What you can automate

What can the MobiCRM Make integration do for you?

The MobiCRM Make integration links your MobiCRM account to Make, a no-code tool where you build a scenario: an automation made of modules, each one a small brick that does one job. Here every module writes something new into MobiCRM, so data coming from your other tools lands in the CRM without copy and paste.

New leads that file themselves. A web form or a chat tool starts the scenario, then Create a Lead drops the prospect into MobiCRM and Create a Todo reminds a salesperson to call back. Nobody has to watch an inbox.

A clean customer file when a deal closes. When your quoting or billing tool marks a deal as signed, Create an Account opens the customer record and Create a Contact adds the person you worked with.

Meeting notes in the right place. Create Minutes stores minutes in MobiCRM, handy when notes are written somewhere else first.

What Make will not do here: MobiCRM has no trigger in Make, so the CRM cannot start a scenario by itself, and there is no search or update module either. For anything else the API allows, Make an API Call reuses the same connection. The official doc also flags its own content as AI-generated, so check important details with MobiCRM. If you are still choosing a tool, read our Make review and the n8n vs Make comparison; to learn the editor properly, see the Make training.

Connect

How do you connect MobiCRM to Make?

  1. 01

    Open a MobiCRM module

In your scenario, add any MobiCRM module, for example Create a Contact, then click Create a connection. A connection is your MobiCRM account linked to Make once and reused by every MobiCRM module afterward.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize

Give the connection a name if you like, such as the team that owns the account. Then either approve Make on the MobiCRM page that opens or paste the key MobiCRM gives you, depending on how your account signs in.

  3. 03

    Save and check

Click Save. The connection now appears in the module's dropdown, and Make can read the MobiCRM data it needs to fill the fields. You will not have to repeat this for the other five modules.

First scenario

Build your first MobiCRM scenario

GoalWhen someone fills in a form in another app, Make creates the lead in MobiCRM and adds a callback to-do.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to add the first module. Since MobiCRM has no trigger, pick the trigger of the app that collects your forms.

  2. 02

    Add Create a Lead

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for MobiCRM and choose Create a Lead. Click Create a connection if this is your first MobiCRM module.

  3. 03

    Map the form answers

Fill the lead fields by mapping data from the form module: click a field and pick the matching answer. Each submitted form travels as one bundle, meaning one item passed from module to module.

  4. 04

    Chain Create a Todo

Add Create a Todo after the lead and map the prospect details from the form into it, so a salesperson sees a clear task to follow up on the new lead.

  5. 05

    Test, then switch on

Click Run once, submit a test form and read the bundles each module received. When the lead shows up in MobiCRM, set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default) and switch the scenario on.

Modules

What each MobiCRM module does

MobiCRM gives you 6 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

MobiCRM1

Create Minutes

ActionIn the docs only

Use it to save meeting minutes in MobiCRM, so what was said stays next to the customer instead of in a notebook.

When to use it
right after a meeting tool or a shared note produces a written summary you want stored in the CRM.
Watch out
the doc gives no detail on what a minutes record holds, so open the module and check its fields before mapping anything.
MobiCRM2

Create a Contact

ActionIn the docs only

You get a new person in MobiCRM each time a bundle reaches this module, built from data mapped out of the previous step.

When to use it
for someone you already work with, such as a customer who signs a quote, rather than a prospect you have not qualified yet.
Watch out
there is no search module for MobiCRM in Make, so this module cannot check for an existing contact first; feed it clean data to avoid duplicates.
MobiCRM3

Create a Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Every new prospect becomes a lead in MobiCRM the moment your scenario runs, ready for your sales team to qualify.

When to use it
at the entry point of your pipeline, when a form, a chat or an event sign-up brings in someone you have never talked to.
Watch out
each lead created costs one operation, the unit Make counts on your plan, so filter out spam or test entries before this step.
MobiCRM4

Create a Todo

ActionIn the docs only

A task lands in MobiCRM so the next action on a record is written down rather than remembered.

When to use it
just after Create a Lead or Create an Account, to plan the callback or the onboarding step that should follow.
Watch out
the module adds a task but nothing in Make can later update or close it, since MobiCRM offers no update module; the salesperson closes it in the CRM.
MobiCRM5

Create an Account

ActionIn the docs only

This one opens a new account in MobiCRM, the record you usually want in place before a customer file grows around it.

When to use it
when a deal is signed in your quoting or billing tool and the customer needs a proper file in the CRM.
Watch out
the doc does not describe how accounts, contacts and to-dos link together in MobiCRM, so check the fields Make shows before chaining several create modules.
MobiCRM6

Make an API Call

ActionIn the docs only

Here you reach any endpoint of the MobiCRM API from your scenario, using the connection you already set up, for jobs the other five modules do not cover.

When to use it
when you need to read, search or change data in MobiCRM, since the listed modules only create records.
Watch out
this module expects you to know the endpoint and its parameters, which means reading the MobiCRM API documentation first.

FAQ

MobiCRM and Make: common questions

01Is the MobiCRM Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. MobiCRM is a standard app, available from the Free plan like the 3,000+ other standard apps. The Free plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum interval of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans lower the interval to 1 minute and allow unlimited active scenarios. You still need your own MobiCRM subscription, which Make does not cover.
02What do you need to connect MobiCRM to Make?
An active MobiCRM account and the credential it uses to sign in to outside tools. The doc says that, depending on the authentication scheme, this may be an API key, OAuth credentials or other login details. In Make you add a MobiCRM module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then authorize Make or paste your key, and click Save. The same connection then serves all 6 modules. Once saved, you will not need to reconnect for each new scenario.
03Can MobiCRM trigger a Make scenario in real time?
No. MobiCRM has no trigger module in Make, neither scheduled nor instant, so it cannot start a scenario on its own. The scenario has to begin somewhere else: with a trigger from another app, such as a form or a chat tool, or with Make's own schedule on the first module, which runs every 15 minutes by default. The MobiCRM modules then come after that first step. In practice, pick the app where the event really happens as your starting point.
04What if the MobiCRM module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. The listed modules only create records, so any read, search or update has to go through this module, which calls any endpoint of the MobiCRM API with the connection you already have. Keep in mind that the official Make doc for MobiCRM warns that its own content is AI-generated and may contain mistakes, so confirm endpoint details with MobiCRM before relying on them. Start by testing the call with Run once before switching the scenario on.
05Should you use Make or n8n for MobiCRM?
It depends on how you like to work. Make gives you 6 ready-made MobiCRM modules and a visual editor where every step is a module you click together, which suits people new to automation. The same app often has an n8n node too, so check the n8n side if your team already runs workflows there. Compare both editors on your own use case rather than on a general ranking. Our n8n vs Make comparison, linked above, lays out the criteria side by side.
