Olivya Zapier integrationAutomate Olivya with Zapier.
The Olivya Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action, and no search. Enough to react when an AI phone agent hangs up, or to have an agent dial a number from another app. It works on the free plan, and the trigger is instant.

What the Olivya Zapier integration actually does
Olivya is where you build AI phone agents and put many of them to work. Hooking it up to Zapier means two things: a finished call can start an automation, and an automation can ask one of your agents to place a call. That is the whole surface, and it is enough for a lot of real work.
Three results you can get out of it. A record of every call, wherever you keep records: Call Ended starts the Zap when an agent hangs up, and the next step files what came back in the tool your team already reads. An outbound call fired by another tool: Place a Call dials from one of your numbers to the one you map in, so a new lead or a booked slot can turn into a phone call with nobody touching a keypad. A call whose outcome feeds the next step: switch on the wait option of Place a Call and the Zap holds until the call ends, then hands the transcript and the other call details to whatever follows.
What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. There is no search, so a Zap cannot look up a past call or an agent from Olivya. There is no action to create, edit or delete an agent: you build those inside Olivya. And nothing that happened before the Zap was switched on gets picked up.

Zapier words, in plain English
Seven words come back on every line below. Here is what each one means before you open the editor.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or, here, dials something on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully; your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Olivya account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step in every Zap that touches Olivya.
What an Olivya Zap really costs
Zapier bills completed actions, not events. The Call Ended trigger never costs a task, whatever the number of calls your agents handle.
- Trigger0 task
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2-step Zaps
- Premium appNo
Each action that goes through counts as one task, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions eats three times what a one-action Zap eats. Olivya is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, but only two steps per Zap. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step (anything beyond one trigger and one action), which needs a paid plan. The polling grid below does not touch Olivya's trigger, since it is instant.
Connect your Olivya account in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an Olivya account first, plus access to anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to use.
- 02
Pick Olivya
Type Olivya in the search box of the dialog that appears, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Olivya side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Olivya in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is then saved once, and it shows up in every Zap step that uses Olivya from now on.
Your first Olivya Zap: a follow-up call after a call ends
GoalWhen one of your Olivya agents finishes a call that meets your condition, another agent calls a second number, for instance a manager's line.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Olivya as the app and
Call Endedas the event. Select your Olivya connection, then enter the Agent ID of the agent to watch. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real call rather than a guess.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add Filter. Choose the field to look at, the rule and the value. Mind the rule type: a text rule only works on text. This step makes the Zap multi-step.
- 04
Add the action
Add Olivya again with
Place a Call. Fill the From number and the To number. Turn on the wait option only if a later step needs the transcript. - 05
Test and publish
Test the action once and read what came back, keeping in mind that a real call goes out. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.
The Olivya trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Olivya, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Call Ended
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when call is ended.”
Starts your Zap each time a call handled by the Olivya agent you pick comes to an end. It is the hook for everything that should happen after the phone goes down: a note in your CRM, a message to the team, a follow-up call.
The Olivya action
Olivya gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Place a Call
ActionIn Zapier“Places a call from and to a given number.”
Has Olivya dial out from one of your numbers to the number your Zap maps in. A form entry or a new deal can become a live call in the same run.
When an Olivya Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Olivya, so the snags below are the general ones that hit any Zap. With a phone agent, each of them costs real calls.
Read them before you publish. For a Zap that still misbehaves, see Zapier troubleshooting.
No catch-up on past calls
A Zap only reacts to calls that end after it is switched on. Earlier calls stay where they are; moving that history is a separate job.A loop that keeps dialing
A Zap that starts on Call Ended and then places a call with the same agent can set itself off again and again, burning through your task count fast.Flood protection on big batches
If a burst of events lands at once, after a bulk import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch back instead of running it all.Wrong rule type in the filter
A filter rule is typed. A text rule pointed at a number never passes, and the call you expected never goes out, with no error to warn you.
