Modash alternatives: which platform fits your reason to switch

Seven platforms in detail, one comparison table, and a six-step exit plan.

The short answer: Favikon if your creators post on LinkedIn, Kolsquare if you also need Twitch, Snapchat and Facebook, Influence4You if you want a French vendor that handles creator contracts and offers hands-on support, HypeAuditor if audience fraud is your real worry, GRIN if you run a DTC brand (a brand that sells direct to consumers online) that ships product and pays creators, Heepsy if $199 a month billed yearly is too much, Upfluence if you want an all-in-one platform with hands-on support. One rule before anything else: once your subscription ends, you lose access to Modash, which keeps your data for 90 days only in case you resubscribe, then deletes it. Export before your plan ends. We compared these seven platforms and their terms in 2026.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always flagged on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The real reasons

Why teams move off Modash

Let's be fair: Modash does its job well. It claims 380M+ profiles across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, publishes its prices, and its 14-day trial doesn't ask for a card. It scores 4.3/5 in our influencer marketing platforms ranking, the top score in the category. If you work on those three networks and your quota covers you, staying is often the right call. Teams leave for six specific reasons.

No LinkedIn, Twitch or Snapchat

Modash covers three networks: Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Modash says so itself on its own blog. For a B2B SaaS brand working with executives and operators, that's a dealbreaker, because those voices live on LinkedIn. Same story for a gaming brand that needs Twitch.

$199 a month just to start, billed yearly

Essentials costs $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388 a year), or $299 month to month with no commitment (the yearly plan is a prepaid one-year commitment), for two seats and 300 unlocked profiles. Several reviews call it a bit pricey for a basic feature set when you're just getting started. For a small DTC brand testing influencer marketing, that's a big line item.

Quotas that share everything

Every click on a search result opens a profile and counts against your monthly cap: 300 on Essentials, 800 on Performance. Email unlocks have their own cap (150, then 400), and the pricing page counts profile data exports against that email cap. A team that browses a lot hits the ceiling before the month is over.

Lighter campaign ops than the big suites

Modash handles outreach, creator tracking and campaigns, and it connects to Shopify. But brands that pay dozens of creators, ship product and manage promo codes at scale find more depth in GRIN or Upfluence.

$100 more a month without a yearly plan

Month to month, Essentials is $299 and Performance $599. Billed yearly, the same plans come to $199 and $499 a month: Modash says so itself, annual billing saves $100 a month. Modash's Shopify App Store listing shows the same amounts: $299 and $599 a month, or $2,388 and $5,988 a year. Staying monthly so you can leave fast costs $1,200 more a year.

No access once your plan ends

When your subscription ends, you lose access to the platform. Modash keeps your account data for 90 days in case you come back (access returns only if you resubscribe), then deletes it permanently. Modash asks you to export lists, campaigns and reports before your subscription ends. It's not a reason to leave, but it sets your exit timeline.

The 7 alternatives

Modash alternatives, one by one

For each platform: why pick it after Modash, who it's for, its catch, how to bring your lists over, and the price the vendor lists in 2026. The order follows the scores in our influencer marketing platforms ranking; the tags tell you which case each one wins.

01

Favikon: LinkedIn coverage and a real free plan

Best for B2B

Why switch to Favikon. It answers Modash's biggest gap head on: Favikon covers LinkedIn on top of the big consumer networks. The free plan doesn't expire: 15 credits a month, 3 tracked creators and 100 contacts. Favikon is based in Paris and lists its prices in euros.

Who it's for. B2B brands, SaaS companies and agencies that want executives, operators and niche experts to talk about them. Core costs €199 month to month or €159 a month billed yearly, with 500 credits and one active campaign. Pro costs €299 or €239, with 1,000 credits and five campaigns. Enterprise starts at €499 a month. Quarterly billing takes 10% off, yearly 20%.

Who it's not for. Teams that run very broad searches every day. Credits go fast, and an extra pack of 500 credits costs €50.

The catch. Each extra full seat costs €69 a month (€39 for an analyst seat). Custom data export only shows up on the Enterprise tier of the pricing page, so don't count on a full export on Core.

Moving over from Modash. Start the free plan while your Modash subscription is still live. Find your ten most important creators one by one, then add the LinkedIn voices Modash couldn't see. Only pay once you know how many credits you burn in a month.

02

Kolsquare: six networks, one database

Best network coverage

Why switch to Kolsquare. Kolsquare's Discovery plan covers six platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook and Snapchat. Where Modash stops at three, you keep one database for every campaign. It also sells social listening on TikTok and Instagram to track what people say about your brand.

Who it's for. Brands and agencies running campaigns in Europe that want a named account manager. Startups under three years old, with less than €500k raised and fewer than ten employees, get 30% off. Ask for it on the first call.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Modash to pay less or to see a price before talking to sales. Kolsquare publishes no pricing, and its page mentions no trial: everything goes through a demo.

The catch. The pricing page lists no seat count and no contract length. Before you sign, get the term length, the number of users and the cancellation notice in writing.

Moving over from Modash. Bring your Modash export to the demo, profile URL column included. Ask how your lists will be imported and how many of your creators are already in the database.

Influence4You: a French vendor that handles your contracts

Best for hands-on support

Why switch to Influence4You. It's a French platform that publishes its prices, in euros excluding VAT. Discovery, the self-serve plan, costs €540 a month on a 12-month term (€590 on 3 months), with a 5-day trial. Managed plans go up to €1,080 (Project.AI), €1,350 (Marketplace) and €1,790 a month (Pack Full Influence). On Project.AI and Full, creator contracts are signed online. Its search engine claims 275M profiles across 160 countries, its marketplace 250,000 influencers, and the interface is available in English.

Who it's for. Brands selling in France that want a platform plus hands-on support, with contracts handled inside the tool.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Modash because of price: even Discovery costs more than Essentials at $299 month to month.

The catch. Commitment is the norm: 3 to 24 months, with 5% off at 6 months and 9% at 12. Managed plans add a €490 onboarding fee, and you can exit within the first 30 days. Freelancers, startups, nonprofits and NGOs get 50% off.

Moving over from Modash. Start the 5-day trial with your Modash export at hand and find your creators by profile URL. Lists, castings and campaigns export to CSV from Discovery up.

HypeAuditor: when fraud is the problem

Best for audience audits

Why switch to HypeAuditor. Its strength is audience quality: fake followers, suspicious engagement, the real share of the audience in your target country. If you've ever paid a creator whose numbers were inflated, this is the tool that protects you best. It claims 226M+ profiles and 35+ search filters.

Who it's for. Brands spending serious money per creator that want to vet each profile before signing. Agencies that have to justify creator picks to a client.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Modash because of price or because they want to see prices. HypeAuditor no longer shows any amount on its pricing page: you talk to sales. Only limited free access and demos are open without a call.

The catch. Its terms of service are strict: cancelling cuts off access to the service immediately, purchased reports left unused are voided at expiry, and there are no refunds for partial use. Our page on switching from HypeAuditor covers those traps.

Moving over from Modash. During the demo, have your twenty most active Modash creators audited. Compare both reads of their audience: if they differ a lot, you'll know whether the deeper audit is worth paying for.

GRIN: built for DTC brands that pay creators

Best for DTC brands

Why switch to GRIN. Modash shines at search; GRIN runs the whole relationship: product seeding, codes, creator payments, sales tracking. Prices are public and monthly: Free at $0, Starter at $200, Growth at $500, Scale at $1,500, Enterprise on a yearly quote. No contract outside Enterprise.

Who it's for. Shopify and DTC brands working with dozens of paid creators that want everything in one place. Starter comes with a 30-day trial, and list and email export are open from Starter up.

Who it's not for. B2B teams, or anyone who mainly needs a creator search engine. GRIN is built around ecommerce.

The catch. Fees apply to the money you deposit to pay creators: 20% on Free, 10% on Starter, 7% on Growth, 5% on Scale. Pay creators $5,000 a month on Starter and you add $500 in fees on top of the $200 plan. When the trial ends, billing starts automatically.

Moving over from Modash. Run the fee math on your real creator budget first. Then import your Modash export with the profile URL and email, and put the trial end date in your calendar on day one.

Starter $200/mo, Growth $500/mo

Upfluence: all-in-one, with a one-year contract

Best hands-on support

Why switch to Upfluence. Upfluence sells modules you assemble: search, campaign management, affiliate, payments. You buy what you need, with no mandatory setup fee. The trial is set up after a first call.

Who it's for. Brands that want to tie influencer and affiliate programs together and have lots of existing creators to import. The CSV import takes three columns, profile_name, media_url and email, and updates an existing creator instead of creating a duplicate.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Modash to keep their freedom: the minimum contract is 12 months, and all pricing is quote-based. Its claimed database, 14M+ creators, is also smaller.

The catch. The minimum contract is 12 months, and the free trial only opens after a first call. Read the renewal clauses before you sign.

Moving over from Modash. It's the easiest place to bring your lists. Rename your Modash export columns to match the three it expects, then import and count the rows.

Heepsy: creator search for less

Best on a budget

Why switch to Heepsy. It's the cheapest way out. The free plan never expires (500 results and 10 detailed profiles a month). Starter is $89 a month or $69 billed yearly, Plus $199 or $149, Advanced $299 or $229. Yearly billing saves up to 25%, and there's no mandatory annual commitment. Heepsy also covers LinkedIn, on top of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Who it's for. Solopreneurs, small shops and new agencies that unlock fewer profiles than the 300 in Modash Essentials. Billed yearly, Starter ($69 a month) costs about a third of Essentials ($199). Month to month the gap is wider: $89 against $299.

Who it's not for. Brands that want a huge database and lots of micro-creators. Heepsy claims 20M+ creators, far from Modash's 380M, and some users struggle to find profiles under 5,000 followers.

The catch. Result exports start on Starter, but contact details need Plus. Some customers say they were charged after cancelling: turn off renewal as soon as you know you're leaving, and keep the confirmation.

Moving over from Modash. Test your niche on the free plan first: search your twenty usual creators and see how many are in the database. If you need emails, take Plus for one month to export, then drop back.

The migration

Leaving Modash step by step

Six steps, in this order. The first two happen before your last billing date: exports count against this month's email cap, and you lose access to Modash as soon as your plan ends.

01

Count what you need to export

Urgent

List your creator lists, campaigns and the reports you still share. Write down how many creators sit in each list and how much quota you have left this month.

Why count? Modash's pricing page counts profile data exports against your monthly email unlock cap (150 on Essentials, 400 on Performance). If your lists are bigger than that cap, plan as many billing months as your list size divided by the cap, rounded up: 400 creators on Essentials takes three months.

Time
30 minutes
Write down

02

Export your lists to CSV or Excel

From each list, run the export to CSV or Excel. The file includes bio, status, notes, labels, emails, social links and audience metrics.

Export your campaign reports too. On a yearly plan there's no rush before the term ends, but do it before the term ends: once your plan is over, you have no access to the platform, so no exports either.

Time
1 to 2 hours
Format
CSV or Excel
03

Build your file around the profile URL

Keep a column with each creator's full profile URL: it's the key every tool understands. Keep the email too.

Status, labels and notes almost never import as is. Copy them into a plain text column, or keep the original file as an archive.

Time
30 minutes

04

Start the next tool while Modash is still running

Open your destination before you cancel: the free plan on Favikon or Heepsy, 30 days on GRIN, 5 days on Influence4You Discovery, a demo with Kolsquare, HypeAuditor or Upfluence.

Search your top twenty creators and compare their audience numbers with your export. A big gap usually comes from a different calculation method, not a different creator.

Time
1 week
Sample

05

Import your creators into the new tool

On Upfluence, rename your columns to profile_name, media_url and email. Elsewhere, the profile URL is enough to find each creator in the database.

Count rows before and after the import. A gap means a profile missing from the new database or a malformed row. Need your creators synced with your CRM? See our page on Modash with Zapier to rebuild your existing automations.

06

Cancel at the right time

Important

Modash says monthly plans cancel immediately: export before you cancel, not after. On a yearly plan, it stays active until the term ends. After that, you can't get into the account: Modash keeps your data for 90 days in case you resubscribe, then deletes it.

Subscribed through the Shopify App Store? Billing runs through Shopify, so cancel from your Shopify admin, not only inside Modash. For any refund question, email Modash before you cancel.

Migration pitfalls

What makes a Modash exit go wrong

The expensive mistakes are about timing and quotas, not tech. Each one costs you lost lists or months billed for nothing.

Counting on the 90 days to export

The 90 days are not an export window: when your plan ends you lose access, and Modash only keeps your data in case you resubscribe. Exporting during that time means paying for another month. Export before your plan ends.

Forgetting that exports burn email unlocks

Modash counts profile data exports against your email cap. At 150 emails a month on Essentials, a 400-creator list takes three months. Check your counter before you start.

Keeping the wrong identifier

Handles change; profile URLs much less. Without them, you'll be matching creators by hand, one at a time.

Signing a one-year deal to escape a monthly tool

Modash's monthly plan has no commitment; the yearly plan is prepaid and runs to the end of its term. Upfluence asks for 12 months, Kolsquare and HypeAuditor go through a quote. Get the term and notice period in writing before you sign.

Ignoring fees on top of the plan

On GRIN, deposit fees can outweigh the subscription. On Favikon, extra seats and credit packs add up. Compare twelve months of total cost, not the sticker price.

Choosing on database size

380M profiles don't help if your creators post on LinkedIn. Pick on your network and how you work. For agencies, also check our influencer platforms ranking for agencies.

FAQ · 8 questions

Modash alternatives: frequently asked questions

  • How much does Modash cost?

Essentials is $299 month to month, or $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388 a year). Performance is $599 month to month, or $499 a month billed yearly ($5,988 a year). Enterprise starts at $14,700 a year. Annual billing saves $100 a month on each plan, and Modash's Shopify App Store listing shows the same monthly and yearly amounts. The lower prices you'll see on some software directories are outdated.

  • Does Modash have a free plan?

No, but it has a 14-day free trial with no credit card: 20 profiles, 6 emails and 10 tracked creators. That's enough to judge search quality in your niche, not to run a campaign. For a free plan that lasts, look at Heepsy or Favikon.

  • How do I cancel Modash?

From your subscription settings. Modash says monthly plans cancel immediately, so export everything first; a yearly plan runs to the end of its term. If you pay through Shopify, cancel there too.

  • What happens to my data after I cancel?

You lose access to the platform as soon as your subscription ends. Modash keeps your data for 90 days, with no access unless you resubscribe, then deletes it permanently. Modash recommends exporting lists, campaigns and reports before your subscription ends, so the date to put in your calendar is your plan's end date, not day 90.

  • Can I export my Modash lists?

Yes, to CSV or Excel, with bio, notes, labels, emails and audience metrics. But the pricing page counts profile data exports against your monthly email unlock cap (150 on Essentials, 400 on Performance). For large lists, plan as many months as your list size divided by that cap: 400 creators on Essentials takes three months.

  • Does Modash cover LinkedIn?

No. Modash covers Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, for creators above 1,000 followers. For LinkedIn, Favikon and Heepsy both cover it; Favikon is the most B2B-focused.

  • Is there a free Modash alternative?

Yes. Heepsy has a free plan that never expires (500 results a month), Favikon gives 15 credits a month, and GRIN has a $0 plan that takes a 20% fee on creator payments. None of them matches Modash's database size for free.

  • Modash or HypeAuditor: which one?

Modash if you want public prices, a no-card trial and the bigger claimed database (380M+ against 226M+). HypeAuditor if vetting audience quality and fake followers is the core of your job and you're fine with quote-based pricing.
