What you can automate

What does the CDP & CRM CareCloud Make integration do?

It links your CareCloud customer data platform to Make, the no-code tool where you build a scenario: the automation itself, a chain of modules. Each module is one brick. Here you get 16 actions that create or change records and 19 searches that read them. Another app or a schedule starts the flow, because CareCloud has no trigger.

Every new shopper lands in the CDP. A form tool or an online store starts the scenario, Search Customers checks whether the person is already known, and Create a New Customer adds the ones who are not. No CSV file to import by hand.

Orders feed loyalty. When a checkout tool confirms a sale, Create a Purchase writes it to CareCloud and Get Points Overview reads the customer's balance for the thank-you message.

Campaigns respect consent. Before an email tool sends a promotion, Search Customer Consents looks at each recipient, and Create a New Event logs the send on their profile.

What it does not do: start a scenario by itself, since the app has no trigger module. Make also marks its documentation for this app as limited, so the notes below follow the module names, and Run once shows what each module really returns. Anything missing goes through Make an API Call. The same app often has an n8n node as well; the n8n vs Make comparison helps you choose, the Make training covers the editor basics, and the Make agency can build the flow for you.

Connect

How do you connect CDP & CRM CareCloud to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a CareCloud module

Open a scenario, click the +, search for CDP & CRM CareCloud and pick any of its modules. In the module panel, click Create a connection. A connection is your CareCloud account, linked to Make once.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize Make

Give the connection a name if you like, which helps once you manage more than one account. Then either approve Make on the CareCloud page that opens, or paste the key CareCloud gives you, depending on what the window asks for.

  3. 03

    Save and check the list

Click Save. Back in the module, Make can now list what it reads from your account. When that list fills up, the connection works and every other CareCloud module can reuse it.

First scenario

Your first scenario: turn form sign-ups into CareCloud customers

GoalWhen someone fills in a sign-up form in another app, Make creates the matching customer in CDP & CRM CareCloud.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. This one belongs to your form app, not to CareCloud.

  2. 02

    Set the starting module

Search your form app by name, choose the module that picks up new submissions and connect your account. Each sign-up then travels to the next module as a bundle, one item at a time.

  3. 03

    Add Create a New Customer

Click the + on the right, search CDP & CRM CareCloud and choose Create a New Customer. Select your connection, then map the form answers into the fields Make displays.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Send a test entry through your form, then click Run once. Read the bundles each module received, and look for the new profile in CareCloud.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

On the first module, set the schedule: every 15 minutes by default, never below 15 on the Free plan. Then switch the scenario on so each new sign-up reaches CareCloud without you.

Modules

What each CDP & CRM CareCloud module does

CDP & CRM CareCloud gives you 35 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

CDP & CRM CareCloud1

Create a Campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Sets up a new campaign in CareCloud straight from a scenario, so a promotion planned in another tool lands in the CDP without retyping.

When to use it
a marketing brief gets approved in your project tool and the matching campaign should exist in CareCloud right away.
Watch out
Make's doc lists no fields here, so open the module once with your connection ready and read what it asks for.
CDP & CRM CareCloud2

Create a New Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Adds a person to CareCloud as a fresh customer profile, filled with whatever the previous module collected.

When to use it
a sign-up form, a checkout or a store tablet captures a shopper who is not in the CDP yet.
Watch out
this module creates without checking. Place Search Customers before it when the same person could already be on file, or duplicates pile up.
CDP & CRM CareCloud3

Create a New Event

ActionIn the docs only

Records something a customer did as an event in CareCloud, which keeps their history complete even when the action happened elsewhere.

When to use it
a customer opens a support ticket, attends a workshop or answers a survey, and that moment belongs on their profile.
Watch out
event types come from your CareCloud setup; Search Event Types shows the ones available before you map anything.
CDP & CRM CareCloud4

Create a Property to a Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Attaches an extra piece of information to a customer who already exists, such as a preference or a segment kept as a property.

When to use it
a quiz or form answer tells you something new about a known customer.
Watch out
the customer has to be found first, so put Search Customers or Get a Customer ahead of it and map the profile it returns.
CDP & CRM CareCloud5

Create a Purchase

ActionIn the docs only

Writes a sale into CareCloud, so the purchase history and anything built on it reflect orders taken outside the CDP.

When to use it
an online shop or a point-of-sale tool confirms an order and CareCloud should know about it.
Watch out
test with a dummy order and Run once first; if the scenario runs twice on the same order, Make sends it twice.
CDP & CRM CareCloud6

Delete a Property on a Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Removes one property from a customer profile, which stops an outdated tag from steering the wrong campaign.

When to use it
a customer changes a preference or leaves a program, and the old value should disappear instead of lingering.
Watch out
a delete cannot be undone from Make, so try it on a test profile with Run once before switching the scenario on.
CDP & CRM CareCloud7

Get Detail of a Product

ActionIn the docs only

Pulls up the full record of one product, handy when a later module needs more than the bare product reference you started with.

When to use it
a purchase arrives with only a product reference and the follow-up email should show a readable product name.
Watch out
it works on a single product; to browse the catalog, Search Available Products fits better.
CDP & CRM CareCloud8

Get Points Overview

ActionIn the docs only

Gives you a customer's loyalty points picture in one step, ready to drop into a message or a dashboard.

When to use it
right after Create a Purchase, to tell the shopper where their balance stands, or before an agent answers a question about points.
Watch out
the doc does not describe the values returned, so run it once and read the bundle before mapping.
CDP & CRM CareCloud9

Get Purchase Summary

ActionIn the docs only

Returns a condensed view of a customer's buying rather than every order line, often all a report or a sales rep really needs.

When to use it
a CRM record or a team chat alert should show a customer's buying history at a glance.
Watch out
when you need the individual orders, switch to Search Customer Purchases instead.
CDP & CRM CareCloud10

Get a Campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Fetches one campaign from CareCloud so its details can travel into a brief, a spreadsheet or a message to the store teams.

When to use it
a campaign reference is stored in a ticket and the team wants the matching campaign shown next to it.
Watch out
it expects one specific campaign, so keep the reference returned by Create a Campaign or wherever you saved it.
CDP & CRM CareCloud11

Get a Collection of Event Properties

ActionIn the docs only

Brings back the properties tied to events, which tells you what data an event can carry before you create one.

When to use it
while building a flow around Create a New Event, to see what can be mapped.
Watch out
its name sits close to Search Event Properties; test both with Run once and keep the one whose bundles match your need.
CDP & CRM CareCloud12

Get a Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Retrieves one customer profile when you already know exactly who you want, the quickest way to enrich a reply or a ticket.

When to use it
a support tool passes a customer reference and the answer should use details stored in CareCloud.
Watch out
if all you hold is an email or a phone number, start with Search Customers instead.
CDP & CRM CareCloud13

Get a Product Group

ActionIn the docs only

Reads one product group, the family a set of items belongs to, so a scenario can reason on categories instead of single products.

When to use it
a purchase lands and the follow-up content depends on the product family.
Watch out
to see every group at once, run Search Product Groups; this one needs to know which group you mean.
CDP & CRM CareCloud14

Make an API Call

ActionIn the docs only

Reaches any endpoint of the CareCloud API through the connection you already set up, covering whatever the other modules leave out.

When to use it
the step you need has no ready-made module in the list.
Watch out
you write the request yourself, so you need to know which endpoint and method CareCloud expects before filling it in.
CDP & CRM CareCloud15

Search Available Products

SearchIn the docs only

Finds the products CareCloud lists as available and returns each match as its own bundle, so later modules handle them one by one.

When to use it
a chatbot or a landing page needs the products currently on offer.
Watch out
a search can come back empty; plan what the scenario should do in that case before you switch it on.
CDP & CRM CareCloud16

Search Campaign Products

SearchIn the docs only

Lists the products tied to a campaign, useful for turning a promotion into a product list for a site, a newsletter or a store team.

When to use it
a campaign goes live and partners need to know which items it covers.
Watch out
each product arrives as a separate bundle, so add an aggregator (the Make tool that gathers bundles into one) when the next step expects a single list.
CDP & CRM CareCloud17

Search Card Types

SearchIn the docs only

Shows the card types set up in your CareCloud account, a reference worth checking before you work on customer cards.

When to use it
while building a scenario on Search Customer Cards, to know which types exist.
Watch out
this is setup data that rarely moves, so running it on every execution mostly spends operations, the runs Make counts on your plan, for nothing.
CDP & CRM CareCloud18

Search Customer Cards

SearchIn the docs only

Tells you which cards a customer holds, so an agent or a message can mention the right one without guessing.

When to use it
a customer calls about their card and the help desk should display what CareCloud has on file.
Watch out
expect several bundles for one person when they hold more than one card, and map accordingly.
CDP & CRM CareCloud19

Search Customer Consents

SearchIn the docs only

Checks what a customer has agreed to before a scenario contacts them, which keeps your sends in line with their choices.

When to use it
just before the email or text step of a promotion flow.
Watch out
an empty result is not a yes; decide how the scenario treats a customer with no consent found before anything gets sent.
CDP & CRM CareCloud20

Search Customer Properties

SearchIn the docs only

Reads the properties stored on a customer, those extra details that do not fit in the standard profile.

When to use it
before Update a Property on a Customer, to see what is already there, or to personalize a message.
Watch out
every property comes back as its own bundle, so map with care or group them with an aggregator.
CDP & CRM CareCloud21

Search Customer Purchases

SearchIn the docs only

Walks through a customer's purchases one order at a time, exactly what order-level reports or a re-order reminder require.

When to use it
a customer asks for their order history, or the team wants each order copied to a spreadsheet.
Watch out
long histories mean many bundles, and every module after it spends one operation per bundle.
CDP & CRM CareCloud22

Search Customer Rewards

SearchIn the docs only

Finds the rewards attached to a customer, ready to mention in a message or on a store screen.

When to use it
a customer walks into a shop or reaches a birthday, and staff or the email should know what is waiting for them.
Watch out
pair it with Get Points Overview when the message should show both the balance and the rewards.
CDP & CRM CareCloud23

Search Customer Source Records

SearchIn the docs only

Going by its name, it shows the source records behind a customer profile, a way to see where the data came from.

When to use it
a profile looks wrong and an ops person wants to trace which system fed it.
Watch out
the Make doc does not explain these records, so run the module once on a customer you know to see what it returns.
CDP & CRM CareCloud24

Search Customer Vouchers

SearchIn the docs only

Lists the vouchers attached to a customer, so a reminder or an agent can point to the right one.

When to use it
a promotion is about to end and customers should be reminded of the vouchers they hold.
Watch out
each voucher is a separate bundle, so a customer with three vouchers makes the next modules run three times.
CDP & CRM CareCloud25

Search Customers

SearchIn the docs only

Finds the customers that match what you give it, the usual first step before any update, property change or purchase.

When to use it
a form or a shop sends contact details and you need the CareCloud profile behind them.
Watch out
zero results is a normal outcome, so plan how newcomers reach Create a New Customer instead of stopping the flow.
CDP & CRM CareCloud26

Search Event Properties

SearchIn the docs only

Looks up event properties with a search, returning each one as a bundle you can map or work through.

When to use it
you want a single property among many before mapping it into Create a New Event.
Watch out
the doc does not explain how it differs from Get a Collection of Event Properties, so compare their bundles with Run once.
CDP & CRM CareCloud27

Search Event Types

SearchIn the docs only

Lists the kinds of events CareCloud knows, so you choose a valid type before recording anything.

When to use it
the first time you build on Create a New Event, or after someone adds a new type in CareCloud.
Watch out
it describes your setup rather than customer activity, so it rarely belongs in a scenario that runs all day.
CDP & CRM CareCloud28

Search Events

SearchIn the docs only

Pulls recorded events back out of CareCloud, so customer activity can feed a report, a CRM timeline or an alert.

When to use it
a sales rep wants a customer's events copied into their pipeline tool.
Watch out
a broad search can return a lot of bundles, and each one costs operations in the modules that follow.
CDP & CRM CareCloud29

Search Product Groups

SearchIn the docs only

Delivers the full list of product groups, the families of your catalog, each as a bundle.

When to use it
to copy your category tree into a website or a spreadsheet so both tools use the same families.
Watch out
once you know the group you want, Get a Product Group fetches just that one and keeps the scenario simpler.
CDP & CRM CareCloud30

Search Purchase Items

SearchIn the docs only

Opens purchases down to the item level, so you see what was actually in the basket.

When to use it
a cross-sell email should react to a specific product bought, not only to the fact that an order exists.
Watch out
one purchase can hold many items, so the modules after it may run many times for a single order.
CDP & CRM CareCloud31

Search Statuses

SearchIn the docs only

Returns the statuses defined in CareCloud, a reference list to have before you update or sort customers by status.

When to use it
while designing a flow that moves customers from one status to another.
Watch out
the doc does not say which records these statuses apply to, so run it once and check before building on it.
CDP & CRM CareCloud32

Search Stores

SearchIn the docs only

Lists the stores registered in CareCloud, which lets a scenario tie a purchase or an event to the right location.

When to use it
a point-of-sale export names a shop and you need the matching CareCloud store.
Watch out
a store spelled differently in two tools will not match, so compare the names once before relying on the result.
CDP & CRM CareCloud33

Search a Collection of Status records

SearchIn the docs only

Brings status records back in bulk, judging by its name, which differs from the list of possible statuses that Search Statuses gives.

When to use it
a report needs the status records themselves rather than the reference list.
Watch out
no detail exists in the doc, so compare its bundles with those of Search Statuses using Run once before choosing.
CDP & CRM CareCloud34

Update a Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Changes an existing customer profile so it matches what another tool just learned, such as new contact details.

When to use it
a customer edits their account in your shop, or a support agent corrects a profile after a call.
Watch out
it needs the exact customer, so place Search Customers or Get a Customer right before it.
CDP & CRM CareCloud35

Update a Property on a Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Replaces the value of a property a customer already has, keeping one clean value instead of stacking new ones.

When to use it
a preference switches from one option to another after a survey or a phone call.
Watch out
if the property does not exist yet on that profile, Create a Property to a Customer is the module to pick.

FAQ

CDP & CRM CareCloud and Make: common questions

01Is the CDP & CRM CareCloud Make integration free?
Yes. CDP & CRM CareCloud is a standard app in Make, so all 35 modules work on the Free plan. That plan has limits worth knowing: 2 active scenarios, scheduled runs no closer than 15 minutes apart, 5 minutes per execution, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute, lift the cap on active scenarios and allow 40 minutes per execution. Usage is counted in operations, one per module run on one bundle. Your CareCloud subscription is a separate matter this page does not cover.
02What is needed to connect CDP & CRM CareCloud to Make?
Your CareCloud account and a Make account. Make's documentation lists no specific prerequisite for this app, so the generic path applies: add any CareCloud module, click Create a connection, name it if you want, then either approve Make on the CareCloud page or paste the key CareCloud provides, and save. The connection is created once and reused by every CareCloud module in your scenarios, so nothing needs repeating when you add a second or third module to the same flow.
03Can CDP & CRM CareCloud start a Make scenario on its own?
No. The app has no trigger module in Make, neither scheduled nor instant, so CareCloud cannot tell Make that something happened. There are two ways around it. Start the scenario with a module from another app, such as a form, a shop or a spreadsheet, and let the CareCloud modules act after it. Or start it on a schedule: the first module runs every 15 minutes by default, with 15 minutes as the Free plan minimum and 1 minute on paid plans, and a search such as Search Customers reads what it finds at that moment.
04What if a CDP & CRM CareCloud module is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. It is one of the 35 modules and reaches any endpoint of the CareCloud API with the connection you already have, so no second login is needed. You write the request yourself, which means knowing the endpoint and method CareCloud expects. Keep in mind that Make flags its own documentation for this app as limited: it gives module names but no field details. When a module behaves unexpectedly, Run once and the bundles it shows are your best guide before you fall back on a raw API call.
05Should you pick Make or n8n for CDP & CRM CareCloud?
It depends on the modules your use case needs. On Make, CareCloud comes with 35 ready modules, 16 actions and 19 searches, plus Make an API Call for anything else, and it runs on every plan including Free. It has no trigger, so a CareCloud flow on Make always starts from another app or a schedule. The same app often has an n8n node too, so look at what that node offers and set it against your list of steps. Pick the tool where the steps you need exist today, rather than the one you would have to extend.
