What changes when Claude can search CompuMark registers
Trademark clearance means running searches across many offices, checking phonetic lookalikes, then reading records one by one. With this connector, a brand or legal team describes the mark, the classes and the countries in plain English, and Claude runs the searches against Clarivate's CompuMark data, gauges how many hits come back and opens the records that matter.
Knock out a name early. A brand manager tests a candidate name; ip-one___trademark-knockout-search runs an identical, exact-match search and returns matching record IDs before anyone gets attached to the name.
Size a screening before reading it. A paralegal prepares a wider search with phonetics and plurals; ip-one___trademark-count gives the number of hits first, and ip-one___trademark-search returns the IDs once the scope looks reasonable.
Build the file for counsel. For the marks that matter, ip-one___trademark-content pulls status, applicants, classes and dates, ip-one___trademark-goods adds the goods and services wording, and ip-one___trademark-fulltext supplies the full-text links to cite.
What it will not do: Claude does not file, oppose or watch a mark on its own, and nothing fires when a new application is published. It only searches while it answers you. The Integrations hub lists the platforms we document.
Five words before you connect
The vocabulary Claude uses around this connector, in one minute.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so Claude can work on it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do on that account. Claude picks the ones it needs; the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The sign-in screen of the service itself, where you grant Claude the access it uses afterwards. Given once per person, and revocable.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it changes something in an account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant such as Claude talk to an outside service like CompuMark.
Connect CompuMark Trademarks to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find the connector in your settings
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and search for Clarivate IPOne CompuMark Trademarks. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it for the organization before members can sign in individually.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row, then sign in to the service in the window it opens itself. If the link breaks later, choose Disconnect and connect again: that usually repairs it.
- 03
Read the authorization screen
Check what the authorization screen says before you accept. It belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it defines the scope of the access. You can also withdraw that access later from your account on the service side.
The 9 tools, grouped by what they do
Clarivate IPOne CompuMark Trademarks gives Claude 9 tools: 6 that read your account, 0 that change something in it, and 3 no official source describes.
Two groups: six tools that search and read trademark data, and three whose name is all the directory publishes. Names stay exactly as Claude shows them, prefix included.

What Claude reads (6)
6 toolsSix tools that search registers and read trademark records without touching anything.
ip-one___trademark-content
Pulls the record details for a list of trademark IDs: registration number, verbal element, status, office, classes, dates, applicants and mark feature. Goods and services are left out of this call.
ip-one___trademark-count
Takes the same parameters as the flexible search but only returns how many marks match, with no IDs. It is the quick way to judge the size of a screening before retrieving anything.
ip-one___trademark-fulltext
Returns CompuMark's full-text URLs for a list of trademark IDs, meant to be shown as links labelled full-text in the answer.
ip-one___trademark-goods
Gives the goods and services wording for a single trademark ID, the part the content call leaves aside. Claude calls it separately for each mark whose specification matters.
ip-one___trademark-knockout-search
Runs an identical, exact-match knockout search on a mark and returns the IDs of the trademarks that match it, nothing looser.
ip-one___trademark-search
The flexible screening: a list of field filters combined with options for phonetics, plurals, cross-references and regional phonetics. It returns matching IDs.
Not documented (3)
3 toolsThe directory lists these names and nothing else, and Clarivate's documentation does not cover them. We do not guess what they do.
ip-one___trademark-search-field-names
No official source documents this tool: the directory sheet shows its name only, and Clarivate's MCP documentation, which covers six of the nine tools, does not describe it. We draw nothing from the name.
ip-one___trademark-search-field-operators
Nothing in the documentation we read describes this one; the directory publishes the name and stops there, and Clarivate's page skips it entirely. We do not infer a capability from it.
ip-one___trademark-search-register-office-codes
Undocumented: neither the directory sheet nor Clarivate's page says what this tool does, only that it exists on the sheet. We leave it at that until a source covers it.
What Claude asks before acting
By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on an account for you. The six described tools here only search and read; the three others are not documented at all.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organization, for example keeping reading and closing writing, and nobody overrides that from their own account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected it: what your CompuMark access does not cover, Claude cannot reach either.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows availability by plan. Connector by connector, that answer is published nowhere: it is a real gap in the catalogue.
What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner turns the connector on for the organization before each member connects. For the current state of this one, check its sheet in the official directory, the only place showing it.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing fires when a conflicting application is filed.
The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The verification badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not control which tools a publisher exposes. Only Clarivate documents this connector; no Claude help article covers it. To compare with another partner connector, see the Claude affinity connector.
