What can the Abby Make integration do for you?

The Abby Make integration links your Abby account to Make, a no-code tool where you build a scenario, meaning an automation made of modules chained one after another. A module is one brick of that chain. All 24 Abby modules are actions: they create, update or retrieve something in Abby, such as a contact, an invoice or a task.

Invoices that draft themselves. When a deal closes in your CRM, Créer une facture en brouillon opens the invoice and Ajouter des lignes à une facture fills it with what was sold. You review the draft, then Finaliser une facture completes it.

A client file kept in sync. A signup from your website form becomes a company with Créer une nouvelle organisation and a person with Créer un nouveau contact d'organisation, then a project and its first to-do with Créer un projet and Créer une tâche.

Payments recorded without a click. When your payment tool reports a settled payment, Marquer une facture comme payée updates Abby and Créer une entrée dans le livre de recettes records the income.

What Make does not do here: Abby has no trigger, so nothing inside Abby can start a scenario on its own. The first module comes from another app, or the scenario runs on its schedule. How do you connect Abby to Make?

    Open an Abby module

    In a scenario, click the + and search for Abby. Pick any Abby module, Créer un nouveau contact for instance, then click Create a connection. A connection is your Abby account linked to Make once and reused by every Abby module afterwards.

    Create an API key in Abby

    In Abby, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click the button that creates a new API key. Give it a name if Abby asks for one, then copy the key displayed in the window that opens.

    Paste the key and confirm

    Back in Make, you can type a label in Connection name so you recognize it later; it is optional. Paste the API key, or follow the instructions on screen, and confirm. Make can now act in your Abby account.

Your first scenario: from new customer to draft invoice

    On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. Abby has no trigger, so start with the trigger of the app where your new customers show up.

    Set the schedule on the first module: a new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, which is also the shortest interval on the Free plan. Then switch the scenario on.

Yes. Abby is a standard app in Make, so its 24 modules work on the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, 15 minutes minimum between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run and 512 MB of data transfer. Each module running on one bundle counts as one operation, the unit Make tracks on your plan. Paid plans such as Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise bring the interval down to 1 minute and lift the cap on active scenarios. You still need an active Abby account, which Abby bills on its own side.
02What do you need to connect Abby to Make?
An active Abby account and an API key. In Abby, open Settings, then Integrations, create a new key, name it if asked and copy it from the window that appears. In Make, add any Abby module, click Create a connection, optionally fill in Connection name, then paste the key. The connection is saved once and reused by all 24 modules, so this setup happens a single time per Abby account.
03Can Abby start a Make scenario on its own?
No. Abby has no trigger module in Make: all 24 modules are actions. You can still start a scenario in two ways. Put the trigger of another app first, for example the form or store where orders arrive, and let the Abby modules follow. Or open the scenario with an Abby module and set its schedule so Make runs it at regular intervals, every 15 minutes by default, and never more often than that on the Free plan.
04What if an Abby module is missing or a limit gets in the way?
It depends on the need. Make does not offer its generic Make an API Call module for Abby, but the app has its own Faire un appel API module, which, going by its name, sends custom requests to the Abby API for cases the other modules skip.
