Overview

What the myRealPage Zapier integration actually does

It lets what visitors submit on your myRealPage website start work in your other tools. Zapier runs automations called Zaps: each one waits for an event in one app, then does something in another. With myRealPage, the event is always on the website side, because the integration offers triggers only.

Inquiries that reach your CRM. New Listing Inquiry hands every inquiry submitted on a listing to the next step, so a contact is created where your team works, without copying it from an email.

One feed of every lead. New or Updated Lead (Including Potential & VOW Users) covers leads coming from any website form, which makes it the broad option when you want a single log of everything.

A precise form, mapped field by field. Custom Form Submissions (Access Token Required) follows one custom form built in a block, with its own fields, and New Market Insight Signup does the same for market insight signups.

What Zapier does not do here: it cannot write anything back into myRealPage, since the integration has no action, and it cannot look up an existing lead, since it has no search. Every trigger is a polling one, so nothing starts the very moment a form is sent. And no Zap goes back over leads that arrived before it was switched on.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary, in plain words

Seven words come back on this page. Here is what each one means when the Zap starts on myRealPage.

Zap
The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap, such as a new listing inquiry. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started. With myRealPage, every action comes from another app, a CRM or a sheet.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what is new. All four here are.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a myRealPage Zap costs you

The four myRealPage triggers never cost a task, however often Zapier checks them. What Zapier bills is the action that follows in the other app, once per successful run.

  • Premium appNo, myRealPage works on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • Trigger costNone, only successful actions count
  • myRealPage triggers4, all polling

An action that fails is not counted, and in a Zap with several actions each successful one counts on its own; a few apps and actions take more than one task. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Because the four triggers are polling ones, the interval grid below applies to them directly: it is how long a new lead can wait before Zapier sees it.

Connect

Connect your myRealPage account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your myRealPage account linked once, then reused by every step that reads from myRealPage.

  2. 02

    Pick myRealPage

Type myRealPage in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the myRealPage sign-in screen, where the rest of the setup happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to myRealPage in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: listing inquiries into your CRM

GoalEach new listing inquiry on your myRealPage site that meets your condition becomes a contact in your CRM.

  1. 01

    Build the trigger

Create a Zap, choose myRealPage and the New Listing Inquiry event, then select your myRealPage connection so Zapier knows which site to read.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map fields on a real inquiry, not a placeholder.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

From the plus icon, add Filter, then set the field to look at, the rule and the value. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so this step needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the CRM step

Pick your CRM and its create-contact action, then map the inquiry fields from the trigger into the contact fields you want filled.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back. When the contact looks right in your CRM, click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Triggers

myRealPage triggers in Zapier

4 events start a Zap when something happens in myRealPage. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New or Updated Lead (Including Potential & VOW Users)

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when any lead, potential lead or a VOW user is created or updated (from any website form)”

Picks up any lead, potential lead or VOW user that is created or updated through a form on your website, and hands it to the next step.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
you want one stream of everything the site collects, in a sheet or a CRM.
Watch out
the Options field, which filters leads by type, is mandatory, and because it also covers updates, check at test whether a known lead can come through again.
2

Custom Form Submissions (Access Token Required)

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers for a specific custom form including form field mapping [requires a token generated from the form within a block]”

Follows one specific custom form and brings its fields across mapped one by one, so each answer lands in the right column or field downstream.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
a form you built yourself asks questions the standard lead trigger does not carry, and those answers matter.
Watch out
it needs the Access Token generated from the form inside its block, in the format XXXX-XXXX; no token, no trigger.
3

New Listing Inquiry

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new listing inquiry has been submitted”

Starts the Zap when someone submits an inquiry about a listing, which makes it the most direct route from a listing to your follow-up tools.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
inquiries should reach the person who answers them in a CRM or a shared inbox, not sit in an email folder.
Watch out
only inquiries sent after the Zap is published come through; earlier ones stay in myRealPage.
4

New Market Insight Signup

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new market insight sign is created.”

Reacts to each new market insight signup on your site and passes the person on to the next step of the Zap.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
people who sign up for market insights should also land in a sheet or in a list your team reviews.
Watch out
run the test once a signup exists, so Zapier can bring back a real one to map from.
When it breaks

When a myRealPage Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article for myRealPage, so the cases below come from how Zapier treats every app, plus the two mandatory fields the triggers ask for.

Read these six cases before you publish. If a Zap still misbehaves, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Older leads are never picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads and inquiries received earlier stay out; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • Custom form trigger will not set up

Custom Form Submissions needs the Access Token from the form inside its block, in the format XXXX-XXXX. Copy it again from the blocks editor and check at test.
  • The lead trigger asks for Options

New or Updated Lead makes the Options field mandatory: it filters leads by type. Fill it in before testing, then check at test what comes back.
  • Leads arrive later than expected

All four triggers are polling ones. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2, on Team and Enterprise every minute.
  • The same item does not fire twice

Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
  • A big import is held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.

FAQ

myRealPage Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the myRealPage Zapier integration free?
Yes, for two-step Zaps. myRealPage is not a premium app, so its four triggers work on the free plan, which gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to one trigger and one action. A listing inquiry that creates one contact in your CRM fits that. Add a filter to keep only some inquiries, or a second action, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a myRealPage Zap use?
One per successful action, per run, and none for the trigger. Zapier can check myRealPage for new leads as often as your plan allows without costing a task; only the action in the other app is billed. A Zap that turns each inquiry into one CRM contact costs one task per inquiry. An action that fails is not counted. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so check the count after your first runs.
03Do myRealPage triggers fire in real time?
No. All four are polling triggers: Zapier goes to myRealPage at a fixed interval and picks up what is new. On the free plan that is every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2 minutes, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also change how often a polling trigger checks, or run a check by hand from the editor. The type is set by the app itself and cannot be switched to instant from Zapier.
04What does it take to connect myRealPage to Zapier?
A myRealPage account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. You add the connection from the Apps page of Zapier with + Add connection, sign in to myRealPage in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is made once and reused by every myRealPage step. For Custom Form Submissions, you also need the form's Access Token from the blocks editor.
05Where does the Access Token for a myRealPage custom form come from?
From the form itself, inside its block in the myRealPage blocks editor. Custom Form Submissions (Access Token Required) will not run without it: you copy the token generated for that form and paste it into the Access Token field of the trigger, in the format XXXX-XXXX. The trigger follows one specific custom form, the one that generated the token. If the test returns nothing usable, copy the token again from the block and retest.
06What if the myRealPage operation you need is not there?
Then Zapier cannot do that step with myRealPage today. The myRealPage page on Zapier shows the current list of operations, and that is the reference: right now it holds four triggers and no action or search. So anything that should change data inside myRealPage is out of reach of this integration. The other side of the Zap can still do a lot, because every action comes from another app. If the step must happen in myRealPage, compare other automation tools first.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for myRealPage?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. Start with what you need: on Zapier, myRealPage offers four polling triggers and nothing that writes back, so check what each tool exposes for myRealPage before anything else. Then compare how often each one checks for new leads on the plan you would pay for, how each one bills a run, and who on your side will maintain the automation once it is live.
