What you can automate

What can the EasyCargo Make integration automate?

The EasyCargo Make integration links your EasyCargo account to Make so that shipments, cargo spaces, item templates and users can be created, read or removed by a scenario, the automation you build in Make as a chain of modules. A module is one brick of that chain. No code is involved: you pick modules and fill their fields.

Orders turn into planned shipments. A confirmed order in your sales tool feeds Create a Shipment, then Create a Shipment Public Link prepares a link for the customer or the carrier. Nobody copies addresses or quantities by hand anymore.

Reports reach the right inbox. Get a Shipment Report pulls the report out of EasyCargo and the next module forwards it to a driver, files it in a shared drive or posts it to a team channel.

Your user list follows your hiring. List Users checks whether a new colleague already has an account, and Create a User opens one when needed. Nobody waits for an admin to remember them.

Two limits to know. EasyCargo has no trigger module, so an EasyCargo event cannot start a scenario by itself: the scenario runs on a schedule or starts from another app. And the Make doc gives no description of the modules, and warns that its own text is AI-generated and worth checking, so test each module with Run once before trusting it. For anything outside the list, Make an API Call reaches the rest of the EasyCargo API. Our Make review covers the editor itself, the Make training takes you further, and if you are weighing tools, n8n vs Make lays out the criteria.

Connect

How do you connect EasyCargo to Make?

  1. 01

    Add an EasyCargo module

In your Make account, open a scenario, add any EasyCargo module and click Create a connection. A connection is your EasyCargo account linked to Make once, then reused by every EasyCargo module you add later.

  2. 02

    Name the connection

The Connection name field is optional, but a clear name helps as soon as you manage a test account and a live one. Something like the team or the depot it belongs to is enough.

  3. 03

    Paste your credentials

Enter the API key and the user email tied to your EasyCargo account, then save. You need an active EasyCargo user account with an API key assigned to it, otherwise the connection will not go through.

First scenario

Your first scenario with EasyCargo

GoalWhen a new order arrives in your order tool, Make creates the matching shipment in EasyCargo and a public link for it.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. Since EasyCargo has no trigger, this first module comes from the app where your orders land.

  2. 02

    Add Create a Shipment

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for EasyCargo and pick Create a Shipment. Choose your connection, or click Create a connection if this is your first EasyCargo module.

  3. 03

    Map the order data

Fill the fields of Create a Shipment by mapping values from the order module. Each bundle, meaning one item passed from a module to the next, here one order, creates one shipment.

  4. 04

    Add the public link

Click the + again and add Create a Shipment Public Link. Map the shipment returned by the previous module so the link points to the shipment you just created.

  5. 05

    Test with Run once

Click Run once to run the scenario a single time, then open each module to read the bundles it received. Check in EasyCargo that the shipment looks the way your planners expect.

  6. 06

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default, and switch the scenario on. Each module run on a bundle counts as one operation on your Make plan.

Modules

What the EasyCargo modules do

EasyCargo gives you 17 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

EasyCargo1

Create Cargo Item Templates

ActionIn the docs only

You get item templates added to EasyCargo straight from a scenario, instead of typing each one into the app. The name is plural, so expect it to take more than one item; the doc adds no description, so confirm what it stores with Run once.

When to use it
your product catalog in another tool gains a new reference and EasyCargo should know it before the next load is planned.
EasyCargo2

Create a Cargo Space

ActionIn the docs only

This module adds a cargo space to your EasyCargo account from Make, so the spaces you plan loads into can come from another system instead of being entered twice.

When to use it
a new vehicle or container is registered in your fleet sheet and should show up in EasyCargo as well.
Watch out
the doc lists no fields, so open the module and read what Make asks for before mapping anything.
EasyCargo3

Create a Shipment

ActionIn the docs only

Create a Shipment opens a new shipment in EasyCargo from data that already exists elsewhere, which spares your planners from copying order details into the app. It is the natural second step of a scenario that starts in your order tool.

When to use it
an order is confirmed and its load needs planning.
Watch out
every bundle that reaches it creates one shipment, so a search placed before it can multiply shipments.
EasyCargo5

Create a User

ActionIn the docs only

New colleagues get an EasyCargo account without anyone opening the admin screens, because Make creates the user for you. With no field list in the doc, the module itself shows what it expects.

When to use it
a hire is added to your HR tool or a form, and the logistics team needs access from the first day.
Watch out
try it on a test person first, since each run creates a real account.
EasyCargo6

Delete a Cargo Item Template

ActionIn the docs only

Outdated item templates leave your EasyCargo list when the scenario runs after a product is dropped, so planners stop picking items you no longer ship.

When to use it
a product is discontinued in your catalog and its template should go with it.
Watch out
a deletion does not come back. Run it once on a single template and check the result before letting the scenario handle a whole batch.
EasyCargo7

Delete a Shipment

ActionIn the docs only

Cancelled orders stop leaving ghost shipments in EasyCargo: this module removes the shipment you point it to.

When to use it
an order is cancelled in your shop or ERP after its shipment was already created.
Watch out
the doc mentions no undo, so treat each run as final and pass it the exact shipment, ideally found first with List Shipments or Get a Shipment.
EasyCargo8

Get Cargo Items Placements

ActionIn the docs only

Going by its name, this module brings the placement of the items back into Make, in other words where each item sits once the load is planned, so another tool can use it.

When to use it
the warehouse team works from a spreadsheet or a chat message and wants the placement next to the order.
Watch out
the doc describes no output, so read the bundle after Run once before mapping it.
EasyCargo9

Get a Cargo Space

ActionIn the docs only

You retrieve the details of one cargo space you already know, which helps when a later module needs information about that space and not only its reference.

When to use it
a scenario prepares a shipment and has to check the space it will be loaded into.
Watch out
it reads a single space; to browse all of them, List Cargo Spaces is the right pick.
EasyCargo10

Get a Shipment

ActionIn the docs only

Get a Shipment brings one shipment back into the scenario so its data can travel to the next module, whether that is an email, a CRM record or a row in a sheet.

When to use it
you already hold the shipment reference, for example from Create a Shipment earlier in the flow, and want its current content.
Watch out
without that reference, start with List Shipments instead.
EasyCargo11

Get a Shipment Report

ActionIn the docs only

A shipment report lands in your scenario, ready to be forwarded or archived, instead of someone exporting it from EasyCargo by hand.

When to use it
a shipment is planned and its report must reach a customer, a driver or a shared drive.
Watch out
the doc does not say in which form the report comes back, so check the bundle with Run once before choosing where to send it.
EasyCargo12

Get a User

ActionIn the docs only

This module fetches one EasyCargo user so the scenario knows who it is dealing with, for instance before sending a notification or updating another tool.

When to use it
a shipment has to be tied to the colleague who handles it, and the next module needs that person's details.
Watch out
it expects one specific user; List Users is the way in when you do not know which one yet.
EasyCargo13

List Cargo Item Templates

SearchIn the docs only

The item templates stored in EasyCargo come into Make as a list, the easiest way to compare them with your catalog or copy them into a sheet.

When to use it
before Create Cargo Item Templates runs, to avoid duplicating items EasyCargo already knows.
Watch out
as a search, it returns zero, one or many bundles, and each following module then runs once per bundle, which adds operations.
EasyCargo14

List Cargo Spaces

SearchIn the docs only

A scenario that has to pick a loading space gets its options here: List Cargo Spaces returns the spaces saved in EasyCargo, one bundle per space.

When to use it
copying your EasyCargo spaces into a fleet sheet, or letting a later module choose among them.
Watch out
a search can also come back empty, so run it once to see what your account actually returns.
EasyCargo15

List Shipments

SearchIn the docs only

Your shipments come out of EasyCargo one bundle each, ready to feed a report, a sheet or a clean-up scenario.

When to use it
building an overview of shipments for a manager, or finding the shipment to hand over to Get a Shipment or Delete a Shipment.
Watch out
every shipment found multiplies the operations of the modules placed after it, so keep the flow short.
EasyCargo16

List Users

SearchIn the docs only

The people registered in EasyCargo show up in the scenario as a list, useful to keep another tool's directory in line with who can access the planner.

When to use it
checking whether a person already has an account before Create a User runs.
Watch out
each user is a separate bundle, so whatever follows runs once per person and counts one operation each time.
EasyCargo17

Make an API Call

ActionIn the docs only

Whatever the listed modules leave out, this one can still reach, because it calls any endpoint of the EasyCargo API with the connection you already set up.

When to use it
you need an EasyCargo operation that has no dedicated module.
Watch out
you write the request yourself from the EasyCargo API reference, a more technical step than any other module on this page.

FAQ

EasyCargo and Make: common questions

01Is the EasyCargo Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. EasyCargo is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans drop the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. You still need your own EasyCargo subscription and an API key, which Make does not provide.
02What do you need to connect EasyCargo to Make?
An active EasyCargo user account with an assigned API key, plus the email registered on that account. The key comes from EasyCargo support, so request it before you start. In Make, you add an EasyCargo module, click Create a connection, optionally give it a name, then paste the API key and the email. The connection is then reused by every EasyCargo module of your scenarios. Name it after the team or depot it serves if you plan to add a second account later.
03Can EasyCargo start a Make scenario on its own?
No. EasyCargo has no trigger module in Make, scheduled or instant, so nothing happening in EasyCargo can launch a scenario directly. Two ways around it: start the scenario from another app, such as your order tool or a form, or let Make run it on a schedule, every 15 minutes by default, with a search such as List Shipments as the first EasyCargo step. On the Free plan the shortest interval is 15 minutes.
04What if the EasyCargo module you need is missing?
Use Make an API Call. It is part of the EasyCargo app in Make and calls any endpoint of the EasyCargo API with the same connection, so an operation without its own module stays within reach. It asks you to build the request from the EasyCargo API reference. Also keep in mind that the Make doc for this app flags itself as AI-generated content, so verify each module's behavior with Run once.
05Should you use Make or n8n for EasyCargo?
It depends on what you already run. On Make, EasyCargo comes with 17 modules, 13 actions and 4 searches, available from the Free plan, plus Make an API Call for the rest. Many apps also have an n8n node; check whether one exists for EasyCargo and what it covers before choosing. Compare the modules you actually need, the tool your team already knows, and how each one fits your other apps.
