same on every page we publish.

01

HiHello: the closest thing to Blinq, for a bit less

Our default pick

Why move to HiHello. It's the app closest to Blinq and the top score in our comparison (4.5 out of 5). You keep card sharing by QR, link or Wallet, a paper card scanner and email signatures. The difference is the bill: Professional is $72 a year ($6 a month, $8 month to month) for 8 cards, against $88 a year for 5 cards on Blinq Premium.

Who it's for. Freelancers who want a branded card, and teams of 5 to 100: Business is $5 per user per month billed yearly ($6 monthly), with native Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics connections, just like Blinq.

Who it's not for. A team of 2 or 3: like Blinq, Business needs at least 5 users.

Its limit. Paper card scans are capped: 5 a month on Free, 20 on Professional. If you digitize stacks of cards after every event, you'll hit that fast.

How to switch. Export your Blinq contacts to CSV, rebuild your cards, then import the contacts into your CRM rather than into HiHello, since that's where they work for you. For a team, use the 14-day Business trial to set everything up before your Blinq term ends.

Wave Connect: built for small teams and events

Small teams

Why move to Wave Connect. It fixes the two pain points that cost the most on Blinq. Team size first: Teams starts at 3 users at $5 each per month billed yearly, instead of a 5-card minimum. Events second: capture runs on credits at $2.50, valid for 12 months. A badge scan costs 4 credits ($10), about the same as Blinq, but a lead captured from your card or a form costs one credit, $2.50.

Who it's for. Small sales teams that go to events and work in Pipedrive, Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics or HighLevel: CRM sync is included at no extra fee.

Who it's not for. A team that mostly scans badges: at $10 a badge, you save nothing over Blinq. Get visitors to scan your card or fill your form instead.

Its limit. Support gets the lowest score in our comparison (3.5 out of 5), and Wave publishes its own comparisons where it ranks itself first: read its claims with that in mind.

How to switch. Load your Blinq CSV into your CRM, connect Wave to the same CRM, rebuild the cards. If you want an NFC card, Wave's costs $23 and works with the free account.

Popl: for teams that live at trade shows

Events

Why move to Popl. Because it doesn't bill per lead. Popl sells teams a license with no per-seat price and no credits: once the contract is signed, scanning 50 badges or 2,000 doesn't change the invoice. For a team on the trade show circuit, that's the exact opposite of Blinq's model.

Who it's for. Marketing and sales teams doing several shows a year with a CRM at the center. Team pricing is by quote, after a demo.

Who it's not for. Solo users and small teams: the team price only comes after a demo and targets company budgets.

Its limit. No public team pricing, so you can't compare without talking to sales. Ask for the quote before your next Blinq renewal, not after.

How to switch. Show up to the demo with two numbers: your card count and how many leads you captured last year (your Blinq invoices have them). That's your best negotiating base.

Mobilo: the cheapest digital card

Budget

Why move to Mobilo. Price. The digital card is free, Pro is $3 a month ($36 a year, less than half of Blinq Premium), Teams $4 per member per month billed yearly and Business $5. Mobilo also sells physical cards, priced separately.

Who it's for. Freelancers and small teams who want a clean card in their own colors without paying for event features they never use. Integrations go through Zapier.

Who it's not for. Teams that want to capture and enrich leads in bulk: Mobilo has no equivalent of Blinq's event mode.

Its limit. Its value-for-money score of 3.8 out of 5 in our comparison comes from physical cards, which add to the subscription.

How to switch. Rebuild your card, then set up Zapier between Mobilo and your CRM so new contacts land in the right place. Keep your Blinq export as an archive.

V1CE: a premium physical card, paid once

Physical card

Why move to V1CE. If what you love is handing over a great NFC card, that's V1CE's whole business: cards from $82, paid once, and the core software stays free. No subscription to renew for a card that just works.

Who it's for. Founders and sales reps for whom the card is part of their image, and teams that want metal or engraved wood.

Who it's not for. Teams that mainly want lead capture: the dedicated offer, Client Capture OS, costs $64.98 a month.

Its limit. Software features and integrations are the thinnest in our selection (3.2 out of 5 for integrations).

How to switch. Order the cards before you cancel Blinq: between order and delivery, your old free card keeps doing the job.

Unitag vCard Pro: the European option, in euros

European

Why move to Unitag. It's the only European vendor on this page, based in Toulouse, France, with prices in euros: €2.80 per card per month (€33.60 a year), €2.09 from 25 cards, and a custom quote from 500 cards. The price per card is the same whether you have 1 or 24: no 5-seat minimum.

Who it's for. Companies with EU teams that want euro invoices, a European vendor and, on Enterprise, single sign-on (SSO) and bulk card creation.

Who it's not for. Teams that live in HubSpot or Salesforce: integrations are Unitag's weak spot (3.6 out of 5 in our comparison).

Its limit. After the 14-day trial you pay for every card, and the volume discount only starts at 25 cards.

How to switch. Build a spreadsheet with one row per employee (name, title, phone, email, link) from your Blinq export: that's what speeds up bulk creation.

Switching plan

Leaving Blinq in seven steps

Order matters. Each step protects something: your contacts, the cards already out there, your last invoice.

01

List everything that points to Blinq

Day 1

Write down everything that leads to Blinq: each team member's card, printed QR codes (paper cards, booths, posters, brochures), NFC cards, email signatures (if you're changing signature tools too, see our WiseStamp alternatives), virtual backgrounds, the CRM connection, event qualification forms.

Why? Because a QR code you forgot on a booth banner will keep sending people to a card you no longer manage.

Time
about an hour
Risk if rushed

02

Export contacts, and rescue personal ones

Critical

In the dashboard, open All company contacts, then Export contacts and Download CSV. Only Owners and Admins can do it. Watch out: each member's personal contacts aren't visible to the team and aren't in this export. Ask everyone to save theirs before the switch.

Blinq doesn't describe CSV export the same way everywhere, and it depends on your plan: run it before you change plans, never after.

03

Rebuild the cards at your new app

Rebuild cards from the export: name, title, phone, email, links, photo. For a team, set one template (colors, logo, required fields) before inviting people, or everyone will redo theirs their own way.

Order
team template first
04

Reconnect the CRM before your next event

Connect the new app to your CRM and run a check: scan your own card and confirm the record arrives with the right source and owner. Rebuild your event qualification questions. An event with a broken connection means a pile of contacts to type in by hand.

If the CRM is changing too, settle that first: our CRM comparison, our HubSpot and Pipedrive reviews, and our Salesforce alternatives help you pick before reconnecting the cards.

05

Downgrade Blinq to Free instead of closing it

The trick

Downgrading to Free keeps the cards you already created, so your Blinq QR codes and NFC cards still open an up-to-date card. Add the link to your new card on it: anyone scanning old material lands with you, not on a dead page. Keep this bridge as long as old material is in circulation.

06

Replace printed material as you go

Reprint QR codes with your next card or booth order, not all at once. For Blinq NFC cards, don't plan on reprogramming them: budget for new cards from your new app.

For booth and poster QR codes, a dynamic QR generator saves you a reprint every time you change tools: see our Uniqode review, its pricing, its alternatives and our URL shortener and QR code comparison.

Order
booths and posters first
07

Cancel in the right place, at the right time

Last day

If you paid on the website, cancel in the dashboard under Manage Subscriptions. If you paid in the app, cancel in the App Store or Google Play, not at Blinq; with Apple, at least 24 hours before renewal. And set aside the last month's cost: captured leads are billed the following month.

Switching pitfalls

What makes a Blinq exit go wrong

The same mistakes keep showing up in reviews and forums. None is hard to avoid, as long as you know them in advance.

Closing the account instead of downgrading

A closed account means printed QR codes that lead nowhere. The free plan keeps your cards and costs nothing: it's your bridge.

Forgetting personal contacts

The team export leaves out each member's personal contacts. A rep who leaves Blinq without saving them loses their address book.

Cancelling in the wrong place

A subscription bought in the app is cancelled with Apple or Google. Hunting for it inside Blinq is one of the most frequent complaints, and the renewal goes through meanwhile.

Comparing plans without counting leads

For a team that does events, captured leads often cost more than the cards. Compare the cost of a typical show, not just the price per card.

Switching the week before a show

A CRM connection nobody has checked and half-built cards: switch at least two weeks before your next event.

Forgetting signatures and backgrounds

Email signatures and video backgrounds managed by Blinq keep showing the old QR code. Replace them the same day as the cards.

  • Inventory of cards, printed QR codes, NFC cards, signatures and backgrounds
  • Company contacts exported to CSV by an Admin
  • Personal contacts saved by each member
  • Cards rebuilt from a team template
  • CRM connection checked with a real scan
  • Event qualification questions rebuilt
  • Blinq downgraded to Free, new card link added
  • Signatures and video backgrounds replaced
  • Subscription cancelled where it was paid
  • Last lead invoice budgeted
FAQ · 8 questions

Blinq alternatives: frequently asked questions

  • Which Blinq alternative is free?

For a single card, Mobilo: its digital card is free and Pro is then only $3 a month. HiHello gives 2 cards and 5 paper card scans a month, Wave Connect a card, a signature and 10 AI credits. Blinq's own free plan is decent (2 cards, unlimited sharing); its real limit is the Blinq branding on your card.

  • Does Blinq charge per scan?

Not for regular sharing: sending your card is unlimited, even on Free. Yes for Lead Capture Mode on Business: $9.99 per captured and enriched lead, 0.75 credit when Blinq adds no email or phone, duplicates free. Leads captured during the 30-day Business trial aren't billed.

  • Do I lose my cards if I downgrade Blinq to Free?

No, Blinq keeps the cards you already created. That's what lets you keep printed QR codes live during the switch. Exactly which features you lose depends on your old plan: run your contact export before you change.

  • How do I export my contacts from Blinq?

In the dashboard, All company contacts, then Export contacts and Download CSV. You need to be an Owner or Admin. Members' personal contacts aren't in that export, and when exporting to Outlook, contacts with no Created by value are skipped.

  • What's the best Blinq alternative for a team of 3?

Wave Connect: Teams starts at 3 users at $5 each per month billed yearly, so $15. Blinq Business and HiHello Business both need at least 5 seats, so $24.95 and $25 a month at minimum.

  • Is there a Blinq alternative with no per-lead fees for events?

Popl: its team license has no per-seat price and no credits, so lead volume doesn't change the bill. The catch is that the price is quote-only. Wave Connect still uses credits but a card or form capture is $2.50, against $9.99 per enriched lead on Blinq.

  • Will my Blinq NFC cards work with another app?

Don't count on it. The card opens your Blinq page: keep Blinq on Free with a link to your new card, and order new NFC cards from your new app ($23 at Wave, from $82 at V1CE).

  • Is Blinq secure and GDPR compliant?

Blinq states SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance on its pricing page, and Enterprise adds enforced SSO and SCIM. If your company needs a European vendor, Unitag vCard Pro is based in France and bills in euros.
