Nibo Zapier integrationAutomate Nibo with Zapier.
The Nibo Zapier integration gives you 7 actions and 3 searches, and no trigger. Another app starts the Zap; Nibo then records customers, suppliers, categories, debits and credits, or schedules them, and finds what already exists.

What the Nibo Zapier integration does for you
Nibo is a financial management app for small and mid-sized companies. Zapier links it to your other tools through a Zap: an automation that starts on an event in one app, then runs one or more steps for you. With Nibo, those steps write into your finances; the event always comes from another app.
Receipts recorded without retyping. Create a Credit records a receipt with its category, customer, bank account, value, date and description. Fed by a row in a spreadsheet, it saves the copy and paste into Nibo.
A customer list that stays clean. Find or Create a Customer looks for the customer first and, with the find-or-create box ticked, creates it only when it is missing. Put it before the credit and you avoid duplicates.
Bills planned ahead. Schedule Debit creates a scheduled debit with a schedule date and a due date, so an upcoming payment to a supplier shows up in Nibo before it is due.
What Zapier does not do here. Nibo has no trigger on Zapier, so nothing that happens in Nibo can start a Zap. None of the ten operations edits or deletes a record either: the integration adds and looks up, nothing more. If you are weighing platforms, see our Make vs Zapier comparison or our n8n vs Zapier comparison.
Zapier vocabulary, in one minute
Eight terms come back on this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Nibo has none, so with Nibo the trigger always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, here in Nibo.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those and nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier at a fixed interval. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps after it can use what it found.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What Nibo costs you in Zapier tasks
Nibo is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, and only completed actions count.
- Triggernever costs a task
- Successful action1 task each
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appno
The trigger of the other app never costs a task. Each Nibo action that goes through costs one; an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps. Any of the three Nibo searches, a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below only applies if the app that starts your Zap has a polling trigger; Nibo has no trigger of its own.
Connect your Nibo account to Zapier
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Nibo account linked once, then reused by every step that writes to or searches Nibo.
- 02
Pick Nibo and sign in
Search for Nibo by name in the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A tab opens on Nibo: sign in with the Nibo account the Zap should work with.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to use that account on the last screen. You need a Nibo account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
Your first Nibo Zap, step by step
GoalTurn each new spreadsheet row into a Nibo credit, reusing the customer if it exists and creating it if not.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and pick your spreadsheet as the app that starts it, with its new-row event. Connect the account and choose the sheet.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map fields from a real row and not a guess.
- 03
Add the customer search
Add
Find or Create a Customer, set Organization, Search Field and Search Value, and tick Create X if it doesn't exist yet? if a missing customer should be created. - 04
Add the credit
Add
Create a Creditand fill Category, Bank Account, Value, Date and Description; map Customer from what the search step returned, once the test shows it fits that field. A search makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan. - 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the credit looks right in Nibo, publish the Zap to switch it on. For a guided pass, see our Zapier training.
Nibo actions
Nibo gives you 7 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Records a payment in Nibo. Organization, Category, Bank Account, Supplier, Value, Date and Description are all required, and Favorite is optional.
Create a Credit
ActionIn Zapier“Create a receipt.”

Plans a receipt instead of a payment. Organization, Category, Value, Schedule Date, Due Date, Customer and Description are required; Favorite is optional.
Schedule Debit
ActionIn Zapier“Create a schedule debit.”
Creates a scheduled debit: a payment planned for later. It asks for Organization, Category, Value, Schedule Date, Due Date, Supplier and Description, plus an optional Favorite.
Create Supplier
ActionIn Zapier“Create a supplier.”
The supplier side of the same move: a new supplier in Nibo with just an Organization and a Name.
Nibo searches
3 search steps look for data that already exists in Nibo, so a later step can use it.
A search step creates nothing by default: it finds what already exists in Nibo and hands it to the next steps. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under the SEARCH heading. Three settings decide what happens next.
Find a Category
SearchIn Zapier“Find a category.”
Looks up an existing Nibo category. Organization and Description are required.
Find or Create a Customer
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Find a customer.”
Finds a customer from a Search Field and a Search Value, inside the required Organization. The editor also shows Find or Create Customer: it is this same search with the find-or-create box ticked, not another operation.
Find or Create a Supplier
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Find a supplier.”
Finds a supplier the same way, from a Search Field and a Search Value within an Organization. The Find or Create Supplier line in the editor is this search with the creation box ticked.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and the steps that depend on it are skipped. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking this box turns the search into a find-or-create. The setting above then disappears, and the step asks for the fields needed to create the missing item.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all of them on.
When a Nibo Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Nibo, so the cases below are the general Zapier limits that apply to it.
Each case comes with a plain cause and a plain way out. If a Zap still misbehaves, open our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Older rows never reach Nibo
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Rows or records that existed before are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.The Zap keeps restarting itself
As a general precaution, a Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your tasks.A big batch is held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back. The Zap stops at a search
If a Nibo search finds nothing and the setting is on its default, the Zap stops there and the debit or credit after it is skipped.
