Overview

What the Liveweb Zapier integration does for you

The Liveweb Zapier integration connects Liveweb, the tool that lets you chat with your website visitors and talk to them by audio or video, to Zapier, a service that chains steps between apps. Liveweb reports what visitors do, and Zapier passes it to the tools where you follow up.

Emails that reach your list on their own. Chatbot Captured an Email fires when the chatbot gets a visitor's address, and the next step adds it to your mailing tool. No more copying addresses out of chat transcripts.

Meetings that land in the calendar. Meeting Scheduled reports each meeting a visitor books, so a calendar event or a reminder can be created right away.

A record of every call. Call Log and Answer Call Link let you keep a line per call in a spreadsheet, which gives you a history outside Liveweb.

Good news on timing: all nine Liveweb triggers are instant. Liveweb tells Zapier the moment something happens, so even the free plan reacts straight away.

What Zapier does not do here: it never writes into Liveweb. There is no action and no search on this app, so a Zap can start from Liveweb but cannot send a message, book a meeting or look anything up inside it. Every Liveweb Zap therefore ends in another app.

To weigh Zapier against other tools first, n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier set out the criteria.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Six words matter on this page. Here they are once, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the starting event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something in an app. With Liveweb, it is always another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a check. All Liveweb triggers work this way.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Cost

What a Liveweb Zap really costs

Liveweb is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works on the free plan. The trigger is free; you pay for what the other app does.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • BilledEach successful action, never the trigger
  • Liveweb triggers9, all instant

A Liveweb trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds afterwards counts once, so a Zap that adds a contact and sends a message uses two tasks per run. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but only two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks polling triggers on each plan; it does not apply to Liveweb, whose nine triggers are all instant.

Connect

Connect Liveweb to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Liveweb account linked once, then reused by every Zap that starts from Liveweb.

  2. 02

    Pick Liveweb

Search for Liveweb in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need a Liveweb account, with access to the conversations and meetings you want Zapier to hear about.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

A tab opens on Liveweb. Sign in there and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then appears in your list, ready for any Liveweb trigger.

First Zap

Your first Liveweb Zap: chatbot emails into your mailing tool

GoalEach time the Liveweb chatbot captures a visitor's email, add that address as a contact in your mailing tool.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Liveweb as the app that starts it and Chatbot Captured an Email as the event, with the connection you added.

  2. 02

    Test with real data

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the account, so you map the next steps on a real captured email.

  3. 03

    Add your mailing tool

Add your mailing tool as the action app, with its event for adding a contact. Map the email address captured by the chatbot into its email field.

  4. 04

    Test the action

Run the action test once, then open your mailing tool and check that the new contact is there with the right address. Fix the mapping now if it is not.

  5. 05

    Publish

Publish the Zap to switch it on. With one trigger and one action it fits the free plan, and each new captured email goes out the moment Liveweb reports it.

Triggers

Liveweb triggers: nine ways to start a Zap

9 events start a Zap when something happens in Liveweb, and 9 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Answer Call Link

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when visitor calls.”

Fires when a visitor calls you through Liveweb. Zapier features it for this app, and it is the natural start for anything that should follow an incoming call, such as an alert to your team.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a colleague should be alerted in your team chat whenever a visitor calls from the website.
Watch out
it signals the call itself; the record of the call comes through Call Log.
2

Attend a Meeting Requested

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a visitor attends a meeting.”

Starts the Zap when a visitor attends a meeting through Liveweb. It marks the moment the meeting actually happens, which is different from the moment it was booked.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
attended meetings should be counted in a spreadsheet, separately from bookings.
Watch out
booking and attending are two triggers; pick Meeting Scheduled if you want to act at the booking stage instead.
3

Attend a Meeting Cancelled

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a visitor cancels attend a meeting request.”

Reacts when a visitor cancels a request to attend a meeting. It lets the rest of your tools forget a slot that will not be used.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a calendar event created for that meeting should be updated, or the person in charge told.
Watch out
Zapier cannot touch Liveweb in return, so any cleanup happens only in the other app.
4

Call Log

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when call logs.”

Fires when Liveweb logs a call. It is the trigger to use when you want a lasting record of calls rather than a live alert, since it arrives with the logged call.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
each call should become a row in a sheet or an activity in your CRM.
Watch out
combined with Answer Call Link in two Zaps, one call can produce two records.
5

Chatbot Asked for an Email

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when chatbot asks visitor for an email address.”

Goes off when the chatbot asks a visitor for an email address. At that point the visitor has not necessarily answered, so this trigger measures the question, not the answer.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
you want to count how often the chatbot asks, to compare with the emails it actually gets.
Watch out
to collect the address itself, use Chatbot Captured an Email.
6

Chatbot Captured an Email

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when chatbot captures visitor`s email address.”

Fires when the chatbot has captured a visitor's email address. This is the trigger that turns a chat on your site into a contact you can follow up.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
every captured address should land in your mailing tool or your CRM without anyone copying it.
Watch out
sending to a mailing list and to a CRM in the same Zap makes it multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
8

Meeting Scheduled

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a visitor schedules a meeting.”

Reports every meeting a visitor schedules through Liveweb. Zapier features it for this app, and it is the trigger that keeps your calendar and your follow-up tools in line with bookings.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
each booking should create an event in your calendar or a task in your project tool.
Watch out
a later cancellation arrives on its own trigger, so plan a second Zap if you want to undo the event.
9

New Message

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new message is created.”

Runs on every new message created in Liveweb. It is the broadest trigger of the app, and Zapier features it as one of the main ones.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
messages from visitors should reach a team channel so someone can answer even away from Liveweb.
Watch out
a busy chat creates many messages, and every action after this trigger counts as a task.
When it breaks

When a Liveweb Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Liveweb, so the cases below are the general ones that apply to its triggers.

Three situations explain most Liveweb Zaps that seem broken. If yours is something else, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Past chats never arrive

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Messages, calls and meetings from before stay in Liveweb; moving that history is a separate job.
  • A sudden wave is held back

If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running every one of them.
  • A second step needs a paid plan

On the free plan, a Zap stops at one trigger and one action. Adding a filter or a second action makes it multi-step, and that needs a paid plan.

FAQ

Liveweb Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Liveweb Zapier integration free?
Yes. Liveweb is not a premium app, so the free plan can use it, with 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The limit is the shape of the Zap: one trigger and one action. Sending a captured email both to your mailing tool and to your CRM takes two actions, so that Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. You also need your own Liveweb account, since Zapier only connects to it.
02How many tasks does a Liveweb Zap use?
Only the actions that succeed in the other app count. The Liveweb trigger itself is free, whatever the number of chats. A Zap that logs every call into a spreadsheet uses one task per call. If you build on New Message, keep in mind that a long chat can create many messages, and each one runs the Zap, so each one costs its action. A failed action is not counted.
03Does Liveweb send events to Zapier in real time?
Yes, for all nine triggers. Liveweb tells Zapier the moment a visitor calls, writes, books or cancels a meeting, opens a Livelink or answers the chatbot, and the Zap starts right away. That holds on every plan, including the free one. The polling interval grid of Zapier plans does not apply here, which makes Liveweb one of the apps where the free plan loses nothing on timing. In the editor, a Zap built on one of these triggers shows a lightning bolt.
04What does it take to connect Liveweb to Zapier?
A Liveweb account, with access to the conversations and meetings you want to automate. In Zapier you open the Apps page, click + Add connection, pick Liveweb, then sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved and reused by every Zap that starts from Liveweb, so you only do this once. None of the nine triggers asks for a required field afterwards: once the account is linked, you just pick the event that should start the Zap.
05Can a Zap reply to a visitor or book a meeting in Liveweb?
No. Liveweb offers triggers only on Zapier: no action and no search. A Zap can start from what happens in Liveweb, but it cannot send a chat message, book a meeting or look up a visitor inside Liveweb. Every Liveweb Zap ends in another app, such as a calendar, a spreadsheet or a mailing tool. Anything that has to happen inside Liveweb stays a manual step for your team, done in Liveweb itself.
06What if the Liveweb event you need is not in the list?
Then Zapier cannot start from it, because the nine triggers are the whole Liveweb offer here, with no action, no search and no raw request step. Check first whether a nearby trigger covers the need: Call Log versus Answer Call Link, or Chatbot Asked for an Email versus Chatbot Captured an Email often make the difference. If none fits, compare what other automation tools offer for Liveweb before building a workaround.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Liveweb?
Choose on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, Liveweb brings 9 instant triggers and nothing else, so the useful question is what your other apps can do with them. Count the actions you need per event, since each successful action is billed. Check whether two steps are enough, since more requires a paid plan. Then compare the same points across the three tools before choosing, with your own scenarios in hand.
