Glassdoor alternatives for employers: where your employer brand should live, and how to stop paying

Six options compared, one per reason to leave, and an eight-step exit plan.

The short answer: you can't get your Glassdoor page taken down, but you can stop paying for it. Keep the free employer account so you can reply to reviews. Then move the budget. The Indeed Company Page is free and already shows reviews and salaries where candidates look for jobs. Your LinkedIn Page is free. And a careers page you own, built with Breezy HR, Manatal, JOIN or Teamtailor, keeps candidates on your turf. We compared these six options and checked their prices for 2026.

The real reasons

Why employers drop their Glassdoor subscription, and what doesn't change

The free employer account still works: you can claim your page and reply to reviews. What companies cancel is the paid layer, meaning the Enhanced Profile, employer branding ads and review analytics. Six reasons come up again and again.

Pricing nobody publishes

None of Glassdoor's paid employer products has a public price. Employer Branding, Spotlight Pages, Review Intelligence: all of it is quote-based. You can't compare before the sales call, and every renewal is a fresh negotiation with no benchmark.

Paying doesn't buy control over reviews

Glassdoor's own rules say it never removes a review because a company paid or asked, and it doesn't archive reviews based on age. The subscription buys you presentation, not moderation. Some HR people still feel otherwise: one widely shared 2023 account says a review only came down once the company became a customer. It's a single story, not a policy, but it shows how the product is perceived.

You're paying the same group twice

Glassdoor and Indeed belong to the same parent. Their Employer Branding Hub manages your Glassdoor Enhanced Profile and your Indeed Company Page from one interface, and jobs you post on Indeed show up on Glassdoor automatically. If you already spend on Indeed, part of your Glassdoor bill is overlap.

A platform being folded into another

In 2025 the parent company announced 1,300 job cuts across Indeed and Glassdoor and said Glassdoor's operations would be folded into Indeed. Glassdoor stays as a brand. Signing an annual deal on a product whose team and roadmap are moving is a bet.

Candidate trust is slipping

On the biggest consumer review site, Glassdoor sits at 1.1 out of 5, with 94% one-star reviews. Job seekers say it censors criticism; employers say it lets false claims through. Since 2024 it has asked for real names at sign-up while promising reviews stay anonymous, which worried part of its user base.

Your candidates have other places to look

In the US, job seekers also check Indeed Company Pages, LinkedIn, Comparably, Built In and The Muse. Glassdoor is one stop among several, so a big Glassdoor contract buys you less attention than it did a few years ago.

The 6 alternatives

Glassdoor alternatives for your employer brand, one by one

Each profile covers why to move budget there, who it's for, its limit, how to bring your content over and its price, read on the vendor's official page. When a vendor doesn't publish a price, we say so: quote-based. Scores come from our reviews of applicant tracking systems and job boards; for Indeed and LinkedIn, it's the tool's score in our job board comparison. kununu (strong in German-speaking Europe), Comparably and certifications like Great Place To Work aren't ranked here: they add to your brand but publish no price list, so they don't replace it.

01

Indeed Company Page: the same audience, no subscription

Free

Why move here. It's the obvious swap, because it lives in the same group. Your Indeed Company Page shows employee reviews and salaries right next to your job posts. Once you claim it, you get analytics (views, average ratings), up to 10 "Why join us" content pieces and the ability to reply to reviews, all free.

Who it's for. Any company already posting jobs on Indeed.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Glassdoor to get away from the Indeed group: you're staying with the same owner.

Its limit. Same review rules as Glassdoor: a review that follows the guidelines stays up. You can report fake, defamatory or discriminatory ones and reply to the rest. Premium features run through the same quote-based Employer Branding Hub.

How to switch. Your page probably exists already: Indeed creates one with your first job post. Claim it with an email on your company domain, then copy over your Glassdoor text, photos and videos. Our Indeed exit guide covers the job posting side.

LinkedIn Page: the showcase candidates already follow

Free

Why move here. A LinkedIn Page costs nothing, and it's where your employees share news and where qualified candidates check who you are. You post, track analytics and add a call-to-action button pointing to your careers page.

Who it's for. Companies hiring for sales, tech, marketing and management roles.

Who it's not for. Frontline hiring. The audience is thin, and the page only works if someone posts regularly.

Its limit. No employee reviews: you write the story, nobody rates it. The Life tab, which shows your culture, requires a paid Career Pages license, and LinkedIn doesn't publish the price (it depends on company size and impressions).

How to switch. Cut your Glassdoor "about us" content into short posts with team photos, and point the button to your careers page. Our LinkedIn exit guide covers its other limits.

Breezy HR: a careers page for $0

Free plan

Why move here. Breezy HR's Bootstrap plan is free and still gives you a customizable careers page and referral program. For a small company cancelling Glassdoor, that's a branded page with no invoice at all.

Who it's for. Small teams hiring one role at a time.

Who it's not for. Anyone with several open roles: the free plan stops at one active job, and the next plan jumps to $157 a month billed yearly.

Its limit. That jump is steep. Annual billing includes two months free, so month-to-month costs $189 on Startup. Our ATS review gives it an average score.

How to switch. Open the free plan, post your current role with your Glassdoor visuals, and link it from your Indeed and LinkedIn pages.

Manatal: a full ATS at a small-team price

Low cost

Why move here. Manatal combines candidate tracking with a careers page on your own domain, from the first paid plan. It's the top score in our ATS review, with a published price.

Who it's for. Small and mid-size companies hiring all year with one or two people in HR.

Who it's not for. A company that hires twice a year: per-user monthly billing gets expensive for little use.

Its limit. Every hiring manager you add is another seat. Enterprise runs $35 per user per month yearly, Enterprise Plus $55.

How to switch. The 14-day trial needs no card. Connect your domain to the careers page during the trial and move your Glassdoor content over.

JOIN: a careers page, paid per job

Pay per job

Why move here. Every JOIN plan includes a branded careers page, and it pushes your jobs to multiple boards. You pay per job you publish, not a yearly quote.

Who it's for. Small companies opening a handful of roles a year that want a price they can read.

Who it's not for. Teams with 15 or more roles open at once: that moves to a custom quote.

Its limit. JOIN quotes in euros (a USD selector exists on its pricing page). A careers page has no employee reviews, so it persuades with what you show, not with ratings.

How to switch. The 14-day trial on Advanced covers 5 jobs with no card. Rebuild your Glassdoor content there, then link it from Indeed and LinkedIn.

Teamtailor: a careers site built for employer branding

Careers site

Why move here. Teamtailor puts the careers site and employer branding at the center: team pages, stories, open roles, all on your brand. It's the closest thing to a Glassdoor Enhanced Profile, except it sits on your own site.

Who it's for. Companies that hire continuously and want a polished careers site without a developer.

Who it's not for. Anyone leaving Glassdoor because of opaque pricing: Teamtailor is quote-based too.

Its limit. No public price, and some users find day-to-day navigation painful. Ask for a demo on your real use case, not a showroom account.

How to switch. Gather your Glassdoor content, photos and employee stories before the demo, and ask how long the careers site takes to go live.

Exit plan

Stop paying Glassdoor in eight steps

You won't delete your page: Glassdoor doesn't remove a company profile just because the company asks, unless the business has dissolved. What you're doing is ending the subscription without losing your content or your voice. Plan on three months, most of it measurement.

01

Keep the free employer account

First

Don't close your access. The free employer account is enough to reply to reviews, and cancelling doesn't remove your page. Check who holds the login and add a second admin so nobody loses access when someone leaves.

02

Week 1

Find the renewal date and the notice period. That's usually where an extra year sneaks in. Put a reminder two months before the deadline and send your cancellation in writing.

Claim your Indeed Company Page

Build your careers page

Pick a tool (Breezy HR, Manatal, JOIN or Teamtailor) and rebuild your Glassdoor content there. It's the only page where nobody else decides what shows up. Our guide to ATS for small businesses helps you pick.

07

Keep replying to reviews

Exit pitfalls

What makes a Glassdoor exit fail

A Glassdoor exit rarely fails because of the tool you pick. It fails because you think you left a platform that's still showing your page. Six traps keep coming up.

Thinking your page will disappear

Cancelling removes nothing. Your page, reviews and salaries stay online. If you're leaving to silence reviews, all you lose is your branding. Keep the free account and keep replying.

Going quiet on reviews

A page with no employer replies looks worse than a bad review. Replying was never part of what you paid extra for: it stays free. Block 30 minutes a week.

Missing the renewal date

Annual contracts often auto-renew. If you read yours the month it's due, you may be locked in for another year. Write down the notice period today.

Losing your content

The videos and employee stories on your Enhanced Profile are your best employer branding assets. Download them before the subscription ends, not after.

Swapping one opaque quote for another

Teamtailor is quote-based too, and Built In and Comparably publish no pricing. That's fine, but sign short and compare against your Glassdoor cost, or you just change invoices.

Gaming the reviews

Pushing staff to post glowing reviews, or chasing removals, shows eventually and costs trust. Candidates read dates and tone. Fix what reviews complain about, and reply.

FAQ · 8 questions

Glassdoor alternatives: frequently asked questions

  • Can I delete my company's Glassdoor page?

No. Glassdoor won't remove a company profile just because the company asks; the exception is a business that has dissolved. Cancelling your subscription doesn't touch the page. What you keep is the ability to reply to reviews with the free account.

  • Can I get a negative Glassdoor review removed?

Not because it's negative, not because you pay, and not because it's old. You can report a review that breaks the guidelines, such as a fake, defamatory or discriminatory one. Tip: a calm, specific reply under the review reassures candidates more than a removal request.

  • Is Glassdoor free for employers?

Yes for the basic employer account, which lets you reply to reviews without a subscription. Everything else is paid and quote-based: Enhanced Profile, employer branding ads, review analytics.

  • How much does a Glassdoor Enhanced Profile cost?

Glassdoor publishes no price; it's all quote-based. The figures you'll see online come from third parties and vary a lot by company size. Ask for a written quote with the feature list, and weigh it against what a free Indeed Company Page already gives you.

  • Are Glassdoor and Indeed the same company?

They're two brands under the same parent. Their Employer Branding Hub manages both your Glassdoor profile and your Indeed Company Page, and jobs posted on Indeed appear on Glassdoor. In 2025 the parent said Glassdoor's operations would be folded into Indeed.

  • What's the best free Glassdoor alternative for employers?

The Indeed Company Page: it shows reviews and salaries, lets you reply and costs nothing. Add your LinkedIn Page, and if you want a careers page you own, Breezy HR's free plan covers one open job.

  • Where do job seekers read company reviews besides Glassdoor?

Mostly on Indeed Company Pages, which show reviews and salaries. Comparably also collects employee ratings. For pay data in tech, many candidates check Levels.fyi, and Blind for anonymous chatter. You can't control any of them, so replying where reviews live still matters most.

  • What should I do about a defamatory review?

Report it to the platform first, citing the rule it breaks. If it stays up and makes a specific false accusation, a lawyer can send a takedown notice and, if needed, go to court. It's slow and the outcome isn't guaranteed, so save it for serious cases.
