Overview

What the Fidelimax Zapier integration does for your loyalty program

Connecting Fidelimax to Zapier means another app feeds your loyalty program without anyone retyping a sale. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then the steps that run every time it happens) can sign a buyer up, credit points on the amount spent, or pull a balance into the next step.

Three results come back again and again. First, a member file that fills itself: Create Customer registers the buyer in the program the moment your store or form reports them. Second, points that match the receipt: Add Point Customer takes the value of the transaction and credits it, so the counter at the till and the online shop give the same reward. Third, a balance you can reuse: Find Customer and Find Customer's Loyalty Data read what a member holds and which tier they sit in, ready for an email or a CRM record.

Now the limits, because they shape every design. Zapier lists no trigger for Fidelimax, so nothing that happens inside Fidelimax can start a Zap: a new member, a redeemed reward or a tier change stays invisible to Zapier. The app also offers no update and no delete action. Every Zap here starts in another tool (a shop, a payment app, a spreadsheet) and pushes data in.

If you are weighing other platforms, the Fidelimax Make integration page and the Make vs Zapier comparison are the next stops, to set the five actions above against another platform before you build.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on this page. Each one is defined once here, then used as is.

Trigger
The event in an app that starts a Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event, and Fidelimax has none of its own.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or reads something for you, like crediting points to a member.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action that completes successfully, and your plan counts a monthly number of them.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen yet.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports by itself, calling Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for the next scheduled check.
Filter
A step that checks what arrived against your condition: the Zap carries on when it passes and ends there when it does not.
Connection
Zapier stores your Fidelimax login after the first sign-in, so the next Zaps that credit points or read balances skip that step.
Cost

What a Fidelimax Zap really costs

Fidelimax is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The bill depends on actions, never on the trigger.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • BilledEach successful action, one task each
  • Not billedThe trigger, the checks, failed actions

The trigger in the other app costs nothing, and neither does Zapier checking for new data. Each Fidelimax action that succeeds counts one task, and a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Registering a buyer and then crediting points is two actions, so that Zap, like any Zap with a filter, needs a paid plan. A Zap limited to crediting points stays free.

Connect

Connect your Fidelimax account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an existing Fidelimax account first, with rights on the program the Zap will write to.

  2. 02

    Pick Fidelimax

Type Fidelimax in the search box of the dialog, select it, then confirm with Add connection. A new tab opens on the Fidelimax side to identify your account.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Fidelimax in that tab and allow Zapier to act on the account. From then on, every Fidelimax step in every Zap reuses this one connection without asking again.

First Zap

Your first Zap: a Shopify order becomes points

GoalEach new Shopify order registers the buyer in Fidelimax and credits points on the amount paid.

  1. 01

    Build the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Shopify as the starting app and New Order as the event. Fidelimax cannot open a Zap, so the store does that job here.

  2. 02

    Test with a real order

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders of the connected store, so you pick a real one to map instead of guessing.

  3. 03

    Register the buyer

Add Fidelimax with Create Customer and map the buyer details from the order into the fields Fidelimax asks for. Test it once and check the member appears in the program.

  4. 04

    Credit the points

Add a second Fidelimax step, Add Point Customer, and map the order total into Money value. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, so it runs on a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only orders placed after this moment are processed, and each run costs two tasks when both steps succeed.

Actions

The 5 Fidelimax actions on Zapier

Fidelimax gives you 5 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Customer

Action

In Zapier“Registration of consumers in the loyalty program”

Signs a new person up in your loyalty program, so their purchases can start earning from the next step on.

When to use it
right after a first order or a store sign-up form, before any points are credited.
Watch out
on the free plan this action fills the only action slot, so crediting points in the same Zap means upgrading.
2

Find Customer

Action

In Zapier“Consult consumer balances”

Looks up a member and returns their points balance, which the following steps can drop into a message or a record.

When to use it
a recap email or a CRM field that should show how many points a shopper holds right now.
Watch out
it reads, it writes nothing, yet a successful lookup still counts one task.
3

Find Customer Personal Data

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve personal data registered on loyalty program”

Brings back the personal details a member registered in the program. Two switches decide whether the registered address and the tags attached to that person come back too.

When to use it
syncing a member's profile into your email tool or a shipping sheet.
Watch out
leave the address and tag options off unless a later step really uses them.
4

Find Customer's Loyalty Data

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve detailed loyalty program information for a customer.”

Returns the detailed loyalty picture of one member. With the Customer Category option switched on, the answer includes the tier they are currently enrolled in.

When to use it
tagging VIP buyers in your CRM or routing them to a dedicated support queue.
Watch out
without that option, the tier is simply missing from the result, so a step that expects it gets nothing.
5

Add Point Customer

Action

In Zapier“Add points to a customer in loyalty program”

Credits points to a member based on the value of a transaction, such as the gross amount of a sales order.

When to use it
every paid order, payment or till sale that should earn rewards.
Watch out
Money value is mandatory and read in reais (R$). The Reversal option cancels a past credit, needs the verifier, and reverses the whole amount of that transaction, never part of it.
When it breaks

When a Fidelimax Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Fidelimax, so the known failure points come from how Zapier itself behaves.

Most problems show up on the trigger side, in the app that starts the Zap, or on the amount sent to Add Point Customer. Four cases cover what to watch.

  • Past sales are never picked up

A Zap only reacts to events after it is switched on. Orders from before publishing earn no points through Zapier, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A bulk import gets held back

When the starting app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of crediting them all at once.
  • The same order counted twice

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers the items it has already seen, so one order does not start the Zap twice and credit points again.
  • Points that do not match the receipt

Money value is read in reais (R$). A store selling in another currency sends a figure Fidelimax treats as reais, and the credit comes out wrong.

FAQ

Fidelimax Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Fidelimax Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as the Zap stays at two steps. Fidelimax is not a premium app, so the free plan accepts it, with 100 tasks a month and Zaps made of one trigger and one action. The catch is that a useful Fidelimax Zap often needs two actions, such as registering a buyer and then crediting points. That makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The same goes for any Zap where you add a filter before the Fidelimax step.
02How many tasks does a Fidelimax Zap use?
One task per Fidelimax action that succeeds, and nothing else. The trigger in the starting app is free, the checks Zapier runs to find new data are free, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap that registers a buyer and then credits points therefore costs two tasks per order. A Zap that only credits points costs one. Lookups count too: Find Customer reads a balance, writes nothing, and still uses a task when it works.
03Does Fidelimax update in real time through Zapier?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, because Fidelimax has no trigger of its own. If that app offers an instant trigger, the Fidelimax action runs as soon as the event happens, whatever your plan. If it is a polling trigger, Zapier checks at an interval set by the plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. So pick the starting app with that in mind when speed matters.
04What does it take to connect Fidelimax to Zapier?
An active Fidelimax account and access to the loyalty program the Zap will write to. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Fidelimax, confirm, then sign in and allow access in the tab that opens. The connection is made once and every later Fidelimax step reuses it. Before the first real run, make sure the starting app carries an order amount, since crediting points requires a Money value.
05Why are the points credited to the wrong amount?
Usually because of the currency. Add Point Customer reads Money value in Brazilian reais (R$), as the gross amount of the transaction. If the store or payment app sends a total in another currency, Fidelimax treats that figure as reais and the reward no longer matches the receipt. Check the field you mapped during the test, and convert upstream if needed. For a refund, the Reversal option cancels the whole transaction amount, not part of it.
06What if the Fidelimax operation you want is missing?
Then Zapier does not offer it today, and the editor will not show a hidden menu for it. The app exposes exactly five actions: Create Customer, Find Customer, Find Customer Personal Data, Find Customer's Loyalty Data and Add Point Customer. There is no trigger, no update and no delete. A Zap cannot react to a reward being redeemed in Fidelimax, for instance. If your process depends on one of those, plan it around another tool or ask a specialist to review the design.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Fidelimax?
Judge it on three criteria rather than on a ranking. First, the operations: on Zapier you get five actions and no trigger, so compare that list with what each other platform documents for Fidelimax. Second, the cost model: Zapier bills one task per successful action and limits the free plan to two-step Zaps. Third, the starting event: since Fidelimax cannot start a Zap here, the app that feeds it matters as much as Fidelimax itself.
