Address Guard Zapier integrationAutomate Address Guard with Zapier.
The Address Guard Zapier integration offers 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. Each action checks one thing: a shipping address, an email address or a phone number. Another app always starts the Zap, and Address Guard checks what it sends.

What the Address Guard Zapier integration actually does
Address Guard checks contact details before you rely on them: shipping addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. What you get: you learn that a detail is wrong before a parcel, an email or a sales call goes out to it. On Zapier, it is a checking step you place between the app that collects data and the one that uses it.
Three results people build. A newsletter list that stays clean: every new sign-up goes through Validate Email Address before it reaches the email tool, so typos never make it to a send. Parcels that reach the door: a store runs Validate Address on each order before the label is printed. A sales team that calls real numbers: Validate Phone Number checks a lead's phone before it is assigned to a rep.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no trigger, so Address Guard never starts a Zap by itself. There is no search step either. Each action checks one value per run, there is no bulk check, and records that existed before the Zap was switched on are left as they are. Using the result, for instance skipping a bad email, takes a further step, which makes the Zap multi-step.
If you would rather have someone set this up with you, the Zapier agency page explains how the team works, and the Zapier training covers building Zaps like these on your own.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Address Guard has none, so the trigger always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or checks something for you, here a contact detail.
- Task
- What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, such as a check that passed, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What an Address Guard Zap really costs
Address Guard is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. The Zapier bill is counted in tasks.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- One checkOne task
- Email plus phone on one leadTwo tasks
The other app's trigger costs nothing, and neither do Zapier's checks for new items. Every check that completes is one task: validating the email and the phone of the same lead is two tasks. A check that does not go through, for instance because a required field is empty, is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and polls every 15 minutes, for two-step Zaps only. So a lone check fits. Adding a filter that drops bad results, or a step that saves them, makes the Zap multi-step and calls for a paid plan.
Connect your Address Guard account to Zapier
- 01
Open the connections page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an Address Guard account of your own, plus access to any record you do not own that the Zap should check.
- 02
Find Address Guard
Type Address Guard in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Address Guard side of things.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Address Guard in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then shows up in your list and all three checks can reuse it.
Your first Zap: check every newsletter sign-up
GoalEach new Typeform sign-up has its email checked, and only addresses that pass are added to the mailing list.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap with Typeform and New Entry as the event, then pick the sign-up form you want to watch from your account.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent entries of the form, so choose one with a real email to build the next steps on.
- 03
Add the email check
Add Address Guard with Validate Email Address and map the email answer of the form into the email field. Test it and read what came back.
- 04
Filter, then subscribe
Add a Filter that lets the Zap go on only when the check passed, then Mailchimp to add the subscriber. This makes the Zap multi-step, so a paid plan.
- 05
Publish
Test the whole Zap once with a good email and once with a broken one, check that only the first reaches the list, then click Publish.
The three Address Guard actions
Address Guard gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Validate Address
ActionIn Zapier“Validate a shipping address”
Checks a shipping address before anything gets posted to it, so returned parcels become the exception rather than the routine.
Validate Email Address
ActionIn Zapier“Validate Email Address”
Tells you whether an email address is worth sending to, before it lands in your email tool and drags your bounce rate up.
Validate Phone Number
ActionIn Zapier“Validate phone number”
Runs a check on a phone number so a call list holds numbers someone can actually dial.
When an Address Guard Zap breaks
Address Guard has no Zapier help article of its own and no published rate limit. What breaks is mostly the Zap around the check.
Four situations account for most surprises. None of them is specific to Address Guard, and each one is easy to avoid once you know it. If a Zap still misbehaves after that, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the usual checks.
Existing contacts are never checked
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Contacts and orders already in your tools stay unchecked, and cleaning them is a separate job.The Zap keeps restarting itself
Writing the check result back into the very place the trigger watches can set the Zap off again and again, and burns through the task count fast.A large import stalls
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. The same record is never checked twice
Zapier remembers what it already saw on a polling trigger, so the same item starts the Zap once.
